| Didn't like this episode for most of the part. Gr33ncar said: aoba better make a smart decision next episode...he was a complete idiot in this one ^. Coming out of the cockpit midair? Is he still sane? I got annoyed by him calling Hina over and over again. Couldn't he just grab her robot with his .. whatever that robot is called, Luxon or something. | At first I thought the new incoming pink mecha was Hina, then the pilot looked different, turns out it was actually Hina ! Now I'm confused why would Hina bother to save someone on the opposing side? NOOO Hina ruined the coupling of two boys!!! |

| Adorable Mayuka was one of my favourite characters when I watched it when I was airing. Having watched RahXephon too, Mayuka reminds me of Megumi Shitow now. That was a cute moment Aoba falling asleep when she was teaching him about the last 70 years of history that he missed (maybe this factors in to why he just forced disconnect from Dio, having not absorbed knowledge of the repercussions). It does seem like the crew of the Cygnus, despite all being on the same side, have conflicting agendas (which is always a thrill to see in military sci-fi). Captain Gengo Kuramitsu likely anticipated that they'd be needing Aoba to pilot the Luxon even before the Cygnus got damaged. I'm surprised Aoba didn't recognise that the pink mecha looked like the one Hina rescued him with in the past. I liked that Hina, who in this time is a professional soldier, is questioning Aoba's fighting style (Basketball inspired?). Aoba's actions after discovering that Hina was an enemy pilot while stupid is understandable, Hina is the only person he knows from his own time and was the reason he's in the future. He could've taken her as POW if he didn't force a disconnect. |
