Oh my! This was just amazing! I'm confused, shocked, sad and all together. About any possible emotion is manifesting itself in me. I don't know what to think. What an episode. I wasn't ready for that one.

me too....I wanna see Eren succed because that's the only logical ending they can give. The manga umm....isayam became Stephen king at the ending. But the akatsuki no requiem ending was so befitting for AOT.

I really hated the CGI animation of Season 4 Part 1. But the writing and animation of Part 2, especially this episode, bought me on board. This was an epic episode, watching it after episode 10 of Demon Slayer I got 1h of best quality anime. Hajime Isayama it's an incredible writer and Mappa did a brilliant job adapting it. In December 2020 I wouldn't have thought I would praise Mappa for Attack on Titan, but they have improved a lot this season.

Still unanswered questions like why she helped the king after what he has done to her people he basically raped her a child for his sake and why she returned to him in the first place after she transformed if she's a good person why kill others
She was already a slave for the king. She didn't had anywhere to go. Nobody would ever accept her of who she was now. That's why she went back to the king, because she knew king wouldn't abandon her now that she has the power.

She was snatched of her own free will and raised like a cattle to do work since childhood. That's why she couldn't make decisions and had to rely on the king.

From You, 2000 Years Ago...I am finally here to end your suffering.

The series has finally hit its peak, the resounding climax to an arduous yet astounding buildup, turning it from a very good story to a masterpiece, oh what a joy. To think that Eren, screaming like his old self for one last time embraces Ymir as she finally snaps (her face also has been revealed, which is very nice).

Though realizing that all except her fellowmen will suffer, she is still bounded to her Subjects, and her not letting Zeke's euthanization plan and the Allied Forces ruin all her ETERNALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL SUFFERINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG on building up the Titans, there is only one way for the Eldians to truly survive....the answer was right there, how come we've realized it now that all hell's loose. Hence folks, we're now here, the 2000 years of narrative and buildup left us to this.

Guys can't we all agree that we're excited for next week, cos it's sure gonna be a RUMBLING & BLOODY VALENTINE.

Ymir's story is so heartbreaking :( I also wonder why they drew the eyes like that.

The titans in the wall! Of course, they were teased so early on, they had to appear in the story somewhen - and we've now reached that point. And darn that huge titan... Probably even Levi couldn't kill the thing...

fuck me that was a well done episode. OST was on point and va's yet again did a fantastic job, animation wasn't too bad either fwiw.

though that part with mikasa not hearing armin was kinda odd given how almost right after he calls her with an even lesser volume (and also looking away) and she right away responds :P

Colossal Titans were looking good this episode and the doomsday atmosphere was on point. I'm optimistic that the upcoming terror will be portrayed magnificently.

So yeah, a great adaptation overall. But eff Eren. His attitude, the manipulation and the Rumbling left a bad taste. I will still try to go into the rest of the anime open minded.

When mappa starts doing better animations, they mess up something else. The speech at the end of the episode was a big let down, it should have conveyed more fear, more emotion

ooof, it's my first discussion..
and WHAT THE ACTUAL F* WAS THIS EPISODE..
I had a cup of coffee before this and it didn't wake me up. But after this episode, I got very energetic and excited..
Also this episode felt very short xp
.
.
I kindof expected Ymir not to answer Zeke, and turn to Eren.. but didn't expect Eren to be the one to follow her to insure her that she should be Free while Zeke in the background saying no shit I am a royal blood xpppppppp

Anyways all in all, great episode, can't wait to see how things go on from here on!!! cx

Aaaaaand it's here, the long-awaited(or not lol) RUMBLINGGGGGG!! Gotta say this was the most hyped and saddest episode for me yet, in the overall expanded all revealed snk world of course, but still like the level of sadness-anger-grief experienced while Ymir's backstory and then the EPIC crossover to Eren getting all long centipede skeleton-like and activating the fking rumbling with all of Ymir's pent up frustration getting addressed felt incredibly relieving only to realize this mf is but of course planning on purging the entirety of the world outside the walls ;-; like bruh but I kinda maybe a tiny bit get it and alongside that invite in the willy nilly free wandering titans outside the walls to go ahead & have their fair share off ppl food *cue tears* and there comes again the realization that what has happened is irreversible and all those innocent children we started this journey with are pretty much doomed.

