Welp, Ochako also got her own intern episode. It's pretty much an episode featuring the Ochako and her friends on their own little adventure.

Looks like we also got some fan service with swimsuits. I must say though, this episode actually exceeded my expectations. Ochako flying an aircraft and taking a huge risk herself was admirable. It felt like watching a minimovie with these heroes.

Honestly at this point I think it is turning into a terrible anime. Every episode becoming worse and worse. Like The Seven Deadly Sins, it will quickly lose all it's appeal. New and better SHOUNENs are coming every season. While Mappa, Ufotable, Wit are trying to make a Genre defining Anime, MHA is living off it's past popularity. What is Bones doing? Do they even care anymore?
It was good while it lasted.

We got to see some of the characters from the previous season where Tsuyu did her intern training but this time around Tsuyu's not alone with Captain Selkie, she has her friends with her. The girls were having fun on the beach and enjoying their barbeque. Those swimsuits were cute.

Gotta say Ochaco was pretty impressive with that plane. She managed to not crash it and safely complete the mission along with her friends. A little bit of action in that mission.

Felt like a filler episode tbh, as the end credit scene was the only thing I could potentially say was more info but I'm not caught up with the source material.

The whole uraraka you can do it bit was jokes, she was told once that she should try so she forgot about her uncertainties lmao.

For reference, I took this as more of an OVA than an actual episode in the season, as otherwise this episode was straight trash xD

What was the need for a beach episode.... .-.

Pretty weak and boring episode. You can see how much I cared about the drug dealing now, only to have it never mentioned again in the story

Enough, I expect this will be the last episode like this or I'm dropping the anime after 5 seasons. Im really tired of this horrible level of quality, starts to be a pain to follow it week after week.

Right now the score of the full season is maybe 3/10.

Fair enough, honestly I counted this episode more of an OVA than anything, since it's useless for the entire plot and was more of something I turned my brain off to to just enjoy rather than something more narrative focused. Agree with the first half being absolutely dry as hell though, literally made a cour to show us that deku got an extra power, and that bakugo is changed lmao

Yeah bones is killing mha, never expected to say this but bones really messed an anime adaptation.at the beginning of the season 5, I had hope since bones was a very good reputated studio but now its ep 16 still we are getting fillers , I have lost all hope for this season.

Pretty obvious this is setting up the plot of the movie. Light hearted fan service and reintroducing some characters we haven’t seen in action in awhile. I loved it. Best episode so far from a lack luster season.

Nice catch! Totally forgot about the movies they release with basically each season now lol, it was fairly left field since they had some thick foreshadowing and then we got some light hearted fun hence why I called it an OVA but it's apparently filler - basically the same thing imo- but it makes more sense now!

In case you guys cant tell , this is an anime original ep that acts as a prologue to the upcoming movie . This isnt the first time this has happened either , as the past 2 movies also had this sort of prologue ep . Surprised no-one expected this

I am just happy we got more ryukyu .

Also , condolences to the fallen trypophobic comrades . This must have been a horror to watch .

Horikoshi wasn’t feeling good when he wrote the joint training arc. In fact I think he wanted to do the Villain academia arc before the joint trading arc. Also the production committee and studio bones agreed on a certain number of episodes. This HAD to be filler so it can tie not only to the upcoming movie but also because we’ll be one episode into the next arc and that will screw everything up. Studio bones know what they’re doing. But the source material was just bad. As for season 4… yeah studio bones ruined Gentle but I think they did far better in this season.

If this was a long running anime there would be no problem about many filler and anime orginal episodes. But since this is a seasonal anime they should make only one non manga cannon episode per season.

I really like mha first 4 seasons they were almost perfect 10/10(if you doubt me check my profile). I am just stating my opinion that this season isnt as good as other seasons .

i didn’t like season 4. If you read the manga, then you’ll understand why. I hated my hero academia season 4. Overhaul had so much potential from his theories on quirks and his research on trying to change society by eliminating quirks… then anime was about taking away people’s quirks so he and his gang can rule of Japan. It was horrible. And gentle!! Omg! They ruined the shit at of him. There was so much at stake built up with him and Deku and HORIKOSHI WENT IN!! To the point that it made Deku look like a villain. Gentle even said in one translation: “If you want to achieve your dreams, you must bear the risk of shattering another persons dreams.” But the anime portrayed gentle as a stupid irrational villain and not the fallen hero he really is.

I will agree with you to the extent that it is pretty boring in the current episodes, however saying it’s turning into a terrible anime is too far. Before the current arc, we get a glimpse of shigaraki in the deika (pretty sure that’s not the name but let’s go with that) incident. There were multiple references toward that arc and the internships are for a buildup for the war arc. But yeah this season is overall pretty bland because mva was swapped with the interns (because of the movie I assume). Since they’re doing filler episodes now I guess mva and war arcs will be next season.

We get random drug bust then beach volleyball/fishing and saving the ocean ecosystem from…then a tease into the movie…with a bunch of episodes left…tanking the second half of the season with a few little glimpses of MVA stuff to set up another bad movie…I am one of the 1/5 votes I wish there was a 0/5 option

expected some plot so I FF all the fanservice. Ended up watching nothing but boring dialogue and a bland action sequence. It's on me that I didn't enjoy it to its fullest... but let's be honest there wasn't much here to enjoy

A nice little side story following the girls at Ryukyu agency teaming up with Selkie to stop those smugglers. As an original episode I enjoyed it, showcased the female characters well taking on villains who were crafty and sneaky. Seeing them in swimsuits eating barbecue was nice, as Selkie said enjoying this momentary peace. Which is honestly a good motto for this whole season since shit is getting nuts very very soon. Uraraka especially did great on this mission, using the cables in her suit, new one looks great, to latch onto that Plane then making the whole thing weightless. She did good not letting the plane crash with all those chemicals. With the line Selkie said at the end about where the drugs were going and an after credits scene that leads into the new movie. Next episode we get back to the musketeers and Endeavor, with some very personal baggage.

well i wouldnt consider myself as a "fan" of mha , i too think its just meh .(i liked the previous seasons just fine though).
in fact this ep was actually very generic and boring to me . like i said , ryukyu was the only saving grace this ep.....
