| I don't know how I missed this. Completely fell under my radar that Nihei had penned another show. Absolutely love this fantasy/sci-fi setting. Reminds me of Nausicaa but with a stronger science wtf element. Of course MAL's shounenista fast action, fast payoff crowd is going to HATE this with all their hearts though. How dare the first episode not be an action packed banger with lots of explanations? |

| Intriguing worldbuilding and environments, with the brumal expanse of the "Snow Sea" and imposing skytrees ("Orbital Spire Trees", apparently) that breach the atmosphere being just a few examples of what this anime is presenting you with already. The fight scenes were leagues more cohesively directed than I thought they'd be, appearing very realistic. Only qualm I have so far is the framerate, which is far too low, making the otherwise decent 3D animation look oddly stiff. Imagine this anime with a higher framerate of 30fps for a second. |

| Interesting first episode. I don't know if it was luck or bad luck, but the floater passed through the hole just fine. |