p.s. Zeke getting facepalmed was oddly awfully satisfying lmao and that got me to missing Levi & Hange so here's to hoping they show up soon real soon and somehow save the day, well at least the best they can in this awful(?) situation (>-<)/*

Oof that was long but short and sweetly, it was an incredible episode in every aspect of the word, Isayama is hats-off an awfully good magaka and all the incredible VAs as well as MAPPA serveddddd, yes they did, with the literal most engrossing storytelling and bgm, it was EPIC and I'm here for it alllll!!

Can anyone explain without spoiling too much why Eren was able to Talk no Jutsu Ymir even tho she's supposed to answer royal blood beck and call.Seems like an inconsistency.

Other than that great EP, Yuki Kaji might be one of my favourite Japanese VAs. Ymir's backstory had that eery dark Vikings vibe to it and I loved it and the Rumbling gave me goosebumps.

From ep 81s preview it seems like this would harm more people than Eren intended and kill a lot of Eldians within and outside the walls. Wierd hole in Eren's logic but aight

Ymir's predisposition is pretty much explained by Frieda in the beginning of the flashback.

"She's a kind girl who's always thinking of others"

"Because this world is full of pain and suffering... You should because someone everybody loves"

Ymir's nature was a extreme and twisted version of that. Or rather, the Frieda's interpretation of the girl in the book is a prettified and romanticized assumption of what Ymir really represented.

Someone who never made decisions for herself or for her own sake, always sacrificed herself for others and only knew to live by wholly giving herself up body and soul to a authority, even after gaining unimaginable power.

It's not that she couldn't resist, it was neither in her nature NOR in her nurture to resist.
A slave in every way.

This was such a heavy episode, We finally got to see Ymir's backstory. Poor Ymir, She's been suffering all alone for eternity.
We finally saw how the whole Titan power began but what exactly was that spine-like parasite thingy, An alien or God?
Maybe we'll know or never know. Top tier episode as usual!

Because there was nothing forcing her to obey. Obeying the royal blood was always a choice, a choice she always made due to her slave mentality.

MAPPA goated once again, thank you for your service kings!

Yuki Kaji's voice acting was insane once again. I loved this episode and all the original frames added to it. THe rumbling's impact was much more intense than the manga, due to the direction, animation and OST. I really loved it and the sense of terror it evoked. Not a fan of them skipping........ 123 before that last bit but whatever, I guess they'll add it later. Eren's titan's face was as furious and hateful as in the manga, we love to see it. I kinda imagined Eren to be yelling in an imposing way rather than that calm monologue we got, but it was still impressive.

Last kino ep for a while, to me at least. I'm gonna be following it still but with mild interest until we get to my faves 130/131

Eren's genocidal plans are finally fully revealed! Flashback tells us of the plight of the people of ymir and their past in a really cool storybook-type format right before Eren breaks the curse of peace from the people of ymir and begins the rumbling. Despite not having royal blood himself the presence of Zeke allowed him to begin the rumbling and break the vow beginning a sick transformation sequence. Armin's realization is pretty horrifying too. Excited to see what comes next.

As much as I disliked the last fifth of the manga, MAPPA is doing a good job adapting this. Solid music, art, voice acting. Eren's VA nailed it once more.

Seeing the start of the rumbling was quite a sight. And Gabi's expression of defeat/failure gave me the warmest feelings of schadenfreude attainable.

Every week for the past month I watch the new AOT episode and say to myself "This is the best thing I've ever watched", and the very next week, they somehow manage to top themselves each time. This episode was amazing in every way possible, the backstory, the OST, the VA, just everything was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to see how they outdo themselves again next week, it seems impossible but they somehow keep managing to do it.

I rarely get chills watching stuff but seeing the beginning of the rumbling animated definitely gave me them. It's just going to get better and better from here. The music had me so hyped along with the visuals.

I don't know what else to say apart from the fact that I loved every second of this episode, and the parallel of the title in this episode to the title from the very first episode is so fucking good. It's gonna be hard waiting for next Sunday.
