"It's all meaningless. No matter what dreams or hopes you had. No matter how blessed a life you've lived. It's all the same if you're shredded by rocks. Everyone will die someday. Does that mean life is meaningless? Was there even any meaning in us being born? Would you say that of our fallen comrades? Their lives... were they meaningless? No, they weren't! It's us who gives meaning to our comrade's lives! The brave fallen! The anguished fallen! The ones who will remember them...are us, the living! We die trusting the living who follow to find meaning in our lives! That is the sole method in which we can rebel against this cruel world!" - Erwin Smith 🥇
"When I won, I'd be so happy that I'd want to shout with joy. When I lost, it was agonizing, like somebody had trampled my innards with muddy boots. I'd feel tormented from everyone saying that I didn't deserve to be alive. Yet... and yet, I couldn't quit. How can I... possibly express this feeling in words?!" - Shouichi Matsunaga 🥈
"There is definitely something out there. Something that makes people believe that they have to know their place in life. If there is anything that gives value to human life, it is the struggle with that something. In the battle with the Imaginator that does your thinking for you, "Versus Imaginator"... That's the starting line upon which all humans must stand. Basically, humans are all bound by the chains of common sense far more than we realize, and that makes us suffer. If we're being bound, we have to break free. That's what that means. This might sound harsh, but I think you're missing the concept of that struggle. You have to have that. You can die after you fight" - Kazuko Suema 🥉
"Maybe it's on your back. If a person is a rice ball and what's great about the person is a pickled plum, then maybe your plum is on your back! Maybe everyone in the world has plums on their backs of all different shapes, colors, and sizes. But since they can't see their backs, they can't see the plums they have. They think they don't have anything - that they're just plain white rice. Even though it's not true at all - even though they really do have a plum there. Maybe the reason we get jealous of others is because other people's backs are easy to see. I can see it. It's plain as day, Kyo-kun. You have a plum right there on your back." - Tooru Honda
"I don't care about your G cups. I'd rather squeeze the boobs of a girl I like!" - Naoya Mukai
"No one's allowed to take the events of youth away from young people." - Gojou Satoru
"What kind of woman is your type? Depending on your answer, I'll beat you half to death right here. By the way, my type is tall women with a big ass!" - Toudou, Aoi
"Finding more fallen-out hairs on your pillow, watching your favorite stuffed bread disappear from the convenience store... The accumulation of those little despairs is what makes a person an adult." - Kento Nanami
"You teachers... You graduate from school and then go work in schools, so you don't actually experience the real world, do you? That's how we end up with overgrown children like you, isn't it?" - Junpei Yoshino
"School is just a tiny aquarium. There's a whole ocean out there, and other aquariums, too. Pick the one you want." - Nagi Yoshino
"But he cried when he saw his brother die before him. I'm happy that you and I were spared and are still alive. It's a big relief. But tears were shed over the lives I ended tonight. That's all." - Itadori Yuuji
"I do feel as if I've wronged my brethren. But I cannot help that I love you. I will prioritize my own feelings over those of the dead." - Ram
"Let me die.
- I want to die, so I'm going home." - Yuu Ishigami
"I understand it in my head, but why can't I move? I say I have no reason to win, but why is it so painful when I lose?" - Rei Kiriyama
"We shall not shed tears... For tears mean the defeat of the body to the heart. And to us, that simply proves that the existence of a heart is a burden." - Rukia Kuchiki
"Every day, I try my best to stay quiet and not get in anyone's way, bother them, nor start up any unnecessary arguments... so why!? Why is it that I'm always denied of everything!?" - Punpun Onodera
"Of course, I still do admire those who are flowing with self-confidence, but personally, I can more easily trust a weak person who openly admits his or her flaws." - Shuntarou Harumi
"What do you think happens to people who can't accept themselves? They hate. They hate themselves and everything else." - Yuyu Shirai
"If you're always walking without seeing what's ahead, it makes sense that you feel like giving up sometimes. But if you get up and keep walking, you might get to see something like this at the end. That's why you should just walk and rest however you like." - Mami Koizumi
"Things we didn't understand as children become strangely clear as we age. What we should have done. What we should have said. We start to realize those things. What I feel may be closer to repentance than regret. Perhaps I want to let my ignorant younger self off the hook by repenting now. Perhaps that's why children say adults are high-handed." - Ayame Souma
"There are feelings that you don't understand until you get hurt and make trouble. There are feelings you start to understand only when you've hit the rock bottom. You rebel against what's pure. But when you're filthy, you start to long for what's pure. You need gentleness to feel pain. You need sunlight before you notice darkness. You can't underestimate either. And neither are a waste. So even if you screw up sometimes, it's not for nothing. As long as you make sure to think "I won't let this be for nothing", it's bound to become nourishment for you to grow in life." - Kyouko Honda
"I can't deal with fast-moving organisms with unpredictable navigation!" - Nagi Umino
"Actually, I've been thinking of quitting baseball for a while now. Nobody knows better than me that I lack the talent to play in the big leagues. Still, we played for the fun of it a long time ago. But before we knew it, it became about whether or now we had talent, or how it would get us into college, and that's all that started taking up our attention. But then, watching those monkeys playing, I couldn't sit still. I don't know how to say it, but it was kinda like... I felt like, "I wanna play baseball!". And once I realized it, here it was - the diamond was already in place. Strange, isn't it? I don't have the talent for baseball, but it's all I ever think about. " - Cap
"Stay up until you feel satisfied about your day. That's not a bad way to live." - Nazuna Nanakusa
