| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yet another pre-air, but don't ask where did this one come out. THE ORAL CIGARETTES coming in with a good song, though this one can be hit-or-miss. The world of Scarlet Nexus is still pretty much a dystopian bare-bones of a No Man's Sky kind of rhetoric setting. Still not very sold on neither characters nor (what I can mostly and accruately assume) anime-original plot of the anime that's just basically a pre-promotion to the game. Basically though, Sunrise's production values give the anime a better name and quality than everything else of this sub-standard plot. Everything that this episode aimed to answer is the powers of each of the Scarlet Guardians to get used as the plot progresses between them and the still-kinda-awful CGI Others creatures/monsters. Something definitely feels weird about this one. |

| Idk if I might dropped this, but the show is getting interesting so why not. Great OP as i expected to The Oral Cigarette song is so hype and I loved it. There so many new characters introduced today their art style is kidda i seen before, not mention i hate to say this... but i thought that Kasumi have a same look and personality on hentai i watched before :> |

| This episode was as little better than the first one but considering that I didn't like the first episode, it doesn't mean much. Rip, the girl sacrificed herself. Screen shattering effect at the end was cool. |

| The design of their battlesuits with hoodies, despite being entirely CG is dope af. I absolutely love it. This series reminds me of World Trigger, which I love and well. |

| I liked episode 2 much more than the first. I like the character designs, the environment has been quite dull though. The animations are okay, average at best for an action/thriller anime but I watched it coming off of playing the demo of the game so I guess my expectations might've been a bit too high. I do love the aesthetic of the outfits for the characters, the Brain Drive mode for the characters that they go into. I've been eyeing the game for several months on the PS Store and kept it on my radar. After playing through the demo, I'm definitely considering a purchase, but I'm still trying to adjust to JRPGs, I've never been the biggest fan of them in the past. My fairly recent return to anime as a whole has changed my perspective on them though. I'm just consuming as much Japanese media as I can these days. Will probably give it a go soon. Looking forward to seeing more new episodes of the anime. I doubt it'll be a 2-cour run. I can see it being a one and done 12-13 episode season. Hope there's more than that because I like the theme. But I think the anime is simply a byproduct to promote the main money maker (the game). |
| Kasane is so overprotective of her sister that it's almost getting annoying to watch. Speaking of which, she seems to have a decent relationship with her sister even during their childhood. Arashi is kinda silly. I'm guessing this show will flesh out more personalities from the main cast. Average episode imo. Feels like there's still potential but it's taking its sweet time to develop the story. That cliffhanger though. |

| Is it just me, or doeas this remind you of a mix between the Gibiate and Phanatsy Star Online 2 anime. Just jumps right in without establishing a good connection and investment in the characters. Just here's the people, and then action. Very poorly excecuted, but I've seen much worse, so I'm probably gonna finnish it anyways.. |

| The designs look cool, but the story seems empty and cliched. Well, this was never in my plan to watch list, but I still decided to try it. I hope this can be a mild entertainment. I think Nagi will die because the male best friend always dies early on. lol |
| Several things I liked: CGI of the armor on our heroes General animation, fight scenes included Several things I think are weird: Enemies .... corset wearing flower arrangements, water valve tree heads Gray Haired Sister ..... I will determine if you are worthy of my sister (????) A guy named Karen? Is this like a Boy Named Sue? Several things I don't like: Gray Haired Sister and Blonde Sister spending every episode yelling "Sister" constantly......I may only learn one word in Japanese from this anime and it will be Sister And the horndog friend of our MC .....he is spending most of his time watching Blondie, chatting Blondie, or looking around for Blondie. And Gray Hair thinks the MC is after her sister??? Get a clue girl. |

Get a clue girl. sad part is the things you didn't like wasn't that apparent in the game nagi was still pretty into naomi but because for several reasons you don't see them together that often. in fact yuito and kasane were never supposed to make direct contact at that monument. the word onee-chan still comes out of kasane's mouth 24/7 but due to her being with other OSF members every time (and never with her sister), you don't really hear that within the mission or so. whatever the anime is doing, we all can say it is indeed going fast-paced + not exactly going the way the game went. it may look bad, but I am curious to see what would happen where shit actually gets real. |
| The art style feels too soft to me, if that makes any sense. I guess it's because I'm used to the rather crisp environments of the game at high resolution. The episode was fine, I'd say it was paced very fast. I'm only a little ahead of the anime on Kasane's playthrough. They skipped the first mission that happens in the construction yard on Kasane's route. Naomi blushing was very cute. I wouldn't expect this show to make a whole lot of sense to anyone who hasn't played the game, I doubt they will explain much. That said, I need to step up and get further into the game to avoid being spoiled in 2 weeks when they catch up to where I am right now. |

| Better than episode 1 Like episode 1, the animation looks choppy (seems like MC's face and body-shape changes every other cut), and while the CG fights don't look bad, I can't tell the difference between the characters because they all wear the same outfit and their faces are covered. At least the story got a little interesting. Hoping they can carry the momentum into next episode |

| Well idk how to feel about this yet but that was an interesting fight. Animation was alright but the design and art makes up for it a little bit. CGI is alright. It was obvious that someone was going to die, probably won't die somehow.. |

Just play the game if this caught your attention, is way too superior tbh, even the opening of the game (Dream In Drive by the Oral Cigarettes, at least in my opinion lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QttwjLOnIDo They even are changing some things, for example, in the part of the training, it's a 3v3v3 without Arashi (Kasane, Hanabi and Tsumugi vs Yuito, Kagero and Shiden vs Gemma, Naomi and Nagi) and ofc it is rushed, I literally spend like 4-5 hours just to get to the same point that this episode ended. |
