Pretty chill season finale with a bit of emotional vibes. Oscar and Tinasha's relationship is the highlight here again since the pair has progressed so much this season.

All the events leading up to this episode, Oscar is still her hero. It does look like this episode went back to the roots of the show from the beginning with its themes. It's a fine finale imo but not something groundbreaking.

Oscar helping Tinasha to clean out her tower, only to have him be teleported iby a magic sphere to a land where the tower doesn't exist and finding said girl in a rather mundane room travelling back 400 years into the past, he desperately needs her 13-year-old younger self to return him back to his original time. For the time being, him learning how young Tinasha is raised, it certainly brings him memories of her current self, though the question to save her from the tragedy that befell her in time to come, eats on Oscar's mind. And whatever he could do to help the young witch get better for her future, it's the same tit-for-tat exchange with helping with her research. Also, Lanak existing in the past does seem normal to Tinasha, whom he knows her as Aeti, but Oscar in his infinite wisdom to warn her of the atrocities that he will commit in the future, Tinasha may be built that way for now as a childlike young girl, but she'll come to know in time.

Oscar's promise of her finding him in the future, as well as the magic sphere that brought him back in time that was found in the treasury, it all comes to a head of him stopping Tinasha's ritual just in time, revealing the true nature of Lanak and his thirst for power. And being unable to stop his berserk power, Oscar guided her to do so with his support to stop the destruction of Tuldarr, but at the risk of rewriting history such that the both of them will never meet in the rewritten future to come.

Act One of the LN is over, and it was a rather disappointing effort in the adaptation. I'd be surprised that this show has Season 2 to adapt Act Two, the 2nd half of the LN to give the entire show a complete-but-rushed adaptation.

EDIT: Never mind, Season 2 has been confirmed for Winter next year, so we'll be getting the full-but-incomplete split-cour adaptation.

This needs a season 2. I have heard the LN is so very problematic at this time travel stuff, so they shouldn't end it with this. Instead, give us a new season to fix this. Since the end feels too sudden. If they didn't already have a season 2 planned, it should have ended with the wedding.

This might be the worst anime of the season, even ahead of Slime and Re:Monster for me (there are a couple other shows like Highspeed Etoile or 'The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases' that are objectively worse but didn't care enough about whatsoever to really make note of it in detail). Given how terrible the buildup was in the first 11 episodes, the twist to have it restart basically with this finale (which I already didn't care about in the books to happen out of nowhere), was handled very poorly here and ultimately, the husks of characters that we followed throughout feels even more meaningless now. There is a second season but I liked that content even less than the first half of the books, and I'm not a fan of those either. Given how dreadful the adaptation is, not holding up much hope for anything. For the amount of complaining I can have about Slime and its boring meetings, Unnamed Memory's characters didn't feel like anything at all and the plot felt so random and haphazard due to its terrible adaptation. Unnamed Memory is worse and yeah, don't think there is a show I actually disliked more and had enough care about what I saw to consistently feel frustrated and rant on it than just watching it without a care and moving on instantly like a couple other forgettable terrible shows this season.

No matter how much rushed this was the ending hit damn hard. Wonder if anything like Tinasha livin' for long and went to Farsas to search for Oscar and stuff would happen. Anyways can't wait til next year's winter season for the season 2. Imma off to read the ln

@KANLen09 I'm glad there's an S2, I was kind of disappointed that the ending was "none of the anime ends up happening because time BS", even if it was sweet and because of love and such.

All the fantasy shows I love getting 2nd cours. This, Kantei skill and Dainanaoji I won. I know LN readers hate it, but as an anime only I enjoyed this a lot even though this ending was a massive WTF moment.

Alright first of all, in a show that has really bad pacing like this, a time travel arc is crazy. It already felt like every episode was a time travel arc with how rushed it was. I mean even in this episode they skipped showing Oscar asking the townspeople for help and learning the year, just to go straight to where Tinasha was lol. Even as an anime only you can just feel how abridged everything is.

On the bright side, Tinasha in the past was so cute and needs to be protected 😭 when they mentioned Lanak my heart sank because of what we all know he does to her in the original timeline, but wtff I didn’t expect Oscar to rewrite history like that and destroy his original timeline. This is mind blowing to me to leave off on like this, I’m starting to read this weekend for sure because I need answers

So, basically the previous 11 episodes just went out the window and they’re gonna have to meet and fall in love again?? I thought we’d get a whole season of Tinasha and Oscar married and trying to break the curse in cour 2, but we’re going to get a retelling of their love story? Interesting, I guess that’s what the whole “unnamed memory” title is about, eh?

Tinasha crying at the end broke me man fuck, I’m glad she ain’t gotta go through the betrayal of Lanak, but at the same time that’s what made her who she is so it’s gonna be really interesting to see what a queen Tinasha of Taldurr will be like ..

Even with its faults I really enjoyed this show and will miss it. Tinasha and Oscar were my light in the darkness ❤️

This anime was an uneven mess. The relationship between the two was kind of wholesome even though it felt waaaay to rushed because of the messy tempo of the show. The last episode somewhat managed to tug at my heartstrings for a second, but it was pretty much just a second. The "set up" for next season is pretty shaky at best.

Mid out of 10 show that wasted an interesting premise and was barely scraping by on the 2 leads relationship. I'm bumping it up to 6/10 just cuz it actually made me care for a bit. Not very hopeful for what's to come in Season 2, but only time will tell.

