Monogatari Series: First Season
| This topic has probably already been run into the ground for this particular season at this point but I’m curious to see the current state of what people think about it as it’s very overboard sexualization and sexual tones compared to its previous and successor seasons. As a fan of the series I am well aware that monogatari is no stranger to fan services (most of the time I’m for it as well 💀) and I understand that this season explored Araragi’s relationships through sexual tones but I found it to be annoying and kinda unbearable at times. There are certain scenes that come to mind especially THAT scene but all of them most of the time were just uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong I’m not against fan service but this just felt so weird compared to the rest of the series. |

Yeah even though it’s focused on the his sisters, he still a main character and shows up often |

| It's a perfectly good theme for a show to have, and this show does it very well with great inventiveness. |

Monogatari is literally humble asf knowing what kindve story it can be and direction it could easily take to be more of a watchable exprience. But people do need to realize this anime is honestly built upon punchlines and subtle comedy. So say when a fight scene is rushed or skipped, it's simply the pov of whomever being like "that isn't interesting or fun enough lol". When it's anything having to do with fanservice, it's obligatory used to be the most wild and vile for a sense of shock value to add "pazzaz" to the story they are telling. And from whomevers pov thinks that would make it more interesting. Monogatari to some may see it holds itself back from being however good they think the show can be when in all honesty shaft or nisio isin knows this very well and is explicitly acknowledging the viewers reactions and says I'll do it again. Like a big ass troll. Honestly the thing I realized about this show and a big reason why it's just so peak. That’s actually a great point and I do respect this season in that way and that was the sorta vibe I got from it as well. With that said even though I didn’t like how overboard it is compared to other seasons I can respect it for doing so if that makes sense. Especially the toothbrush scene which takes a completely non sexual act somehow makes it insanely sexual. I can respect that lmao. Though I am kinda shock of how much of a hot take this was 💀 |

Though I am kinda shock of how much of a hot take this was 💀 yea your good honestly it's crazy in how yes monogatari is a very well written and thought provoking show that deals with themes so flawlessly and themes I don't really see that are discussed in any other media alone. Couple that with great animation and unique art direction like yea its peak. But people don't realize how genuise it all truly is when in all honesty it's a slice of life comedy show just about character interactions and out of pocket moments to one up the stories that are told again and again. Which imo is what truly makes it peak EXACTLYYYY Like people are like “if you don’t like that then don’t watch the show”, but why would I let something like that stop me from experiencing the very unique and interesting ways the characters interact with each other. On top of this the edited and style of this show is like nothing I’ve ever seen. It really is a beautiful show. I’m just kinda surprised on how shallow people think of it. |

Nisio Isin 🐐 fr fr While Nise might not be the most critically acclaimed part of the series, I still love it. I mean sure, Nise is probably a lot more weirder than anything other part because of its fan service but that's what I like about it. For me, Nisemonogatari is one of the most fun I had with Monogatari Series. |
| It's just the way the Monogatari series is, so I don't really mind because it's just anime. |
