Now I'm very interested about this untranslated version of the second manga. Does anyone know of a good translator that can do it for us, poor mortals that can't read japanese?

I've seen the pictures in the second version of the manga. By the facial expressions alone, we have an even cuter Yuno there: the anime Yuno sometimes shows facial cruel expressions, and in this new version, Yuno is insane, but not a cold calculating bitch, and her facial expressions make her just as cute as the Yuno from the original manga. So, this second, new manga seems to make her look like a tragic villain even more than the anime does.

As far as the changes go, it seems this new manga version is a living storyboard of the anime! Even the scene sequence is nearly identical to the one that happened in the anime (it even has an "Murmur special" section, it seems!) If the anime ending is identical to the second version of the manga, I'll be very disappointed: in this new manga, the ending is expanded, but it doesn't seem to be that much different from the original manga (at least as far as I can see in the pictures.)

After 25 episodes i still can't stand that damn Yukiteru. He must be one of the most annoying male character ever. I use to like Yuno but lately she have been annoying to. I am glad it is only one episode left.

Dafuq? When Yuno released Murmur's limiter, I couldn't help but laugh for the entire fight scene. Yeah it was awesome in the manga but since they added the entire battle, it more cringe-worthy in the anime for me - full on DBZ mode. Also, censors made their appearance yet again.

Excited that the conclusion is next week!

Actually Yuno DID throw the sphere on Yukki as shown in the anime.

Most people don't know this, but when the final volume of Mirai Nikki was released in Japan, the author made some rather drastic changes to how the final chapters played out compared to what happened when it was released chapter by chapter. Most notable was a change where in the old version, Yuno made Yukki's parents fall down to their near-death, whereas in the new version the scene is cut entirely and is replaced by Yuno simply throwing the sphere on Yukki.

That's not the only change either. In fact, what you see in episode 25 reflects most of the new changes that Esuno made to the final volume of Mirai Nikki, including making Yuno/Yukki more sympathetic, making Murmur more monstrous, and a couple of changes to the ending as well. The anime still embellishes a bit: the Minene/Murmur fight scene wasn't in the manga, and Wakaba didn't strip naked either, but I wanted to clarify that most of the "changes" you see in this episode were actually done by the author.

I'm not sure about how the final volume plays out regarding all these other aspects (like making Yukki and Yuno more sympathetic,) but this is how the sphere scene originally happens in the manga:

See? The sphere opens, and then "swallows" him. It is not thrown on him. She doesn't claim the powers of the old core to do it either – it is implied she uses her own powers.

Honestly, I doubt the changes the author made were really that drastic compared to what we see in the anime. But I'll see if I can find this volume.

That picture is from the old version of volume 12. It plays out differently from the version that Esuno later published in volume 12. Here is the new version in the spoiler below.

Unfortunately the new version was never translated, so I don't know how accurate the dialogue in episode 25 is, but I assume it's probably similar to whatever changes were made in the new volume 12.

I study Japanolgy at college, allow me to translate for you.

In order of reading:

First panel: Yuno: "This diary is my current feelings!"
3rd panel: Yuno: "I love you too, Yukkii!"
5th panel: 9th: "Yukiteru!"

So yeah, exactly like the anime.

I'll have a look at the entire issue, but I'm in my first year at the moment(of the 5) so it will likely be beyond my grasp.

Regarding the illusionary sphere part, the anime says it's the core of Deus that grants her those powers. In the manga, it's just her own god power that allows her to do so. By justifying she only has those godlike powers when she steals the core, the anime creates a plothole. Also, in the manga, Yuno really means it when she says she would be happy with everyone and Yukki was happy using her. In the anime, she does that to make Yukki give up on her.

how does that creates a plot hole? if anything they remove the plothole about yuno not having powers during the first world.

Not really. They already solved that by saying in the anime Murmur supressed Yuno's memories. If she can't remember she has god powers, how will she abuse them in the first place? And you're wrong saying she had no powers: both the anime and the manga (the manga does this much better, though) show how she has a godlike agility, speed and strength. How could she deflect all those knives from 7th being just a normal girl? Or dodge those bombs while running in school, or hold big weapons so easily? There's the plothole the anime reintroduces when they say Yuno's powers come from Deus' stolen core.

