| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice build-up to the story for the first episode. Brought back Nodoka as the spark that got Shizuno to work at starting a mahjong club at Achiga, and with Kuro and Ako (deciding to come back from her other school) they only need two more members. As always, I love the music in this series. |
| The setting is fine. But impression is incomparable to the main story's first episode. That one simply blew people's mind away. But anyway, it's nice to see mahjong again. |

| It was a little too slice of life for the series, first ep in the main story was way better, I do like Kuro, Ako, and Shizuno. The other members will be in the next ep. |

| I loved it, Nodoka was adorable, Shizuno is very likeable, and Ako as well (oh god she really developed well in those 3 years). The wait was worth it, cannot wait for next week |

| ok :D for now it's not so exploding as Saki - but very nice build up and likable characters, that's for sure so I'm not affraid about the story, only if 'fights' would be as awesome as they used to be I'm satisfied :) |
| I only watched this to see Teru and maybe a Hisa cameo, but it's not bad. Even some of the music was similar to the original Saki. Nachotee said: fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck Awesome. Man, I love saki, in all its forms. Agreed :D |

| FUCK YEAH! An anime that I an totally excited about and did not disappoint. Nodotits was even amazing as a child and although there were no special effects going on in the match, it was still entertaining. The pacing was great, how it didn't linger in the past too much. I can't wait to see everyone play together, with Nodotits hopefully killing everyone. |

| Well, I'm glad they made Achiga-hen thought, could be interesting to see someone else. Yeah we probably will see a match against Teru that's one interesting thinks in this anime. Shizuno same voice actor as Hibiki from Symphogear. Well, nothing much to expect can't wait to them to play in National. For a moment I thought Ako looks like Kyouko from Yuru Yuri, is it becuase the same art design? |

| I would have loved to see the finals based on a second season of Saki but i already saw it in the manga so i kind complain. This looked great to and with i liked most about it is that it goes along with the original Saki series and the might actually meet in the tournament. What i also liked was that i saw some very familiar besides Nodoka tho i will refrain myself from talking about them. This looked like a nice group so it will be interesting to watch them progress. |

| Good start,it was a good build up episode as how they revive the club and start the journey. The characters lovely,really like Shizuno energy and Kuro calmness...great combo!! I didnt expect i like it this much but not bad not bad,waiting for more!! |

| Some surprise appearances in the OP: - Kirame Hanada and the rest of Shindouji Girls' mahjong team - Oonuma Pro The fact that Kirame appears is a near guarantee that we'll at least get to see For some comparison, first episode of Saki animated 61 pages of the manga. First episode of Saki Achiga-hen animated 88 pages of the manga, so if you felt it was a bit rushed, that is why. One more thing. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUKOYAN AND KOUKO GET VOICES! |

While this first episode was adequate in explaining the driving force for the story and introducing some of the new characters, I agree it doesn't hold a candle to Saki's first episode... | Very happy to see Nodoka's penguins again. I had forgotten everyone's names so I thought it was the president and taco girl in the beginning. I was very glad to be mistaken. I really hope it keeps showing Nodoka, and eventually Saki. Nothing can beat their pure lesbo friendship. And more tacos. Hopefully the new twintail girl and be Taco 2.0. Maybe she'll be obsessed with burritos instead! |

| More moe mahjong! It was so great seeing Nodoka again, and the old gang in the ED (which is full of energy, but nothing impressive), the new bunch also seems okay, I need more time before I can have an opinion on them. 4/5. |
| Nice set up for the story. I didn't fall in love at first sight with the new characters like I did with most of the girls in the original series, but these are still likeable. I approve of Shizu's light choice of clothing and Nodoka's outfit at the end. The best change is how there's no useless male character around, but I'm disappointed everyone seems less gay |

| Wow, an unexpectedly great first ep. The whole show felt light-hearted, honest and fun. Love the characters, they're just so cute. An added bonus for Hanazawa, I'm excited to watch more. |
