Was trying to write up a post ahead of time while the episode was airing and didn't mean to hit enter (was entering in an image and pressed enter on my keyboard instead of pressing the actual insert button and it submitted thepost, really wish this wasn't a problem)
Unfortunately, it won't let me delete it, it says failed to delete
Apologizes for having this posted early (hopefully it can be removed before the episode ends? If not then I'll have to edit in my message afterwards.

Good lord, the eyes on Kuze and Yuki at the start, really putting on a lot of emphasis to the pressure of the election.

Honestly the whole speech, you would think that Alya would be the one that would be to convince everyone, but seemed like Kuze was the only one who carried all of the weight with his speech, but passed all of the praise and hardwork over to her.

Very cute ending though, both getting embarrassed about calling Kuze his name, their relation really sped up within the last couple of minutes... but it was VERY lacking for what is supposed to be the last episode.

This definitely needs a season 2, not exactly sure how far episode 12 is from the current light novel, but won't be surprised if they approve for a second season, especially since the way the episode ends is just asking for another season with how the election hasn't even actually happened yet.

Season 2 announced

Well that’s a wrap, 9/11 for porn addicts now that there’s no more weekly incest bait. Honestly though this was a good finale and reminded me why I like the books in the first place. No fanservice, no brocon gimmick, just showing off how far Alya has come as a person and leader and Kuze being there to support her. Roshidere is at its best when it’s episodes like these.

Everyone a demon till a real demon show up. The look on Yuki face when Kuze went off on her at the start there was brilliant. I know she wanted to bring out the best in Kuze, but be careful what you ask for lmao.

Yuki speech was solid, she said what people want to hear and on paper she’s the ideal student council president, BUT everyone likes a good story and I think Alya was able to convey her growth and challenges she’s had to overcome in her speech. Starting off speaking in Russian was dope too because everyone likes foreign and exotic stuff+ saying she does that when she’s nervous gives relatability. “The picture perfect ice princess gets nervous?” type shit.

She also showed she’s able to move forward and work with people she’s had heated debates and disagreements with and that while she might not have everything figured out, she’s got people there to support her that will help her find the best answers. There’s a level of humanity to her speech that Yuki doesn’t have, which again goes back to how far she’s come since she started off as this picture perfect idol.

And I love the ending! Alya calling Kuze by his first name finally and agreeing the hang out over summer break. Very satisfying ending to a show that at times I had issues with, but they nailed this.

Masachika and Yuki's Diplomacy are on another level.
Intimating Yuki-Chan was the great choice made by our truly.
it's finally the time for the formal presidential election campaign, Yuki is definitely one tough cookie to win over, plus Ayano the ninja girl assisting Yuki-Chan adds her chances of winning.
But Our Alya-chan have her way of getting attention 😍 with the Russian language, and that's Masachika's idea of course.
She succeeds in the talk with genuine heartfelt message & now it's time for our CHAD to give her the definite win chances with obvious mischievous behavior🀣 plus Tamiyama formally joins forces with Alya-chan in the elections but for only this time, Now have to win this with Our CHAD boy.
Have to wait for the subtitles to understand what she said in Russian lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜.
Alya's wishes of calling each other by their given names come true lol 🀣 with masachika's intentional interference.
Season 1 Ends here What a Cliffhanger!!! but i am assured this is gonna receive Season 2 production announcement.
Score 8/10.
Finished on 18th September 2024 at 20:27 Hrs IST.

Edit:
Season 2 Anime Production got announced right after the broadcast 😍✨

I mean, I'll take anything with Yuki tbh, but for a final episode... this was just meh. Her and Masachika's cunning faces this episode were funny to see lol.

Idk man, just didn't feel like a finale at all tbh. At least Masschika spoke in Russian for once, I guess? Alya as delusional as usual though, sigh.

Overall, this is nothing but your bog standard romcom you get every season, and in this season with a cesspool of them, this doesn't do much to stand out. I'll miss my weekly dose of Yuki though, that's for sure.

Last year we had Shikimori as the overhyped Doga Koba romcom, this year it’s this… Nicest way I could put it

Well it looks like a proper ending not something set up for a second season even if it's obvious there will be one.
Anyway i was thinking this would go bad for them but it seems it was Yuki's loss.
This was in my opinion the best anime of this season i enjoyed every minute of it and it was nice seeing the main characters get closer towards each other.
The are almost on couple level which is nice.
Still there are some thing that still need to be solved which we will hopefully get to see in a second season, personally i would like to see Alya finding out that Yuki and the main are siblings, i think her reaction would be interesting.

It's also not entirely clear why the main left with his dad and it seems to me it has something to do with his mother but it could be related to the grandfather as well.

Even though Yuki admitted her defeat, the battle for student council presidency isn't over yet. Face forward and we shall find out in season 2.

I will give this rom-com anime a 9/10 as we're left out in a cliffhanger for sure.

Hell of a speech by Alya. She deserved to be there and imo, it was the most believable way to end the season. They had a journey that had its many entertaining moments. I definitely enjoyed this season overall.

Now we got season 2!

@RaiYou I wish it would be. Other than having cute girls, a few funny moments and a fun MC, the plot of this show is just a colossal borefest. Do we really care who gets to be the SCP? Does it even matter when the gang sticks together regardless? I don't think so.

This whole series was a wasted potential. Would not rate it above 6/10, and 2 points from that go for Yuki and Masachika's character, who completely outshine the titular heroine.

@Suginami85 I respect your opinion, at the same time I feel like some viewers who watched this anime just for incest stuff and that's it. It was annoying as hell.

I do appreciate Yuki for all the comedy she delivered and I tried not to overreact, just so you know.

