| IT WAS A TRAP! I haven't really seen or heard of male 'mages' so when Souta actually wanted to be one, I'd never given thought of it as a hint or a wild guess to what will happen later. Like most have said, this episode was really a bit lighthearted. Also got mixed feelings for some character designs, but Snow White looked really nice especially her eyes. Looking forward to that scene though. Maybe this was all just the calm before the storm. 4/5 |

| Pretty weak start. The episode was very rushed , because I guess they want to get to the dark stuff asap. I really don't like the costumes either. It's one huge mess of completely different designs. The transformation sequence was very weak as well. Maybe it gets better next episode, but I'm not holding my breath. |

| Can't wait for the second episode. If you are slightly familiar with the manga, you will know that shit becomes real pretty soon <3 However, the first one was kinda slow paced, but still introduced some girls quite well. And yeah, the character design is freaking fantastic. Ripple stole my heart in an instant. |
| Eh, it's a serviceable introductory episode I guess, not bad but not impressive either. Hopefully it'll become more entertaining from here on. |
| Never watched Madoka, so apart from Mahou Shoujo of The End, this will probably be my second dive into the world of dark Magi-Girls. 15 girls go in, and only 8 get to stay, eh? Sounds like Fate/Apocrypha there. I'm game. Let the killing selections begin! Looking forward to seeing who teams up with who in this killing game. Also I think that mascot is shady. Why make 15 Magi-Girls if you're going to cut down half of them in a month? That Monokuma wannabe definitelt planned this out. And seriously this season's OPs and EDs are so damn good! |

| I'm worried for La Pucelle because she's the main character's friend from her childhood which means she's already got a death flag. I love all the character designs tho, there is a real variety and I'm happy with the slow start as it gives a stronger build up in my opinion. |

| I'm quite hyped for this, especially because of Megumi Ogata (I kinda want her character to be like Nagito just like her chara in Regalia is), I sometimes forget she can voice female characters haha I love her soooo much Right before the episode played I was like "what if there isnt enough blood and all"? Then first second of the anime with all those bodies and blood and despair and i got relieved haha Can't wait for next week! |
| The beginning of this episode seemed pretty dark but the rest of was pretty happy making me wonder where this is really going. The mascot character being black and white also seems to suggest something is going to happen later on. Which makes me look forward to what this anime will really be like. |

| well, for the 1st episode it is not good enough.... but i will give it a try the trap has bigger boob than the MC, MC didn't mind cause he's a childhood friend... but seriously why he really like magical girl... lol Also OP ED kinda cool to... like it |

| For the most part, a cute episode. Pretty fun, typical magical girl setup. I'm definitely getting some Kyuubey vibes from Pon, and with it setting up to have more dark parts, I hope it doesn't turn out to be like a madoka magica rip-off. That being said, madoka magica is the only magical girl anime I've seen before this one so maybe it can't be helped that magical girl anime will all be similar? OP and ED are good. Song-wise, very much so. The visuals are nothing special though. It's always nice to hear nano. But yes,I'll definitely be continuing to see where this goes. Oh and it really is surprising that guys can be magical girls. They even gave him oppai >o< I think it's a pretty fine twist though. I've never been against the trap trope lol. |
| Only wtf moment is that one mahou shoujo is a man, what the fuck. Even by japanese standards I find that to be quite off putting. Character designs are nice, but the whole premise is a bit far fetched... a cellphone program that grants super powers? A strange being that randomly decides that the amount of girls needs to be halved? Sounds too much like shitrai nikki. |

| The opening scene was nice, but the rest really did seem a bit too light-hearted and sparkly - honestly, I think that there should've been quite a different atmosphere. The info-dump also seems a bit much, they could've just gradually explained most of those district/team/pair things when the time arose - I think that it'd have been better if they introduced the "Halving" somewhere in the middle or near the end of first episode, just to properly set everything into place. |