I enjoyed the dynamic between Oscar and Tinasha and it's refreshing to see mature characters in a romance for a change.

that said the story and pacing is a mess, I simply don't see the point in this episode. it just seemed so unnecessary. it's also annoying how every week there is some life threatening event that's solved the following episode. some more chill episodes would have even put the pacing.

I will not change my 6/10, but I do wish I had better insurance, didn't expect this episode to convert my area to a flood zone.

I heard the light novel is much better than this adaptation, so it doesn't surprise me how hard this hits. Anything to do with memory modification, in such an emotional way, gets me so much.

Both the lovebirds agree time-travel to save a loved one is bad idea, however, since Oscar was already there, he could not possibly choose to leave in hopes that after FOUR HUNDRED PLUS YEARS his love, Tinasha, would find happiness. This definitely is not preferred by Tinasha, though is also not bad, as she will live normal life with only the pre-14 Trauma, rather than wallowing in that trauma for 400+ years to be "saved" (more so assisted). Oscar lost his love, Tinasha lost her love, but saved her from days of agonizing pain and 400+ years of lonely-ness, as well as saved her entire Kingdom that got wiped out last time.

5/5 for this episode, it truly is great how passive these two are, she's just chilling. The kiss is debatable, but was just a kiss and he ceased to exist not long after so sure.

I would downgrade this to 2/10 so fast, luckily his only major blunder was the rape/sexual assault threatening he was doing one time, but knew was wrong and never did again. He gave his no longer future wife a baby kiss on the lips before I vanished, anymore is just too wrong.

I like it, the episode felt fresh and outside the box compared to most other Anime stories.
Sure, maybe not the feel good ending I wanted, but then again it is not over yet, S2 is coming.
Overall I think this show was good, pretty fast paced when it comes to big events and a bit different, in a good way.
There was room for improvement though, not a 10/10, more like a very high 7 for me.

Despite the "bad" ending which I usually despise, I actually liked the final episode a lot. I know that there will be another versions of their story, but this episode even if consider it as actual ending was pretty good and redeemed a lot of dubious plot twists in previous episodes.

This anime genuinely made me sad. Although not in a traditional sense, despite it shortcomings and the pace comparable Redbull's F1 car in the hands of Max Verstappen i still enjoyed some aspects of this anime. The relationship between Oscar and Tinasha was genuinely enjoyable even with its adaptation issues, what made me sad is that we probably won't see the relationship to its fullest extent in an anime format. I really don't think this anime would get remade (although i would be delighted to be proven wrong). Well i hope the adaptation gets better for Season 2 (i doubt it but again i would be delighted to be proven wrong)

And so we end with Oscar inadvertently traveling back in time and changing Tinasha's future.

So I watched this blind, and going into this finale I was preparing my final thoughts around the idea that I found this show alright, but unremarkable. Perhaps ironically forgettable even. Things would happen but they wouldn't really stick with me. So maybe this rather random twist involving time travel didn't come out of nowhere. Maybe it was heavily foreshadowed and I simply forgot. I vaguely remember that red sphere Oscar mentioned...I think. But ya know, even if this does make sense I really don't see the need for it. They were already happily ever aftered after the last episode. Why do this? I dunno. This is a 6/10 ignoring this episode, and I don't know that I care enough to bother with a seemingly unnecessary second season. We'll see in January, I guess.

EDIT: Also this was my 1,050th completed entry on here apparently. Wish it turned out to be a better show lol.

This episode was good and well paced according to light novel but i don’t know about other episodes’ pacing. This episode made me tear up because it made me reminisce the pain i felt when i was reading the light novel. The light novel is really great and i loved each and every chapter. Its just the anime wasn’t able to adapt the story too well or I should say they wanted to make the act 1 rushed so that they can reach a certain point where they can get to the main plot but they forgot about how much plot development matters to viewers who haven’t read the light novel yet but still I am glad that Unnamed memory got an Anime. I am really looking forward to season 2.

It is great that there would be another season, cuz maybe they will "repair" what they just broke in me. I just hate endings like that , i have no promblems witch "tragic" endings but this was all horribly wrong. Hopefully im not the only one who is feliing this way. It was a great final episode. So, Oscar tried to change his past and disappeared completely, leaving Tinasha the official queen of Farsas kingdom. I was impressed about how they managed to defeat Lanak once and for all. Akashia sword wielded by Oscar had a tremendous power in terms of magic.

I am so glad it will be a second season next year in January. This story must continue, there are so many more to be shown and we’ll see how Tinasha manages the kingdom’s chores and what decision would she make as a queen. Maybe she will give up about her title as Azure Moon witch, it would be interesting:)

This anime suprised me, especially the final episode. I liked it very much, everything was almost perfect (animation, characters, story, adaptation, etc.). Also, the opening/ending theme were both good. I can say that Oscar really loved Tinasha from the bottom of his heart, he did not give up when he was rejected so many times and now, the Witch Of Silence’s curse is broken.

Can we just pretend episode 12 doesn’t exist for now? I liked the show, don’t get me wrong. And I mean, sure, there were issues with the plot and pacing throughout, but overall I liked how it turned out, at least through episode 11. Episode 12 undid everything I enjoyed about the story and while it’s great that there’s a confirmed second season for them to redeem that ending, I just don’t know what to feel about it now. Maybe reading the LN would make it make sense?
