| Vert intense episode. I was taken by surprise with the rap music video at first, but it didn't take long for me to start laughing. XD Subaru is one nasty work honestly. His copycat skills is formidable, but his attitude and lack of respect for his opponents is almost non-existent. Seeing Takumi lose here makes me feel more angry at Subaru as well. Takumi's last second alteration for his dish was really well done, and if not against Subaru, it could've gotten him a place in the semi finals. Souma's declaration that he'll give up being a chef if he loses to Subaru is VERY brave, and I'm glad J.C Staff did an excellent job in recreating the scene's detail and intensity from the manga. =) Looking forward to their match already! =D |
| That was just so infuriating. Huge dude sure must be skilled to copy his dish and analyze everything like that but in the end, he's just copying him. Could he even win with his own dish? >< Really hope Souma will completely crush him |

| Well that was kinda predictable but I still really wanted Takumi to win it. I like how this anime gets the tension up really high in such simple ways, Soma vs the ugly stalker guy is gonna be awesome. |

| I'm actually a little surprised Takumi lost, but I hope this is a chance for him to grow. I'm wondering when Soma will experience losing such that it will help him grow, maybe after this round of competition (when he competes with the elite 10? if that will ever happen..). That challenge by Soma though. That confidence is so him lol. I hope when he wins it'll be by a huge gap and not by some small gap, that way it'll be a more satisfying win lol (I'm assuming he's gonna win because so far that seems to be the case...)  These 2's facial expressions are hilarious!  So far I am pleased with the pacing of the episodes, much better than in S1. |

| Alright.. I did not expect Takumi would lose expecially after he revealed he added a 4th layer to his food. I thought he made a comeback but well Mimasaka proved he's not the king of stalkers for nothing.. even had an extra key to Soma's room lol wtf dude? But I'm pretty sure Soma would win. Because the day he stops being a chef is the day Gordon Ramsay stops cursing. Also he's gonna beat Hayama next because someone has to show space dandy who's boss. |

| Poor Aldini, I like him and I find very unpleasant the way he lost. Souma being badass in the end, I can't wait for their match! (he looked so hot in this episode tho) Also will the pink haired chef be back? I see him in the op and I wonder I he and Souma will have something. |

| I agree with the judge he is despicable. I even expected that judge to not vote for him due to spite for his actions but I guess he won't have that position if he were to be bias. He is skilled but his attitude don't earn my respect for him. But I like this episode. I feel sorry for Takumi, but I think he'll be back. This might be a bad move though. Takumi is settled as an equal to Soma. But since Souma is betting his career, he can't possibly lose or there would be no story. So Souma either have to win or draw it out with Subaru, which regardless means he is better than Takumi since he lost. So instead of a anticipated battle between Takumi and Souma, we have him sidelined. Though this can be countered by Souma knowing what Subaru will do where as Takumi didn't hence why Souma might win. But that implies Takumi would win if he knew. An alternative and a more definite response is to confirm that Takumi is worse than Souma at this point but he catches back up, by defeating Subaru in a re-match. Then we can have an eventual face off with Souma and Takumi :D But I thought Takumi looked pretty cool at the start. |

| Damn I actually expected Souma to decline the Shokugeki but this is even better. It's obvious we won't see him quit (he is the main character after all) but I can't decide if that is good or bad yet. |

| Ok, definitely better than the last episode but only because of aftercredits scene - Souma is risking a lot by proposing that and I really hope he has some secret in store, perhaps something dealing with Mayumi squid tasting back in his hometown? (or else would she be in the preview screen?) Finally this is at least closing to what Shokugeki should be like - where they are playing with high stakes. Still, I wouldn't call this cooking battle a great, it was actually pretty average on par with all that we know. Perhaps Takumi can't do any better? But it was more than clear that his loss was just plot-device for more equal fight with Souma. Well, and I was happy they don't forget Welcome to the Gourmet Food World! OST song but then it turned into disappointment when I realized they totally misplaced it and were talking through whole length of it without any orgasmic animation.. nope, JCS, just the music is not enough sometimes. Also, am I the only one who finds sad they toned down the fanservice? It was something that went hand in hand with foodgasms and it was trademark of this show.. so far we are only watching gibberish of old men and naked body of the director, don't they have some woman somewhere? So yeah, giving is pluses and minuses, another just barely above average episode (and only thanks to the end). |

| OH MY OH MY IT'S A SHOKUGEKI. THE HYPE IS REAL. And oooohhhhh was that intense, and the pacing was just right in my opinion, they managed to get in all their explanations and everything without making it feel rushed like previous episodes. Was really wandering what Aldini was gonna do to try to pull a win in that situation. The intensity immediately died with that werid song during the testing, but then came back when Aldini entered his dish. An excellent episode. This is why I love this dang show. BEST PART WAS THE END TOO ME because before I got to the after-credits part, I went talking to my sister about the episode and made a prediction as too who was going to be paired up together, and when I came back, I FOUND OUT I WAS ON POINT. |

| This episode was fantastic. I've been excited to see Mimasaka make his appearance in the anime and his match with Takumi was crazy good. Mimasaka is such a dirty chef but he's really skillful. The scene at the end was so damn awesome though. Souma is such a badass. He wants all of the 99 tools that Mimasaka has if he wins but if he loses he'll quit being a chef. Prepare your anus, Mimasaka. Btw, that rap thing with the small old man was freaking hilarious lmao. |

| The premise for the next battle is so fucking stupid IMHO... Whether you have or have not read the manga....does anyone REALLY think that Soma (The main fucking character) is gonna lose to this random dude that was recently introduced and quit being a chef? REALLY?!!? Wouldn't it be better to just have him face Aldini? Win or lose, at least that would be interesting. This is NOT interesting because they put the stakes SOOO high that you already know that Soma is going to win because the opposite would simply be unacceptable. This is the ultimate flaw with ALL shounen battle anime.....there is no real tension when you already know what is going to happen. |
| Cooking so powerful it turns an old man into a rapping school girl. Regardless, that Mimasaka is a scumbag. Glad Soma told him off. Super intense episode though, I usually am not a fan Takumi, but he really grew on me this episode. He's a character that hasn't been utilized to his full potential in my opinion. So this was most welcomed, despite him losing in such a cheap way. |

Yep. If you read the manga you already know who wins and more story. But you can also know if you see the opening slowly and pay attention. |