@RaiYou I do not think the incest was ever serious. Ofc, had they better explained the siblings home situation instead of wasting time on boring political speeches, it might have made more sense why Yuki is acting that way.

The closing ceremony should be a piece of cake for Alya, but after Yuki's overwhelming taunt, Masachika gives his best to assist her to avoid the latter psychologically cracking down. With all facades thrown out the door, only sarcasm takes shape between the Suou siblings being like pitbulls against each other. What sets thereafter is the onset battle between the president potential hopeful and the president candidate challenger alongside the even more cunning brother onboard, and with the actual ceremony presented to the student body, it's the true test of not just getting the votes, but the confidence that gets the influence to swing votes to their side.

While Yuki goes first, she set the trend and Ayano backed that up, giving a rather masterful speech. And come Alya...she goes full-ham Russian due to nervousness, but that's actually Masachika's plan to pour cold water on the student body and get them to put her on a pedestal to overdeliver with full-on focus. Masachika going on thereafter with his own little Manzai comedy that he dumped Yuki to support Alya instead, you could tell that he has the morales of a former vice-president and knows how to adjust the competition to his strength with the absurdity to bring both Taniyama and Nonoa to their side, which is a ballsy one-time high-stakes risk that delivered to an ovation that completely destroyed Yuki and Ayano.

First names for a start...is quite the embarrassment, as Summer break prep for the upcoming student council president election faces forward.

Season 2 naturally comes to the table, and this will be a fiery psychological battle incoming.

There's something uniquely unnerving about visibly seeing someone who usually has a perma-smug face like Yuki visibly lose their cool.

Surprised with how much psychological warfare between prodigy siblings was in something advertised as "the romcom with the Russian tsundere" but this was still a fun ride.

Also half-expected Alya to find out Masachika could understand Russian all along when he looked ahead right after he was told to, and for that to be the cliffhanger of the season lmao

This fake hard persona Yuki tries to be comes off very cringe ngl, even if sometimes it was intended to be as something funny.

This was a good show, definitely one of the few shows I was looking forward to every week, although I still prefer Makeine. I hope next season we'll get to see the characters discover things like them finding out Yuki and Masachika are siblings or Alya finding out Masachika could understand her all this time.

Masachika got Yuki good there with asking help from Taniyama. Their little confrontation before the speech was intense, they both could kill with the look on their face. Good speech from Alya, great voice acting from Uesaka Sumire. Alya started calling him by first name too so that's a win for her there as well. Also lol Yuki giving major boss character vibes, nice one their Ayano.

Enjoyed this the most out of all anime this season, such a fun watch with amusing and pretty waifus and character interactions. Animation, visuals, voice acting were really good too. Super looking forward to season 2.

I was disappointed in Yuki's character. Or maybe I just expected too much. In the first episodes it felt like the show is giving hints that Yuki will deliberately lose the election for her brother's sake and use her usual antics and schemes to ultimately bring the ultimate surprise outcome. Masachika deliberately discussing about dumping Yuki comparing her to Alya was kinda out of the line or wasn't so impressive of a fight. Watching the whole season didnt make me crave for the next one.

With the release of Episode 12, Roshidere's first season has concluded.

This episode was beautifully adapted from the LN, much respect to Doga Kobo. Masachika and Yuki's confrontation was something I was looking forward to being animated, as well as seeing Masachika's sneer being animated, and IT WAS PEAK. The episode didn't feel rushed, and it was faithful to the LN.

Alya is only going to go up from here folks, she won't be needing Masachika's help as often. And Alya's speech was very well-directed and superb voice acting by Sumire Uesaka.

Enjoyed Roshidere FAR MORE than any other anime this season, and for this whole calendar year as well.

So sad that the anime has come to an end. My weekly dose of anime Roshidere has dissipated for now, it would seem. This is one of the anime adaptations I enjoyed the most in my life. I don't care what anyone else has to say. Well, I still have the LN to read, so I'll survive.

10/10.

@DragyG I immediately cheered up as soon as I started watching the episode. My gloomy, dismal mood was nowhere to be found.

Just one complaint though. They skipped Masachika's Russian.

Peak comes to an end, what an incredible journey.

This final episode had everything that made Alya special in the first place, cute characters, RUSSIA, Yuki, and Romance. The speeches also felt realistic, It's convincing enough to be taken seriously. Reminds me of my High school student council Vice President speeches. Loved the way the characters strategically planned on the spot, Happens a lot when voting and giving speeches.

This episode really tied up loose ends and gave us an ending, granted not one that I loved but an ending that I liked. I will definitely read the LN since i'm impatient and cant wait for season 2!

Roshidere a 8.5/10

Alya and Masachika did a good job getting the student body on their side with their speeches at the closing ceremony, especially after having to follow up a solid speech from Yuki. I’m glad this got a 2nd season announcement as this conclusion definitely doesn’t leave a sense of closure. We’ll get to finish off this election plot line and then see what more this series has to offer. That final scene between Alya and Masachika was super wholesome and sweet. Need more of that fr. Looking forward to S2!
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

A bit of an underwhelming season finale to be honest.

Crazy how at the end Masachika forgot to act confused and listened to the Russian "Look ahead", practically giving away the fact that he speaks Russian.

Good point. I guess both him and Alya were engrossed in the moment, so neither of them really cared.

@MegamiRem Same. I too enjoyed it the most.

What did you rate Roshidere?

Didn't he just give away that he can understand russian by looking at her in the last scene?

Ah, Alya Didn't Hide Her Feeling In Russian.

The siblings's psychological warfare sure is the highlight of the episode, but in the end Alya character development won the day.

And people still keep yapping about her not getting any character development.
