A great ending both for the case and the episode (the scene between our two main characters).

I still wonder what Roscoe actually wants.

Yup it was a great ending and it couldn't have happened better.

And that scene with the Leviathan was amazing. He was pierced by so many arrows and even more than the arrows were the gold bars behind him. Treasure trove ^^

I loved the scene where Kujo lifted Victorique so she could get Leviathan's mask ^_^

Best arc so far. This one was actually unpredictable, and the hints were very subtle.

I feel like every one of these mysteries leaves some type of question unanswered in my mind.

WHY DID LEVIATHAN KILL IAN?! Just because Leviathan was growing demented and trying to make a point to the king by killing some kid with liquid gold? 'Cause that sounds like real bullshit to me.

Ahhhh, it all make sense now. That alchemist was an african, hence the mask. Though, is it an error of animation that his hands were white? Or was he wearing white gloves?

Anyway, he had quite a tragic story. He was betrayed by his own heart. Ended up killing the only child who believed in him (getting drown in melting gold must be an awful way to die).

I'm curious about Brian Roscoe. Somehow, I feel like his mission is to protect Victorique from her father. From what we learned, Albert is obscessed in protecting his nation against a world war and he found as a solution to use an incredibly intelligent child. How? That, I don't know. The thing that made me believe that his that he seem to protect Cordellia and asked Kujo if he could protect her.

I laughed so hard when Victorique was all like "I know your face behind the mask!" *can't reach it* LOL

Best arc so far. The tale of the alchemist is a sad one.

Such a sad tale. I feel sorry for Leviathan. And just like him, Victorique is being used as a tool. The story seems to be picking up a bit. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Poor Leviathan, he was a poor slave who escaped death.

Finally, this episode was a big step up. Three episodes are definitely better to present a proper case, also nice that this one had more relevance for the overall plot.

Victorique can be cute at some times, like when she could't reach the mask, but on the other hand are her mood shifts really annoying.

That was a good ending, seems like this is where the story of Victorique's father begins.

Respect for the African Man, he just want to save his homeland from the invaders... Atleast he assert dominance with a T-pose until the end...

Can this show become are boring/ predictable? Wait wait what?

The longer I watch this series, the more I am convince that the high score is do in large part because of the people who saw it back in 11/12 and were somehow awestruck by it. Maybe also because back then anime wasn't as popular as it is in 23 so it was easier for the westerners to be awestruck by anything new and edgy like this show must have looked like back then.

Not in 23, oh no Sr, no in 23 this show has aged badly and Victorique comes off as nothing but an annoying af loli cvnt, Kujou comes off has nothing more than a a weakling man servant, ripe to be bullied his entire life. And Avril .... Who gives a flying squirrel @ss to Avril.

Kujo: "I'm Victorique's friend!"
Victorique: "Sing or I'll physically abuse you until you do my bidding"
What a beautiful, totally not one-sided friendship this is.
