Started because I happened to be reading Strike Witches on Baka-Tsuki, Then suddenly saw this name with an interesting tone in it. 'SWORD ART ONLINE'... What could that be? I then started reading the light novels and loved it since then.

I started reading the novel on April 17, 2011 which is two years after it started publishing. I can't remember how I found the novel but it was probably after I saw images on zerochan (First Official Art on zerochan was posted on March 23, 2011). Baka-Tsuki was translating the novel and it was always very exiting when a new transelation came out. Volume 7 Mother's Rosario published on April 10, 2011 and was the last volume I read.

On April 19, 2011 I made this club with the same goal I had for another club, Kowarekake No Orgel for it to become more populair (Kowarekake No Orgel was not officially recognized by MyAnimeList as a anime because it was a dōjin). So I was really happy when Sword Art Online received a manga and anime adaptation.

I still think it would have bin better if they were more faithful to the lights novels character design for both the anime and manga. The anime also cut some of the storie short. If more time was spend on the characters I would have cared more about what happens to them. In the end Sword Art Online becoming popular gave us good and bad things but what is good and what is bad if for you to decide.

I used to play a MMORPG.

Also, the fact that I found out Yuki Kajiura (I need to get an autograph from her someday) was involved in the series for her talented skills in producing its soundtrack.

I remembered reading around summer of 2011 when I first discovered Baka-Tsuki, the title was very intriguing. But since the translation wasn't complete (on vol. 3 or was it 4?) I slowly forgot about it until I heard the AW/SAO animation adaption announcement at December and picked up from there.
The bonds within stories are unbound, unexpected, unspoken.
Only the characters themselves can see the truth of their feelings.
No matter what others would deem incompatible or not.

When I saw the calendar for summer anime releases SAO was definitely one of the TV Series I wanted to watch. Because of the lack of time, working and so on, I haven't start watching it till episode 7 was aired. After watching the first 2 episodes I was pretty impressed by its plot and not only and watched all the aired episodes in a breath. SAO is one of those anime where you ask yourself "is it already 20 minutes?".

After watching those episodes I decided to start reading the novel (a premiere for me, because I read mostly manga). So I printed the content and started reading it and the plot is very good. Thumbs up for SAO.

normaly I try to watch anime after it's ends which full one shoot on all episodes, but I couldn't do that with SAO as the setting I read somewhere was just to much interesting so I watched it (that was when 7 episodes were out) after that I started reading LN.
In first 2 days I readed 3 volumes after that one volume per day up to 9, Now I waiting for next volume to be fully translated becuase I don't want to be cut in half

In all honesty I thought it was gonna be crap, I was rather impulsive on judging the title 'Sword Art Online' on AnimeUltima. Regretted saying that best show ever XD

Well, for me..... I had always seen things about SAO and people said it was good, so I looked it up watched the first episode and I thought it was the most interesting anime I have seen. It's so creative in it's own way. I haven't seen many animes, but this one is one of my favorites ^-^ I don't know about the manga, I'm fine with just watching the anime. :P

Was a frequent visitor of this anime blog back then, and it mentioned SAO, I was curious so I checked it out since I was so interested in VR stuff. This was way before the manga was even announced. The first volume was still being translated. I think I started when chapter 15 or 16 was still being translated. The wait between chapters was... excruciating. So much so that once volume 1 was completed, I reread it, then reread it again. It was that good...

You can't imagine how I felt once the anime was announced.