| This first episode was decent, already seeing many Madoka Magica comparison and I hope they're not right or I'll end up dropping this as well. Don't have high expectations for this anyway, I'm not a fan of Magical Girls just giving this a chance because of the studio animating it also animated Assassination Classroom and Danganronpa. Following the 3 episode rule before deciding if this will be dropped or not. |

| Nice setup episode. Premise is interesting, but it will boil down to execution. I'm expecting at least a good number of good action and fight scenes. Bonus points for a well developed and coherent story. Favourite character so far = La Pucelle And the ED is really good... |

| Not really my genre of choice but I figured if it was on my FAL team I ought to at least try watching it. Pleasantly surprised. Starts with a bloody scene and ends with some gender bending. I might enjoy this more than I thought I would ;D |
| So far, so good. I was expecting a 'calm before the storm' approach for the first couple of episodes and it looks to be like that so far. What I wasn't expecting though, was Koyuki's childhood friend, Souta, being a magical girl as well. It made me curious about when he told Koyuki that when he becomes a magical girl, he's completely female.....assuming that he's checked his privates before confirming that. =/ For the production values, Lerche is doing a really good job again, with the animation being smooth and the art is visually nice. The OP song is good and will grow on me, but the ED sounds really epic. I want to hear the full version of it ASAP! =D A good start overall and when the show gets to the gritty and dark stuff eventually, I'm hoping the show keeps the good start going all the way to the end. =) |

| That was a great first episode! I already care about the characters, and things seem fun. Lerche is doing a solid job with this one as well. (as I'd expect, I guess :p) Art was lovely, pretty backgrounds, wonderful character designs. Knowing where things are gonna end up from that clip at the beginning also helps in making this stand out quite a bit. Overall, I look forward to episode 2 next week. I'll be recommending this one to my friends. |

| I fucking CALLED IT! I knew Sou was the magical girl he started talking with Koyuki on the roof! I already love this show for doing something different. Seriously, I have to applaud what they did with Sou and having actually get to become a magical girl like he wanted. I came for the dark magical girl slaughter fest and I got something else on top. |

| Really looking forward to how this anime will turn out. The visuals remind me a bit of Day Break Illusion, so I'm already liking the quality production. I already know I'm going to enjoy this anime, I'm such a stickler for Magical Girls. I was getting a bit tired of Precure's cleanliness and goodie goodie nature (even if it is meant for kids), so I've been wanting a dark magical girl series ever since Yuki Yuna is a Hero! Will definitely watch this anime from start to end. |

It still took Madoka Magica three episodes before Madoka learned the hard truth, and things really did decide to take a turn for the worse. I say give it time, the anime might surprise you. |

| Episode starts. Blood. Death. Everywhere. Not trying to be subtle about it or anything at all, just throwing us right in, no secrets to be had. And then some girl stares all cute at the screen. Can't wait to see how many of them die. Also got our first transformation half way in, so that's cool, plus they give little bits of information on their abilities, and the few funny moments sprinkled in were nice. The girls all seem pretty cute, the visuals and animation are good, and the story seems interesting as well as the characters. I look forward to seeing what this anime has in store. Also, outro was fantastic. |

| I think it's interesting. Quite the unusual magical girls: a witch, a ninja and one is even a knight and a boy. Decrease the number of magical girls? So we can expect Battle Royale meets Madoka Magica or something along these lines. Hopefully it turns out to be better than Madoka Magica. |

| Not a bad first episode, I’d say. It was your standard introductory episode of some of the magical girls (and boys) before the absurd alliances and betrays beginning in order to survive.... I can’t lie, I feel really bad for our pure-hearted MC already; no child dreaming to become a true magical girl should be subject to such (upcoming) inhuman spectacle. By the way, wasn’t the last person (magical girl) standing and fighting that dark creature at the very beginning this so called Mori no Ongakuka Clam Berry ("The Forest Musician") character?.... I mean, it looked just like her design wise (roses in the head, color of hair, clothing design, etc). Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if showing that part at the very beginning was a good idea at all. It takes out some of the suspense of what’s to come. |
