I thought Unravel was fantastic. The purpose, and I'm guessing for the op of season 2 was meant to be symbolic. While some may get it, others may not. See with a series like TG it's fast pace and the general audience would love the op to have a rather fast and memorable song. In this while it may be showing Kaneki, the direction of the music was rather slow. Not to say that it was any bad since Osterich did an incredible job. Up to this day I still listen to Unravel.. It's got that mysterious vibe every single time I listen to it. Well that's all from me.. ;)

Because it include Kaneki only.
There is a lot of interesting characters in tg.
I know that Kaneki is main character, but it is terrible.
If opening have more characters, it not to be that piece of shit.
And yes, it's boring.

It looks like kaneki-ken is on the receiving end of some pretty great head. So what's not to like?? Dude deserves it after that horrific shit he just went through. 😂😂 I think that's what the artist is trying to convey. What yall think about that??

I personally agree with everyone else that it is far worse than (Unravel). Personally, I think the ED to season two (Kisetsu Wa Tsugitsugi Shinde Iku) should have been the OP; and the OP should've been the ED. With a series like Tokyo Ghoul, you need an OP that'll get you pumped, maybe a bit melancholic, but not complete dull and boring like (Munou).

Unravel was the best opening and this one is good too,I just think it's too gentle and slow for an anime as fast paced and full of action as Tokyo Ghoul

Ok let's be real... EVERYONE loves the 1rst op even if they didn't watch the anime. It has a nice feel to it and it engages the viewers. I believe the 2nd op was really good but the rythm wasn't good enough. The lirics fit really well with season two but it wasn't engaging enough like the first op.

I Love This Intro At The It Looks Crap But It Does Grow On You

I Think This Intro Does Fit The Second Season Since As We Can See Kaneki Is Quite Sad Through It And It Makes The Watcher Seem Quite Uneasy and etc

It Is In My Opinion More Mature Then Unravel But Unravel Was Very Out There And Quite Good In My Opinion

The Music Is Very beautiful and the singer has a lovely voice i think its meant to sound off and etc to fit with the show

we cant have unravel intro for the 2nd season can we since it would not fit with the show

Personally I enjoyed season 2 I know alot of it wasn't properly done ("true to the manga") if you've ever seen me post on other things about non-canon or fillers my answer is always the same that I think of it being in a alternate universe be it manga to anime or filler I personally find it more enjoyable that way.

Only thing I guess I could technically not like but it's not even that, it's more that I don't know why but I think between season 1 season 2 (and the upcoming RE/3) they've changed the animation style but it's all done by the same company/animators I could be wrong it has been awhile.

All the Anime's on my list are all one's I own Personal physical copies of, or have seen in theaters that I plan on buying, series that I've watched on FUNimation or HIDIVE will not be on here unless/until I have already bought it.

Probably because of Unravel.
IMO This opening is WAY more meaningful than Unravel and has visuals that are almost identical to Sui Ishida's work. The opening just fits more to Tokyo Ghoul than Unravel does. For me, Unravel made Tokyo Ghoul seem much more like an action/shonen series, but after reading the manga, Munou just fits more because of the sad sounding vocals and confusing melody.

Root A was trash though, but the opening was good IMO

Is the second season opening bad? No, I think it is still a nice opening. It's not super deep but it is still beautiful and has a nice song to it. When you compare it to season one, well there really is no comparison. Speaking of which, I'm gonna go watching season 1 opening!

I don't hate it but IMO the 2nd opening is less powerful than Unravel. There are so many characters in TG. In the 2nd opening you can see Kaneki and Rize's hands... It's kinda boring y'know

At least the opening was just as bad as the entire second season, so they made perfect match.
