Oh so I see Kiri vs. that loli again with the knives, aka Emily. That fantasy like atmosphere also kinda fits with this part. I expected this and I kinda actually liked the OST to go along with it. Dat eyes:

Poor Kiri ;.; seems like he's not only getting hurt physically but mentally as well. Damn.

What a dangerous loli. I can tell why she's an author now. Oh wait, I see a dangerous Kiri-kun as well. They actually adapted this part from the manga with the scissors in his mouth. Niceeee. This episode was better than I expected imo. :3 Shit got real!

After Mushibugyou we have another MC going through the same thing LOL
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Berserk week ? Anyway , I'll have to wait for the subs release.

Sometimes this show kicks ass so hard. It would've been so much better without all that creepiness , anyway great OST this ep , berserk mode ftw.

That was a good episode. Kiri-kun got worked a bit in the first half, but he met Grayland in his pain induced dream and learned he did exist, big time.

Well, Kiri is seriously badass in his Grayland possessed mode, not to mention creepy looking. Poor little loli girl learned the hard way what fear is, not to mention getting cut the hell up.

Looking forward to next week.

His ability is insane, does it basically make whoever gets cut by him feel pain way more than he inflicted??? Like when she imagined her arm got cut off?

That seems to be the case, and if he gets the same enjoyment out of hurting others as the original did, that makes the whole situation that much deadlier. That being said Kiri lost it ,and finally met the original along with the awakening of his true ability now to see how he deals with the issues the other authors having been dealing with all along.

Well. That took a turn. Yeah, the series was already dark and all, but really, this just pushes it even further. Like I said, I'd only read up to what cuts off at about halfway through the episode in the manga, so I didn't know what was going to happen next. Holy crap this got really, really unsettling. And having read chapter 23... the next episode is just going to be worse. Also, this is probably being set up for a second season. Which I would be interested in watching, but which may never happen.

At least we had this to keep things light

I agree, it did look like corpses. Maybe he started by cutting up dead bodies and progressed to living people.

Emily you didn't believe that grayland exists but what about now.
It's looks painful to watch and horrible ability that you can feel so much pain.

Indeed torturing is the worst.

OMG, I want to kill Kiri right now for hurting a little girl. He was annoynig before but now I officially hate him. I know Emily is twisted but she wants warmth. That's why she is behaving like this. Anyways, A pretty epic episode.

I really liked this episode.

I'm going to be honest here, I thought it was extremely satisfying to see Kiri totally own her, cutting her up and seeing her panic after she acted so high and mighty and saying Grayland never existed. I couldn't think anything else but she got what was coming to her. I had a feeling Kiri would awaken, and I laughed at the fact that she let her guard down. It just goes to show how arrogant and overconfident she was.

Except that little girl is a professional assassin, has no qualms with killing people and is out to butcher the girl Kiri loves. Kiri did what he had to do. She's a cold blooded killer with a selfish desire, as most authors. Wanting warmth doesn't justify killing, neither does blaming Iwai for what happened to their father. And in Kiri's defense, he had lost it and wasn't in control of himself.

I wouldn't say it's redeemed itself completely because the ratio of boring/stupid/laughable to awesome parts in this show is like 10:1, but yeah, this was certainly a very entertaining episode. Predictable, but much, much better than the previous episodes. Actually, I find this episode much better than the rest of this anime.

Hopefully next week we can have the same amount of awesomeness?

If Crime Edge ever gets a second season, it'll be nicer if they stuck to the mystery aspect of it and a little less on the romance. I mean, the romance is nice and all, and it's not like there's an abundance of romance here but I feel like they focus on it more than they should (like the licking scene, which I found really awkward to watch).

That's the confusing part as well. I clearly saw blood splattering as if the victim was still alive. However, there is no struggle or whatsoever.

Also, I'm exactly sure what's the point of cutting a corpse. If the victim is not alive/conscious and Grayland doesn't see the pain and suffering of the victim, there is no point in his act.

I felt disgusted seeing Emily in pain like this. Kiri's beast mode is pretty weird, he isn't even imitating Grayland this way, they probably wanted to make him look as insane and dangerous as possible, but walking on all fours with crime edge in his mouth? I don't know, it just looked silly to me. Pretty good action and OST, though.

I interpreted it as not a vision of an actual past event but a dream vision forced on him by a not to rational spirit, and the content of it was a mix of what the spirit wanted and what Kiri was willing to accept (ie, the spirit wanted to bring out the blood lust in Kiri but Kiri doesn't really want to kill anybody). So, nothing in it had to make sense except for forcing Kiri to "cross the line".

But that's my problem too. I'm not sure how cutting up corpse-like bodies can bring up bloodlust. I mean you can dissect corpses all day and it's not gonna have much of an effect...
