| Even though the whole mystery element isn't exactly anything unique, the episode itself was pretty decent. The characters are developed relatively well too. Can't say much about animation quality and the soundtrack, but the rest of the episode was relatively well done. I'll have to watch a few more episodes of this before I decide on continuing it x.x; screenshots |

| I've gotta wait for the sub on this one, I can't follow the plot as well when I started watching ~Requiem for the Phantom~ XD make sense it's a mystery. First impressions are good, frankly looked better than the trailer let on. |

| Have any fansub groups decided to pick this up or streaming?? I checked just about every major fansubbing site and so far it hasn't been listed by any (gg, ryuumaru, mazui, utw, coalguys, anbu), and no luck from any streaming sites either :-/ |

| Aaaaw man, I love it!! That opening song is just awesome! Yeaah, they skipped many things in this episode, but I think they will make this out a wonderful anime. We still need to watch the next episodes ;3 I hope they subb it soon, because it deserves it. Probably will be one of my favorites from this season! |
| Displaying my trademark willpower when it comes to the debut of Bee Train shows I downloaded the raw. Obviously understanding the plentiful dialogue would be nice but I have to say I was still engaged and enjoyed the episode. The opening song is awesome and the soundtrack seems good. I enjoyed the voice actors, the guy who voices the main character Yakumo is always great. It's too early to say anything definitive, but so far it's better than the trailer and I like it. Only gripe I have right now is none of the supernatural stuff was especially creepy, I was hoping for some dark creepy horror to make up for Shiki's hiatus. Eager for the subs! |
| Eh, I wasn't crazy about this first episode. It felt really rushed to me & I felt like I just couldn't really get into it. Still, I'm definitely holding off on any judgement until I see a few more episodes.. The scene where Yakumo tells Ozawa to pay up for his services (and she's like, 'Huh?' and Yakumo is like, 'Are you my friend?' '..No..' 'Are you my lover/sweetheart?' 'No way!' & Yakumo's basically like, 'Yeah, so pay up.') makes me chuckle for some reason.. Poor Gotou having to visit that creepy old guy. His laugh is bad enough, but then his weird collection too? O.o The last 40 or so seconds were probably the most interesting thing to me out of the whole episode--that, with the short preview made me curious to see next week's episode. Even though I'd probably be willing to watch it every week just to hear Yakumo speak. *swoons* XP |

| After seeing it again with subs, it was so much better. And some tender moments that just added to the great episode. This is shaping up to be a very promising series. I haven't read the novel or manga so don't know how different it is but it doesn't feel like there are gaping holes in the story to me. |

| This looks very promising, from all the Anime i seen this season till now this one seems the best. It looked very interesting and has a nice creepy yet romantic feeling to it. The 2 main characters also looked very interesting. The male lead looked very mysterious and also charismatic. While the female lead is more open yet also seems to be hiding a few things. Almost can't wait till next week. |
| Being a 13 episode adaption i would imagine they would have to cut things out. Either way i was pretty much stunned. Now while i love shows that make me think, but a detective show is sort of cliché. However, paranormal elements added into the mix, and the fact he isn't really a detective made this awesome. We will witness if that can keep it afloat now that we know all his tricks. |

This show has amazing BGM. Both the OP and ED is amazing. ♥Yakumo is so hot ♥ I cannot believe they left out practically all the horror elements shown in the manga. I mean it.... all! The synchronization of the events were better in the manga if compared. Have a lot of expectation from this show. It has to get better in terms of freaking people. At least it should some closer to Shiki's level. |

| This one really let me down. I'm reading the novel (still v01 file 01 though) and must say that whatever that made me love the novel wasn't in the anime. Also didn't like the color choices. |
| quite displeased with the first eppy to say the least.. not like I had high expectations.. neither have I read the manga... but the eppy looked very rushed, lame, and naive... apart from a couple of melodies and a bishi I've nothing left in my mind after watchign it... which is... bad T__T let's see how it'll progress in the next eppies.. but if the taken pace is kept and the story doesn't turn out to be at least tiny bit more realistic and serious.. there're high chances I'll drop it... |

What was with that leisurly chat on top of a burning building? Fortunately I do not know the story for the upcoming episode, so maybe I will enjoy it more. I really want this show to be good, too. | Well, that was a surprisingly good debut. I've heard so many bad things about Bee Train, and yet I've never gotten round to seeing any of their series, so it's a big shock to me that my first experience with them was highly positive. |

Also didn't like the color choices. I like the color pallet. I'm glad they didn't go the Blacks and Grays like Death Note. |

| I got really hyped for this, and the OP was really cool, but...well...okay I don't know. I haven't read the novels, but I have read the manga adaptions and its takes on the story seemed a bit more engaging...Well, we'll see how this anime turns out. As a first episode though, I think it was pretty good. Though it was kind of rushed, it was probably on time restraints to fit the whole story etc etc and I'll be looking forward to next episode since I've heard great things about this story! Also, I think the soundtrack was really nice. TwT |

If a manga gets animated it means it's good enough for that (I mean, it was chosen over a million of other good mangas), so why change the whole story? I mean, they didn't even explain why the teacher killed the girl(s). And who the hell sits on a roof and starts talking about life while the building is on fire? It's fine to change a few things from the manga of course, but at least they should make it good. The first version of the manga was way better, so they should have chosen that one instead of the recent version. I didn't say I hated it, it's fine for a first episode and all, but I was expecting more being this manga one of my favorites. |

| I've been waiting for a long time for this to come out, and I must say, it was worth the wait. It wasn't a perfect first episode, by any means, but I've seen much worse. I haven't read either the novels or the manga adaptations, so it was all new to me. Overall, I like the feel of it. I thought that the music was good (the OP and ED, especially), but some of it was a little...off. I can't wait for next week's episode! |

| The episode was pretty great, but it kinda felt rushed for me compared to the manga. Oh well I guess that's just how I feel. It's definitely gonna be a great series, though the ED wasn't really good, I loved the opening though. :) |
