I'm not such what would have do author's education. It's like he's the only with a blunt manner of speech, Felt and Rom talk that too.

I seriously don't understand why so many people are bitching about Subaru's actions. After the third loop his first priority was finding Satella so that he could fix the upcoming situation, but that ended up with him ignoring the goons and getting kekked. Just because he waited until the fourth loop to explicitly say what was going on doesn't mean he's retarded. During the second loop he made great use of the information that he got from the first one. Okabe Rintaro sat there and did the exact same thing in his second loop as he did in the first one, passing it off as a dream despite the fact he EXPLICITLY WENT BACK IN TIME. Okabe must be a super retard by that logic.

Speaking of Steins gate, I'm wondering if there are any "convergence points" in this anime. It seems that between in the third and fourth loop he ran down different alleys yet he still ran into the goons.

Thank you!

The worst part that some people are still complaining about that long past the point it's not even remotely relevant. He got his barrings is now taking advantage of his knowledge.

Tense episode, really enjoying this show. ED was better than the OP, just hope White Fox have learnt from the train wreck that was Akame Ga Kill.

Sigh I'm tried of this meaningless discussion that literally has no effect on the story. Point of matter his time travel ability makes no sense, where did get and why does have it? It's not like he's died before woke up all his life. So of course he's goddamn confused at what's happening in beginning. He comes to grips soon enough gets use to his situation and starts doing something about it and the plot moves on. It's not like he took years to figure it. If you can get used to dying that get for you and act like know it all and never doubt yourself great, but not everyone will accept such a thing.

So complaining about it beyond when we have moved pasted the setup and on to main goal. Otherwise it's just finishing complaints at this point. There way interesting things to discuss in 2nd episode now we are near the climax.

Why would you even start a discussion then? You're the one who's bothered about my opinion, not the other way around.

The only thing I did was state what I think. If you want to start a discussion with an open mind, no problem. As long as we're having a constructive discussion, it's all cool.

But whether I agree with you at the end is none of your concern. Just like it's none of my business if you have a different opinion (and honestly, I couldn't care less). I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, I'm just speaking my mind.

Really like both the OP and ED. Good to see that he is now aware of his situation, so interesting to see how he will use the knowledge of what happened before he died the next time. The scene where he ran into Elsa really was a tense one, she is creepy, yet sexy at the same time.
This is and will be a great show, can't wait for next episode.

There are people just like in any show but I guess they give a 2 cour show a little bit more time to breath before writing it off as such :o

I liked the first ep(a+b), but this ep is essentially the MC being clueless at the start, then the MC being helpless towards the end. It's nice to see his fear and trauma and all that crap, but clueless + helpless in one ep is really horrible to view, imo.

The transition from 'Satella' showing up and the ED was just amazing. It's still funny how a lot of people judged the show after Episode 1-A for beeing a KonoSuba clone. *laughs*

DAMN! the OP and the ED song makes a really great atmosphere for this show. i like it a lot, especially the ed. the singer is the one who sing Bubuki Buranki's ED song. no wonder i like it.

Overall, great episode. really interesting imo. he was actually time leap again in the beginning LOL XD but that ending really scared the hell out of me. thank god it was her. i'm curious at how did she know about the place. she went alone ? seriously can't wait for the next episode.
First episode was telling on Satella's side, this episode was telling on Felt's side and they met each other, all of them. nice set up right there :D

man, just please don't repeat it again....

People need to calm down with how nonsensical the MC didn't realized he was in time leap.

No normal people with no powers will directly believed you can time leap. The MC is sane enough to realize that it'd have been a bad dream or something, because time leap doesn't exist in real world.

I think that's quite realistic. I mean, he is in an unknown world and died few times. Not much he can do against Elsa too. Could be just me though.

I don't think her point is about how realistic the series is. It's about the fact that the protagonist's being clueless and helpless isn't particularly engaging.

I think the fact that it doesn't seem he'll become a sharp protagonist anytime soon is probably bugging people as well. But then again, someone's already said the protagonist will soon enough deal with things more intelligently, so I'm looking forward to that. I think this series has a lot of potential.

Well you have to take into consideration that this is not even the entire first arc which is really short. The current story is over 500 chapters long which equals around 30 volumes. If the MC wouldn't be helpless and somewhat clueless at first there would be no progression :)

But I get what you mean :o

Nah, I know that it'll probably get better as we go through more episodes. I'm just saying that episode 2 isn't all that fun to watch. Slow starts are inevitable, but I can still complain about them. :P

This is Steins;Gate 2.0 imo. Been waiting for a show like this for soooo long cause I love time travel stories. This episode was so good the tension in that scene when Subaru bumped into Elsa and she could smell his fear. I had a feeling it would be Satella (or whatever her real name is) at the end. Animation and music was on point. Love the OP and ED. That's got to be my favourite ED of this season it doesn't even need any visuals it still gets me hyped. Been a long time since I fanboyed so hard about a show. I think the last time was with BS S2.

