| There's already an unofficial tl out. This is probably the first time I've seen people be hyped for a manga by a rookie. The art is great. Really cool paneling. MC is out for blood. Massacred all of those goons at once. The manga already got a lot of attention overseas. For better .......and for worse. Really interested to see how it does in Japan tho. But great start. Looking forward to it. |

| I saw this randomly on a website I normally read manga on and gave it a try because it said shounen jump and was a first chapter. How could it even be hyped, if the chapter is not officially out and the mangaka is pretty much unknown. :D Anyways, I think it was not bad for a start. I found the art a little mediocre at first, but it got a lot better to the end. Storywise I found it a little confusing as it started off like it was a realistic story and about halfway in there was, pretty much without exposition, magic. So I am not exactly sure, if I got hooked by the storytelling. The protagonist looked nice but I did not learn enough about him to really relate to him as a character. What I liked most was the setting. The 1950s ? like vibe with the swordsmith theme and sorcery. It reminded me somehow a little of Gintama and Bleach. 3-4 (tending to 4) /5 |

| That was really a nice start. It's been some time since i've hyped any first chapter of a shounen. We've been needy of some good shounen since the final of Naruto, Bleach, KHR and other good shounen. Since then, only Jujutsu was really hype. I think that Kagurabachi is really promising |

| Very average start. Feels really disjointed with the first and second half of the chapter. First half just felt really off with the humor and how much of the MC's dialogue was just "yeah" and "uh huh". Second half was better but it feels like it's relying more on style then substance. |

| Only heard of this because I was seeing hype on Twitter out of nowhere, for a manga that wasn't even out yet lmao. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to check it out. I like it so far. Chihiro seems like he'll be a cool badass instead of the dumb loudmouth type of shounen MC that I feel like new-gen shounen should try and steer away from. I'm also a sucker for shit that involves swords. I wasn't sure how I felt at first about sorcery being thrown in, as I thought this series would be more grounded in reality, but the idea of the sorcery being imbued in the sword seems like an interesting concept so I'll keep an open mind about that. I imagine people will compare this to JJK (because sorcery) and Bleach/Demon Slayer (because swords). My wishlist for the next few chapters is to learn what happened to Chihiro's dad, fill in the gap of that abrupt 38 month timeskip, and hopefully see how Chihiro became the swordsman he is. I can feel the potential that this one has so hopefully it doesn't get axed in 25 chapters lol. |

| Art is definitely good but for me story is just meh, I was reading and felt nothing. It would be much better first chapter if MC was fighting and killed one sorcerer so we could see some imaginative fight... MC is not struggling at all and probably it will take some time before he face any challenge. Honestly I could see something like this after page 24 sorcerers would attack their home do some cool magic and almost kill MC's dad, then we would see how his father is "sacrificing himself" (and fish?) to make those swords and boom time skip to page 40 or 49 (you choose)... We don't need to learn backstory of some random gang that was destroyed in first chapter. |

| Pretty good first chapter, not sure why it has garnered so much hype. Swords and magic are cool and it has a darker edge than most jump with enough blood to make the kids reading think its mature to read. But chapter two has some heavy lifting to get the story going. I always dislike when stories that are told non linear to hide the past because often if told in sequential order it usually is not that interesting and its a technique used to add mystery to what otherwise would be boring stories. The twitter hype honestly did this a disservice but I am still excited to continue reading this unlike nue exorcist. |

| This manga has a lot of potential because it has sorcery and is set in the Taisho period. The story is a somewhat generic revenge story, but if this is well-planned a revenge story can turn into a delightful read. The main character is a swordsmith, who learned to craft from his father, he is trying to avenge the death of his father. The art of the manga is incredibly detailed when compared with other shonen mangas. You could say that the art style is similar to the style of Akanebanashi, Akanebanashi has a similar amount of detail, for example, the buildings and surroundings (plants and the ground) have the same texture and detail. But the action choreography in this is unique, the stylistic choices made by the mangaka can turn this into an instant favorite. It's evident that the author doesn't dwell that long in the action, he gets it done in 2 or 3 pages. I hope he builds the story a lot more in the second chapter.  Hopefully, the manga doesn't get axed like Ayashimon and Red Hood. |

| So far it’s okay. Definitely not impressed. Usual Yazuka revenge story with katanas and big bad yazuka guys. Even the art seems to be not that creative with designs and such. It doesn’t really differentiate itself from other kind-of-serious shonen Sorcery is an interesting mix, still it didn’t feel very captivating. Storytelling and narrative were pretty boring. Again, another hyped series for no reason at all just because someone on twitter lied and told everyone this had one the best first chapters ever. MamaYuyu had a stronger first chapter. |