The murmur thing with yuno's memorys was also done only in the anime, so that's means that in the manga it was never implied that yuno was that good at fighting because she was god, yeah it would be a nice explanation, but it was never intended.

Ok, so I started translating the thing... With some effort I can do it quite nicely, however it's pretty time-consuming, and I just don't have that much time right now. However, I just read through it and compared to the anime and I can say: It's pretty much the same.

Only differences:

- The anime has Yuno explain her plans a bit more, as a sort of reminder to the viewer. She's pretty much just repeating parts from previous episodes.

- When 4th gets the phone call in the manga, he is in the office, not in a questioning.

- Action scenes have been extended in the anime. There are no exploding spheres in the manga, and the 9th vs mur mur battle is a bit shorter.

- When we see 3rd in the manga, he's standing over a corpse, instead of letting a woman barely escape like in the anime.

- 8th isn't in a pyjama in the manga, and 7th are there with her.

- No striptease act from Wasanabe in the manga.

The rest is all the same, up to and including Yuno's speech when Yukkii is in the orb. I believe that was the thing we started this for in the first place.

Also, I hadn't noticed 9ths arm was stitched on before the manga, heh.

Also, I think Gods only have control over their own world, therefor Yuno can't use the 1st world God abilities in the 2nd or 3rd, and so she only uses that sphere she stole. The "fragment of Deus" does make an appearance in the manga as well, Yuno shows it briefly when Yukkii gets captured.

Mur Mur doesn't get her abilities from being a God, but from just being a special being altogether, hence she never loses her powers.

First and foremost, thanks for your time and your translation!

Anyway, what bugs me is that in the *first* version of the manga, Yuno *had* godlike powers. When the author changed that, he should also have rewriten the whole story as well so Yuno wouldn't demonic speed, agility and knowledge (I mean, c'mon... she was so smart she could even induce Akise to stab her in the right places just to stop the bleeding!) Keeping the whole story the very same and rewriting the very end just to say she doesn't have them just adds this big plothole. Plus, the fact that Yuno was so cold in the first version of the story was actually very shocking. Much more than it is in the Anime.

Also, about 3rd, the (potential?) serial killer in the 3rd world... I guess they want a brighter future for everyone in the anime.

I get what you're saying, but Yuno just seems too... "weak" in the 2nd world to be a god to me. Gods should have power above Mur Mur's level, yet a little gas almost got her down? And there's other situations where she -nearly- kicks the bucket, too.

Bleep! Too many manga readers in this thread. Isn't there a manga forum to discuss in? I'm gonna have to wait until I've watched the last episode before I can read this stuff.

Having said that, the episode was pretty good. While I can't call this show 'good', it certainly is delivering in many ways. Once Yuki dried his eyes, the show started to develop some tension. Not sure when it happened, but probably in the late teens, episode-wise. Now, I'm looking forward to the finale and I have high hopes for it. While my score wasn't high before, I did raise it after this episode and depending on the finale, I may have to again.

I tend to only talk about where this episode is = to in the manga point. Therefore I never spoil anything as minor things are just details the anime may have skipped they got around to in the episode due to time constraints.

One ep' left and both Yuki and Yuno are still standing?
I'm guessing the final ep' is going to be quite compact - a battle (?), enevitable talking and aftermath has to be covered?

The scene when they played the instrumental piano version of "Blood Teller" was truly moving. I'm really enjoying the buildup to the season finale, because Mirai Nikki's been a hell of a ride.

That's weird, until now everything indicated that both her parents were assholes...well, at least they both cursed her when she locked them in cage.
Either this timeline is different or something happened within this 1 year until she killed them.

Lets see... What do you think would happen to you if your child was locked in a cage, wasn't allowed out, starved, sick and left alone when the ambulance came?

Pretty much, the timeline is the same, it just so happens that in between this moment and the moment she snaps the abuse compunded over and over. Just a little bit of water over and over is enough to break even a rock you know. Yukiteru cried for that second Yuno but that Yuno would have gone down the same twisted slope the first one did. This one however has at least a slight chance.
