| HOLY SHIT this is actually quite bad...remembering the incident of Marchen Madchen about production horror (EXACTLY with the LAST 2 episodes) about a year or 2 ago. Perhaps this was a sign that the anime industry didn't learn well from the mistakes of the past. All about the money and less about the efforts of the people. If there ever was a reboot, make this again with better animation than what we have seen right now, time is needed to fix these errant issues. |

| Jesus christ. This is like the 4th anime this season to get a delay. I understand a week or two delay but 3 MONTHS??? I may as well just drop and forget about it. Thats an entire anime season length. Sucks even more since its the last two episodes of the series. I never saw this "drop in quality" that people are saying so to find this out is fustrating. Oh well guess Im forgetting about this. Shame it was getting good as well. |

| It's the same situation that happened to Girls und Panzer when it aired on October 2012 in that they aired the last 2 episodes on March 2013 because of Actas' production delays. |

I wonder what could have caused this? probably just TV airing schedule since you cannot just freely set a date when TV channels already have a lot of planned future shows for that timeslot so im sure they will not take months to just animate this last 2 episodes since anime production works ahead of TV schedule anyway but they still delayed it because of some unlucky production schedule problems im sure and the production problems shows anyway with lots of people complaining at least about the bad still frames |

| I honestly think this is commendable. Personally, my reception on the quality of this series has been acceptable to good, depending. Especially for a mobile game adaptation, I think they did a fine job up to this point. I see a lot of dramatic people disagree with this, that it's just horrible, but I emphatically disagree, I think the worst I could say about it is that it's fine. Nothing amazing, not awful, just fine. That being said - the fact that they are delaying the finale to improve it, as well as (so i've heard) re-airing the rest of the series with improvements, shows to me that this studio really gives a shit about what the final product they put out is. This is their first production. We all know that. It's obvious that they've had production and schedule problems. Their inexperience shows in those ways, but in other ways their ambition shows too. They could easily have just gotten through this and moved on, but instead, it's clear they're really giving it their best to polish it up. Honestly, and not to derail the conversation, but there are plenty of other shows that SHOULD have had their studios delay and/or completely re-do an entire series, but didn't have the stones to do it. Looking at you, JC Staff for One Punch Man Season 2. So I'm really impressed with Bibury that they would acknowledge that what they've put out was not of the quality they wanted, and actually take the time to improve it, rather than just getting it over with. So, I'm fine with this. Happy about it even. I'll get to re-watch the show as an improved version, and then get a final two episodes with extra time in the oven. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. |

Either way, this is probably not the right decision since people are going to forget about it and only the hardcore Azur Lane fans are going to watch the final two episodes. Rebroadcasting the whole series might help, but I still think it's going to end up like Fate/Extra where most people have moved on and don't care about the show anymore. |

MAL itself defines "fine" as 6/10, which is actually a little below what this show is currently rated on MAL. In my personal opinion, I don't think the show has been bad and I think the people rating it 1/10, 2/10, 3/10 are being dramatic. It is not that bad. It's not the worst show that's ever been produced, it's not even close to being the worst thing this season. Conversely, this is definitely not a 8/10, 9/10, 10/10 show, and anyone rating it as such is being biased and unrealistic. A studio's work can be both average, and below the studio's own standards. They didn't want to put out (continue putting out?) an average/suboptimal last two episodes (and presumably want to improve the existing episodes), hence the delay. Just because they want to improve it, doesn't inherently mean that it's awful. I hope that makes sense. |

| personaly I had no problem with the animation quality, I think the quality was supperb, it's not a Ufotable that's for sure, there were few bad frames here & there but I don't mind it, I don't pixel count when I watch an anime, I care 10 times more about the story than about animation quality, or in case of Azur Lane.. since there isn't much of a story I care more about fanservice than few bad frames, give me huge tits & I will give you a 9/10 or 10/10. anyway I'm just waiting for the BD release, hopefully we will see some nipples in that bath scene. |

The animation quality was factually bad lol. you can't think it was superb when it was unarguably bad.  there was a lot of frames like this. it's not "pixel counting". Pixel counting would be complaining about the resolution, which was the same as every other anime (720 upscaled to 1080 at best) |
