| This is the type pf show i will use as an example of plot driven, cuz character wise is extremelly lacking, all feel like tools for kei execpt kei itself , and kei fell like a gary stu, oh come on, all the girls help him cuz they want to make him happy (aka being in love with him ) he is the most smartest guys, no one help him everything goes his way and he is always right cuz he remember things, remembering things doesnt make you smart, make you someone with good memory, thats all, but everybody in this show happen to look at him like some god... yeah gary stu 7/10 being nice.... plot was good, then slowly drop, last episode felt anticlimatic, if he choose haruki then kiss her at least Dont TELL ANOTHER GIRL IN FRONT OF YOUR GF "tskui da kirey" which is a japanese informal way to tell someone you LIKE HER, and that poor girl being told all the time i choose haruki but stay close .... lowkey asshole xD |
| This is probably one of the few shows I've seen where I was vastly more invested in the story than in the characters. Which is a testament to how little I care about the characters. Everyone outside of Kei, Souma and Haruki and maybe even Urachi are severely underdeveloped and underutilized. And I honestly couldn't care for them either. I'll admit the story is pretty good and overall I'd say this show is fine if you're willing to sit through monotone conversations for 24 episodes. |
| It was overall a really good story. I do feel as thought a lot of Kei's character was forced, or at least pushed in one of the most heavy-handed ways. I don't particularly care about him, but he and all the other characters played their parts well and it worked. The plot was really interesting. It'd be cool to get an OVA or Movie to see how things are going further down the line. I still think he should've picked Sumire though. |

| Not the most packed ending episode, but I like that it focused on those two and I'm very happy that Kei called her Souma Sumire, finally she realized she's the real one. The OST did its job again, making the scene a little bit sad. Having said said, I was hoping for a better ending since it was basically just about Misora and Souma and we only got some images showing what the other characters were doing. From all those, my favorite definitely is Urachi's reunion, it still feels weird seeing him on Kei's side. Who sacrificed after all, was it really a cat? I hope Seika was just sleeping. And then Souma, it was sad to see her alone. Even now I still prefer her over Misora. Overall definitely a great story and I loved these last 2 arcs, especially the last one, but it took some time to get here. At times it got confusing and I don't even know if it answered all my questions since I probably forgot some of them, but I still understood everything important so it was enjoyable. I'll probably miss this. |

| Not a bad ending.. I just hope the "pick me up" line from Sumire didn't mean "to lock me away" like the witch. Which I don't think because the after scenes of everyone, including her, were a while later and yet she was still free. If they intended on doing that to her then it would have been immediately, going by how strictly they were with the last poor girl/woman. (wasn't even allowed to meet people for some reason) Also.. did we get a low-key harem ending here or what? The girls fighting over who's #1 and who's #2 etc. I think we did which is what Sumire deserves after all she went through and did. 7/10 ep 8/10 ending 7.5/10 overall |
| I was hoping Souma was going to make Kei spend a "lifetime" with her in the dreamworld to fulfill her love before letting him go once and for all. That or she hooked up with Sakagami (power swap boy) since he seemed pretty into her. Overall, a good finale but the poor girl deserved some happiness. I wish we got to see Urachi's parents' reactions to the current world and Kei's solution (we didn't even get to see the mom's resurrection before the reset). Anyways, amazing show! I agree that it had a terribly slow start, but after that finale in ep 9 with bringing Souma back to life I was hooked. And everytime the puzzle pieces came togethe, *chef's kiss*. I binged the blu-rays but I can imagine the anticipation of weekly would've been hell, especially with my poor brains. The show was too damn smart, and I actually had to rewind several times an episode just to make sure I understood what was being said. And it got a little exhausting keeping up with all the seemingly minor details that weren't. But was it ever so worth it. Bravo, team! I'll probably change it to a 10 later, but for now 9 sacred brain drains /10 |