The main character being pretentious cool but the fears are bigger than his words. Looks like a loser.

Had repeated many times of his life but instead make many mistakes. Though he could take all the pieces of the incidence and combine. He actually even made a new story every life recur.

Stupidity is very clearly visible.

Just to remind you that this is the same guy who was transported to a world and one second later easily swallowed that pill. Then I believe in the same monologue he was having that he was wondering what type of power he had. So I can see the frustration behind it. Again, that's exactly what I would think (if I was thrown into this situation especially being transported to a fantasy world) with all my anime/game/manga experience I have had. He self-admittedly said he's a shut-in that play games a lot and makes indirect references to anime and manga character tropes (like having powers, using magic to save people, fantasy realm references, etc). I am not stating that either the people complaining or the people defending it are right, but the frustration is understandable just based on the facts and behaviors we know about the MC from episode.

Subaru was not expecting "Satela" to appear that early at the loot house. It makes sense since she didn't lost time helping him early so she could get there early, but the strange part is that she didn't do that in his second revival. Maybe Reinhard found "Satela" and told her to not go to the loot house and she did the contrary.

I think Reinhard will appear and help them against Elsa. He seems strong enough to deal with her, it would be cool if that happens.

Why do you think Subaru was helpless? I think he did well enough. He went directly after Felt so he could speed things up with her then he tried to convince her to trade with him, but i a guess he was not counting with Felt being so greedy and hard to convince.

He knows Elsa will kill all of then after she gets there and this is something he can't do anything about other than running away before she gets there.

Good episode, building the characters well and really expressing how tough and strange it is to talk to people that you met in a different timeline when they actually don't know you yet in the current timeline.

Yep they nailed the confrontation with Elsa, I was getting chills during their talk ohhhh Subaru don't guard your stomach, if you do that you'll be reeeeaaaaallllyyyy conspicuous

I was stupid and didn't even think about the pacing and understanding that with how we're progressing in the 25 ep time slot we'll probably have seen at least 2 arcs and either finished or be in the middle of the 3rd arc. I hope this is correct because the manga is still in 2nd arc and any chance of seeing the 3rd arc of the novel translated was destroyed by YenPress xD

The MC has more misunderstandings than a harem protagonist.

The opening scene and OP explains a lot of what mechanically is happening. There are multiple Subarus in this world. Each time Subaru dies, he is replanted back to where he first appeared in this world, and a new Subaru timeline begins that lays on top of the others. Felt and other guy were killed because of Subraru's interference in timeline2; Silver elf girl told him her name was "Stella" in timeline1 because Subaru mistakenly called her that just minutes before in timeline3.

hmm but it looks like this timeline is a little different than the last 3. Silver elf girl made it to the loot house before Elsa.

If the event of her saving him in timeline 1 doesn't happen because of her being angry at him in timeline 2 then the later events of timeline 1 will be different. Therefore he might not have died at the same place and time in timeline 1. If this continues at some point there will be a paradox where timeline x+1 influence prevents timeline x from dying, therefore timeline x+1 should not exist. Instead there will be an "alternate" timeline x+1 in where the original timeline x died at a later time. If time is infinite, then statistically this paradox will happen a great many times, therefore they would be a great many MC's existing at the same time. Doesn't make sense. Unless at some point he loses that power and has a finite death, a logical conclusion.

What a fail of the OP, its animation was pretty horrible. And nonexistent ED too. Low budget perhaps?

Other than that it was good episode, at least proved they can utilize time leap element pretty well. I also liked the scene where MC reunited with Elsa and the ending climax also wasn't half bad. Wonder how they will do next time, it would be great if they had one longer part without death, only to show the great loss of everying he worked towards.

But this was certainly WTF dialogue as MC clearly didn't saved his daughter this time.

(or was he implying he saved her offscreen? cause that would be pretty lame execution -edit: and it seems poster before me was faster.. still, that only proves a] really bad failure of script supervisor (more probable) or b] something fishy is going on)

As the others above me have said and/or quoted, the merchant guy was saying that some other broke person helped his daughter (and we could thus infer) that Satella (who mentions that she is broke in the first episode) still ended up helping his daughter even without Subaru there.
