| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Off to a decent start. I haven't seen a baseball anime in awhile so this was refreshing to me. I liked most of the cast so far including Sawamura who seems to have a bright personality. | Hm, I did like this episode and I can say it provided me with a lot of enjoyment, It got a bit repetitive with the whole serious turned funny cliche's but other then that there isn't many problems, for some reason I'm getting a good Great Teacher Onizuka vibe from this anime, eh. 7/10 with an extra note that I don't get the rules of baseball |
| That was a good first episode, I'm liking the MC already, it's good to see a player that values his teammates over skill and talent. I get the feeling that Azuma guy will later open up to Sawamura, just have to see how this stand off will go first. But this was pretty good, and the animation and OP were great as well. |

| First things first, I'm not even a sporting fan but I still watched this simulcasted .. I love the art style, its different to what I'm used to seeing ... and then there's the MC who sticks up for his team no matter where he is or who he is talking to, which is a great trait to have as a captain That cliffhanger though ... |
| The main guy reminds of me Eren, except he's much funnier and spunky. LOL Dammit, cliffhanger! I'm really tempted to read the manga to see how things turn out. :| Instead of waiting a whole week. Anyway, I'm liking this. Baseball is always fun to watch. I like the female Scout, as well as Miyuki. Eren--I mean Eijun is also pretty cool so far. I'm curious to see how he pitches. |
| I'm not a sports fan or sports anime fan but for some reason I tried this episode and actually quite liked it! Seems like an interesting premise so I will give this one at least a few episodes and if it keeps this up I will likely stick with it. |
| The artstyle is definitely really nice, it's refreshing even though it's kind of an older artstyle, reminds me of Rainbow. It fits really well with the sports genre. Eijun seems like one of your typical hotheaded kid you see in shounen manga, and he's the type of character I like :D I especially love how he immediately talked about how much he appreciates his team, and even tried to lecture that batter about baseball being a teamsport. I've only watched about two sports anime, but now I realize how much I love sports anime. Loved the OP, great job Production IG and Madhouse! |
| My first baseball anime was Major and I thought it was amazing. I really hope ace of diamond is as good. Pretty good first episode I can't wait to see their stand off next episode and what kind of pitches he does. Hopefully awesome ones like Goro did in MAjor. |

| Love at first sight. LOVED this episode so much. The main character's exactly the kind of anime guy I like. Many funny moments. I hope that remains the same for the rest of the episodes. |

| This is actually pretty good so far, I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this one. The character's art style is not looking pretty solid as well. I like the main character's attitude, can't wait to see how good him and the rest of the Tokyo team really is. |

| I shouldn't have watched this after KnB, I find it simply... boring and MC too typical, wasn't even funny (to me) I'll give it one or two more episodes to see if it can entertains me at least a bit, but if not...bye bye |

| Tbh, I was expecting a "bit" more in terms of animation from Madhouse and Production I.G. (especially when it's the first episode) And this school feels a bit like Kaido (which I didn't really like) in Major , well, the cast would make up for that! I totally love Ryota Ohsaka as the main! :D I'm glad I marathoned Major in the summer, now I'm ready to watch any baseball anime! |

| I'm loving those vivid, bright colors, and protag is adorable. It's somewhat refreshing to see that he cares so much about his teammates. Ahhh looking forward to what this season brings, baseball idiots ftw! |

| I personally love sports anime. Prince of Tennis and Kuroko no Basket have been my favourites so far ^^ although I know there are tons more :) This episode was decent, I liked the OP and Eijun's spirit. Can't wait to see how the anime unfolds ^^ ~it looks like a fun anime :"D |

| I was hoping for more of a Big Wind-up or Cross Game feeling to the series. Guess not. But a shounen sports once in a while isn't too bad I suppose. Unfortunately, I doubt it will have the action that Kuroko will provide me this season. So far it's off to a decent start. I can't say that I love it, but I do like that the main character values his teammates. The random dramatization of his lines make me laugh and facepalm at the same time. The series reminds me of Major. |

| My first baseball anime. Never had an excuse to go out of my way and watch one since I'm not into sport anime much. This wasn't bad. It just dove straight into all things baseball related though. |

| So many people here saying this is their first baseball anime. Judging only from the first episode, it probably wasn't the best choice. In term of general tone, it is close to Major, but didn't have the same energy. It's not a bad episode, far from that, but it's not on par with the start of my favourites baseball anime. But the manga got a lot of praise, so I hope it will pick up soon. |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |
| i dont know.. it was nice but yeah as some said a bit boring? i wish they could have showed at least one or two pitches. miyuki was a fun character, though. i guess sawamura will ditch his old team mates and switch to seidou for whatever reasons there will be D: such a pity, but the girl classmate will remain? anyway i ll keep an eye on this show~ |

| The baseball spirit is strong with this one :). A lot of sports shows this season there's even a bicycle anime, it was a good start i love the main character the animation is good even if we didn't see any baseball matches i expect nothing less from I.G and madhouse. I hate how people compere it to other baseball anime just from the first episode i see a lot of people saying that this show isn't as good as that other baseball show just by seeing one episode that's not fair for the show, a lot of people see Ace of Diamond as a new Major not as a new baseball show the people who see it like that will feel disappointed if the show is not good as Major or any other classic baseball show. |
| Yeeeess finalllyyy~ I'm so happy that it got a anime, i had readed the manga a bit (but i dont know at which chap i left of anymore, so i'll just start reading it from the beginning again xD) I'm sure that it will have a different feeling to it than Major and Big windup. Nevertheless, its the anime that im the most happy about this season and Eijuns VA fits good, as energetic like he is. |
| Pretty good. Some funny parts esp Eijun's family and the meeting when they started doubting her saying she's talking BS XD And when he was laughing at Azuma hahaha. Has potential. And the ep ended with a pretty cruel cliffy esp with the monologue he had there hehe. Eijun is pretty cool and funny so I'm looking forward to see what he does nxt. Seeing how nxt ep is called partner...:D |

| Awesome. This is the kind of Spokon that I love. The MC is hilarious and has so much potential. The concept might be not original but always of great impact. Nice OP and OST. I'm expecting great things from this. Also, Madhouse x I.G Production. I think it's guaranteed. |

| Watched this today after KnB and I have to say, better than KnB with regards to the first episode of either anime. Or do you find the art in those two disappointing as well? |
