Damn, that hotpot meal made me hungry just watching it. Also, the cow jokes lol

I'm so glad to see more of Zina in this show. She's definitely becoming my favorite character out of the cast now. Such an mischievous and fun character to watch. The on stage weightlifting and muscle flexing is so priceless.

Zina found out the truth and it wasn't something Satomi was expecting but it seems they had fun together.
The girls certainly made an impression during their audition tho it wasn't what the judges where looking for.
It was funny to watch tho.

The word "Blyad" is a very strong curse word. Usually, this word is used in real life talk only by trashy people aka Bydlo and in net-talk. Seeing the use of this word by a Moscow schoolgirl in kinda real life talk is hell on my ears, very little chance for this to happen in real life. This should've been replaces with Blin or Chyort vozmi.
Also use of tovaristch makes no sense since it's not 1917-1991, the word Tovaristch or Comrade is used by equal people of the working class(proletariat) in every Marxist-Leninist groups. She clearly belongs to a generation of kids born post 2000 and these people are 95% brainwashed by western consumeralism culture(we can see it by her lack of education(looking for Hong Kong in Japan), the education system in Russia was destroyed by idiotic reforms).

Learning about Japan from Jackie Chan movies lmao.

Imagine all the vegans that got triggered by this episode. Luckily I don't have trouble to get my calories in xD

And wtf was with this idol performance? XD Lol at Machios role as knowledgeable spectator. Love this sports anime trope. Nice dead.

Machio dress as a cow? I wanna milk him! He'd produce high-protein milk for sure.
Also another character from Kengan Ashura appear as pro wrestler. This is so much fun because they're airing in the same season. I hope there'll be crossover episode (manga already done that).

Yeah, apparently the whole cyka blyad meme talk is considered suuuuper rude amongst native speakers. The Russians and Ukrainians I studied with last year found it riddiculous how casually it was used by non-native speakers. Their advice was to never use the term amongst other Russians unless I wanted to get my face punched since it can easily be pereceived out of context and as a direct insult.

Lol, that was quite the idol audition! ‘Normal’ really is the way to go xD, quite the life check for the Director it seems. Machio acting as an inconspicuous spectator, totally lol.

Some gold Zina and Tachibana-sensei moments this episode, I’d a feeling for sure she’d be in to the cosplay/idol world and she’s absolutely right in the heat of it! Hilarious that she learned about Japanese Culture from Jackie Chan Movies though, lmao, and those Geographical mistakes were pretty ridiculous too. Looks like the misunderstandings behind Hibiki’s strength continues, and poor Hibiki for not knowing of the free gold ticket.

Damn, I was really shocked when Tachibana-sensei admitted to cosplaying borderline pornography xD. Let alone teacher life, I think many more aspects of her life would be endangered. No wonder why she begged Zina like that.

Interesting info on food and active exercising this episode too. Looks like it’ll lateral raise for the day.

The perceived strength of Russian curse words has diminished over the past few decades. Casual swearing can be heard everywhere from titty bars to top universities. That includes schools. I've heard way worse than "blyat" from my female classmates.

It's a safe assumption than the overwhelming majority of Japanese readers (of the source material) don't understand Russian beyond what they may have heard playing CS:GO, and I don't think it makes them stupid.

Zina's more of a collective image image of russians. This is comedy. "Blyat"(a correct way to spell the word btw) and "Comrade" are firmly attached to this image. They're used only for comedic effect. There were no attempt or even an intention of a correct representation of russians.

Well, actually "Blyat" or Блять isn't the right way to write it, people just don't do the accent on d and it sounds like t. Some people think that there is a word "Blyat" but there is only "Blyad" and d should be stronger and sound more menacing.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with Funimation? When they first introduced Zina in the last episode they used her correct name but then changed it to Zina "Boyd" later in the same episode. And now they're calling her Gina. Like I said last time, they're already doing a horrible job with Machikado Mazoku, but now it's spreading to this anime as well. Fucking hell...

Does anyone know if there's a proper fansub releasing this anime? Because if there isn't I'm gonna drop this shit and stick to the manga. If there's one thing that can completely ruin my mood when watching anime is bad translations.

Edit: nevermind, I looked at Nyaa and found some fansubs who are using an edited version of Funi's script. Gonna go with them instead of the usual releases I download.

I really liked this episode, it gave us the opportunity to get to know Zina better and personally she seemed very funny to me, learning Japanese with Jackie Chan movies makes a lot of sense coming from Zina, even though she is completely wrong.

At last we know where Hibiki works and being honest I expected it to be in a restaurant, but I didn't think it would be her brother's restaurant. Hibiki looks so cute as a waitress and I adore her twintails hairstyle.
The section of Machio this week was in the direction of nutrition accompanied by Satomi sensei, who explained which cuts of beef are the healthiest and most beneficial to maintain an optimal physical state, the funniest thing was that both adults were dressed as cows
This section of the episode had what I love most about the anime, cute girls eating delicious things, it is too satisfying to seeing the faces of the girls enjoying delicious food and in this case, this group did not stay behind, but the one that stole the screen obviously was Hibiki, she looks extremely adorable enjoying her lunch, that face full of happiness for eating was so cute.

I found it totally surprising that of all the girls, it was Zina who discovered that Satomi is actually the cosplayer Yulia Riko, I laughed a lot about how Satomi reacted by being discovered, the poor sensei believed that her life was over, but fortunately for her Zina is a really good girl and just asked her to go for a walk together, Zina's happy face is worth it and most importantly Satomi can relax a little.
Zina's explanation about "active rest" was very instructive and will personally help me a lot. Machio and his sixth muscular sense was very funny, his muscles feel when they talk about exercising.
So Zina's real goal was to become an Idol, I didn't expect it, but I laughed a lot when she formed her group of Idols with Hibiki, Akemi, Ayaka and Satomi.
No doubt a different group of Idols and they left the public euphoric, especially because they were wearing bikinis, nice choice. Ayaka vs Zina should have had more screentime, I would have liked to enjoy that moment more and Hibiki doing a set of bench press at full power was intense.
But who closed this audition was Satomi with her Deadlift, Machio also had his moment when he explained how the Deadlift should be done correctly. Satomi looks so cool doing the deadlift and she gets intense applause from the public, it is a shame that the girls did not win, personally they would have been a success like Idols, especially for the acceptance by the public and seeing the faces of the girls full of satisfaction for their audition worth it.

Zina, despite her Russian origin, says she learnt Japanese through Jackie Chan...that's just hilarious! Girl, you got the wrong culture!

Dat beef explanation with Satomi-sensei and Machio in cowsuits, that's nice. What's worse to Hibiki is that Akemi's family sponsors for her money woes, so hearing that is a relief for her insane habits we've seen so far.

BUT OH SHIT did Zina catch on Satomi-sensei's cosplaying side job (dat Chun Li outfit) and the notion of active and passive rest is very informative for those who want to exercise on the go. And her competitiveness into becoming an idol...that's a lot to take!

The idol segment...was everything this episode needed. Satomi-sensei with her alias "Fuck the Budo", I just can't...LMAO xD Plus the entire idol show becomes a spectator for the people, a marketing stunt for Silverman Gym. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE, and a funny episode in the books.