"I'd probably never take that leap. I know I'll just go back to my old life and spend my days in boredom. But now I've seen it... the night... It's the first time I've wanted to be something. I don't want to dismiss this feeling! So please, let me fall in love with you!" - Kou Yamori
"A five-year-old and a dog have better social skills than me." - Hitori Gotou
"The thought of quitting my job fills me with a mysterious and overwhelming power!" - Hitori Gotou
"You thought everything you've done up to this point was due to your own free will? Have you ever done anything that you were completely sure was of your own free will? Adapting yourself to society is essentially being brainwashed to meet societal expectations. And you don't even know by whom. Now the problem is, within your psyche - which has no freedom - what do you value the most? What do you desire, while you are so tightly bound to this world?" - Boogiepop
"Love is so lame! The only choice for young people is to fearlessly masturbate to death!" - Ouran Nakagawa
"My ideal would be to live in a world with a radius of 85 cm, where I could reach everything. But that seems like it'd be hard to achieve, so I wish I could at least do all of my eating and sleeping in one space." - Tanaka
"I'm so glad I rubbed one out in the shower. If not for the post-nut clarity, who knows what I would've done?" - Kazuya Kinoshita
"When Arnheid drew her last breath, I couldn't answer her right away. I couldn't tell her why she had to live. What am I supposed to say to a soul that's been through hell and yearns for the peace of death? I want a world where I can tell people to live. One I can proudly describe to people whose only salvation is death. A place more appealing than death. That's all we ever wanted in this world we live in. I won't accept it. If a place like that doesn't exist... them I'll make one. " - Thorfinn
"Someone, please look at me. I've been crying that out for over 10 years now... Say that you need me. If someone simply told me that, oh how hard I would try. Say that you can make use of me... Then, I'd work like a pack horse. Praise me like, "You did your best"... Hearing that, I'd try much, much harder still... Somebody... Anybody... tell me it's okay for me to be here!" - Kana Arima
"It feels like the world that surrounds me is rotating... so incredibly fast. So to make sure the centrifugal force doesn't end up throwing me off... I cuddled up" - Ganta Nakami
"Because if I fall asleep, I know that tomorrow will come. And tomorrow is bound to be much worse than today. The anxiety of it is overwhelming me. And that's why I keep trying to live an extended "today" - Ganta Nakami
"We all have our roles to play in this world. It doesn't care... about things like love or passion. It beats you down with inescapable circumstances and your own powerlessness. All you can do is fall to your knees and try to do the best you can." - Mami Nanami
"It made me feel like there was something I could do that everyone else couldn't. I want something I love, something no one will outdo me in. Something I'm good at. I don't want to be embarrassed of myself" - Inori Yuitsuka
Thanks for more of your recommendation. I will check those out soon enough.
I personally think Boogiepop just suffer a bit from being pretty short even tho it's 18 eps. I also think that the ordering make a lot of sense as I figured out what kind of story it's trying to be but I just feel like some part of it is missing so it feels a bit more random than it actually is. But that's just hard part of adapting LN isn't it?
I finished Boogiepop recently. I really enjoyed it! The show is really engaging, character are really well done. I hope that show is just a bit longer and more well structured to just make the plot more memorable. The way story is ordered still feel just a bit random for me perhaps just something is missing to make it just more memorable. And visually, it's really good. I think I would really like it if it's more playful with its visual, but that's just me being sucker for anything visual cocain.
What do you think about my recommendation? Even if you don't like those. If you have more recommendations, then let me know.
Sure!. I think I have a few shows that you might enjoy as well. I had a hard time picking anime to my recipient as she and I had a very different list. She also had like 700 plan to watch so it was really hard T_T
You might enjoy Onii-chan wa Oshimai!. It's just a very wholesome slice of life CGDCT anime. One thing about Onimai is that it got quite a few questionable things goes on sometimes but I think you won't mind much. This one is pretty popular but I strongly recommend to check out is Devilman: Crybaby. And Mononoke is another one I would also recommend. Both of them are pretty Avant Garde in the ways it was directed and its story. I don't think I'll have to explain Devilman. It's very gory and graphic. It had a lot of great moments and when I watch Eva not long ago, it reminds me a lot of Devilman I think you will really like this. Mononoke which is very underrated anime imo. It has great mystery and its unsettling atmosphere is really added to this shows. I hope you can enjoyed my recommendations :)
Helloo, Thanks you very much for your gifts! I have heard of Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku somewhere but I would have never pick it up if you didn't recommended it to me. I really really liked it, it was everything I want from an anime about cute girls. And I didn't expected for it to look this beautiful! It was a great time watching ^w^
I've never heard of Boogiepop wa Warawanai before. I'm caught up with quite a few things rn so I haven't watch it yet but I'm quite excited to check it out. I will report you back when I finish the series. Have a great day :)
you're right on the comparison thing i shouldn't do that. like i dislike how crest when it first dropped was treated by old dg fans because they changed their sound or whatever. to this day it's still in my top 3.
yeh let's be real this guy ain't droppin shit in the next 5 years 💀 he seems comfortable doing collabs more than solo projects. and tbh I still dont know if he can produce another E that album is just different it's my favorite work from dg
Oh, I always thought it was meant for some sort of promotion as often reactors are doing reacts to Polish stuff just for views and I thought that he made the same stuff, which is why my response looked like this, nontheless my opinion on music stays the same but the correlation of reason why he has made it is different as I had no idea, thanks for letting me know.
Well I don't mind off-key stuff, aswell as I love key/major/minor stuff [I can't say the difference by hearing] but for key stuff it is mianly because I was taught in it not because of my own likings.
