Not one of those "Demon slayer hater" , but i would proudly say that Dororo is 100x better than DS, at least in terms of writing/story and overall experience

Animation ? Ofc it's Demon Slayer

Worse. Actually I can score Dororo at 6 or 7 and Demon Slayer 9 or even 10, but it's my personal opinion of course :D

There is not much in terms of overall quality. Dororo starts off strong but slowly gets worse while Demon Slayer does the opposite.

A lot more serious and dark. Little to no humour/comedy. It's basically a revenge story that does not go the regular shounen route.

The first 12 episodes or Dororo are really good. The last 12 so terrible to make watching this series not worth it. Demon slayer is pretty generic, but good at what it does.

I’d say Dororo is better by a pretty big amount, in terms of characters and story atleast. Animation it’s obviously demon slayer because ufotable made it. But if you like demon slayer I would really recommend this

In my opinion this is better than demon slayer the only thing it loses on is animation but the overall story and writing is better so id highly recommend it.

Man, if they did a better job with the story and pacing, Dororo would've been 100% better than Demon Salyer. Hyakimaru is one of my favorite anime characters of all time and I love Dororo to bits, but darn it, 30% of the episodes felt like straight filler.
Demon Slayer is the better anime and that movie was top tier.
But darn, I wish Dororo was better

They are both very good, I personally like Demon Slayer better, it's a series you can get into and I just really like Demon Slayer as a whole, but Dororo is also really good it's not the same as demon slayer, they're very different and the themes and setting(Demon slayer is set in Taisho period while Dororo in Sengoku period) are also very different and so is the story, I'm guessing the reason you're putting them together is because in Dororo Hyakkikaru tries to get his body back and in KnY Tanjiro tries to turn Nezuko back into a human and trust me if you haven't watched Dororo then do watch it.

Demon slayer may be generic for you people but it was way better written and didn't have any plot holes or annoying characters ..

Character had clear motives and morals..

Dororo would have been 9 like demon slayer ... It was actually better than demon at start but second half is super annoying especially that kid dororo

If I have to say which one I preffer, it would be Demon Slayer, but Dororo is very good as well. The stories are pretty different. The only similarity is that therr are demon battles in both shows.

In terms of story writing and world building I would say dororo is better, it's also way heavier psychologically and touches more sensitive topics. It's a more mature samurai show than demon slayer and I definitely recommend.

The way I see it Dororo is like a dark, mystery/horror/action kinda show while Demon Slayer is a Shonen. Now I’m not going to shit on DS just because it’s a Shonen but the story doesn’t hold a candle to that of Dororo. Dororo is also a lot more mature and complex while DS is… well… a Shonen. Sorry but there is just no way around that.
