THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Man, this episode was kinda creepy. Not just Mei's heel turn behavior but that Tsukikage members are bound to a chair as prisoners. That freaky robot though On the contrary, I'm glad the girls got out of that mess even though it seemed hopeless at first. The counterattack begins! One more episode left and I hope this show does something special. It's been a wild ride so far honestly. |

I am having mixed feelings towards this episode. For example, I am still hoping that Mei is acting but maybe she is a real traitor. However, the episode outcome is simple and could be better. For me, this mission could be a test for the mentees, maybe I am wrong but I am hoping that. |

That was fucking dark. I assumed it would be but was hoping for... Not dark.Deep inside I wanted things to have a happy ending for everyone. That just isn't gonna happen. But damn if this isn't good. Maybe not perfect, but as a popcorn anime, I love it. I can also openly admit I was wrong about all of the deaths being real. |

Mei sure looked jolly as she revealed the extent of her betrayal. It was amusing in how they turned the tables on their torturer. Despite their grief its good that Momo and the team were able to recover their wits. Lol Momo ambushed the ambushers. The gearing up scene was nice. Its great that Yuki managed to survive the trap. The mission to stop Mouryou's plan sure got complicated quickly but it did give Goe and Mei the opportunity to take on Thersia and Mei. Thersia sure had a sad fate though. The fight between Mei and Fuu though was more interesting given their attitudes. The reveal of the flower sure was pretty impressive as was the backing music. A pretty impressive episode that featured some great action and tension that did well in setting the stage for an explosive finale next week. Still curious about Mei's actions though. |

After seeing the evidence presented here and on Reddit, I'm starting to wonder if Mei is a) working for a third party or b) is just chaotic neutral and given the chance would also turn on her new "friends". It just seems that Mei being a double agent relies too heavily on luck and coincidences. Although that screenshot posted in this topic leads me to believe she actually is up to something. I would almost argue this is a set up to make Mei the next main villain, but that also implies a second season which we probably won't get. At least not soon. |

Wow, the torture robot was pretty disturbing in a cute way... Yuki pulled a nice move as well. Goe needs her own spinoff, the way she wrecks shit is amazing lol. I don't think Theresia is dead, Hatsume probably got to ther in the last moment. They will enter as a duo next episode in a pinch or something to save the day. Holy shit, that's a nice catch! Also, since the 3 apprentices remained then the 3 masters are probably on it together with this whole secret plan. |

Still spoiler maybe Idk, yeah it may mean something, but they also mentioned the equipment there was quite old. And sorry to come with real life logic (I mean obviously 90% of anything happening here is not possible IRL), in just a moment how could she have screwed off one and a half screws barehanded? It really seemed just a touch, there weren't really any gestures to imply she was doing anything at all. But yeah, they couldn't show anything obvious, or it would have ruined the potential surprise. |

For those who think Theresia is dead, keep in mind that Hatsume is still missing. I highly suspect next episode we will get a reveal that she swooped in and saved her last second before she died, and Byakko and Katarina will show up next episode with plan to stop the giant flower. |

Really? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Well aren't this getting lot more interesting than it should be? but damn if theresia is all dead. more point outs: 1. Why did mei didn't kill fuu in the first place? 2. Mei acts obvious (imo) when she is flirting with tendo that she only care about the information on how gekkako project will be occur 3. Seems like yuki aren't escaping alone, despite how they bond in the past, she gives a cold shoulder towards the fact that they catch hatsume is dead by the ocean and she doesn't say a word about it (hint that maybe the three mentors are linking with each other spreading lies just to stop mouryo) |

Although that screenshot posted in this topic leads me to believe she actually is up to something. Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I mean they all need the devil's luck just to get out of this mess alive, so I doubt this would have been a big plan the mentors were working on together in secret. maybe spoiler So it could have been Mei's solo action since maybe she thought their original plan wasn't effective enough in bringing Moryo down. We don't know too much about her past, she could have a reason she really wants to see all of Moryo bite the dust, even at the cost of heavy casualties (but still if its possible she wants to keep Fuu safe, since she was her mentor and all). One of my biggest concerns last episodes was that by leaking everyone's personal data, all of them and the rest of their families will be in danger for the rest of their lifes, if they cannot eradicate Moryo completely (the last time they couldn't), but if she goes the extra mile to make sure of it, then "nobody will know the info if there's nobody to know". |

Uhm.... I'm not fully convinced, they are going to take the easy way out and write Mei as a double traitor, secretly helping Tsukikage(This plan was the only way to get close and destroy Moryou) Top bad because ep.10 was awesome What happened with the animation I'm not saying that the show should get dark and have Real Deaths, but it's kind of a problem when we perfectly know that certain characters won't die and it should try to achieve some kind of emotional payoff or conflict, but I am asking too much from something that it's only "MindLess Entertainment" |

The counterattack has begun. It was frustrating how Mei mocked to the girls and mentioned how she betrayed them. For a moment I thought they would torture the girls, but it's good that Momo calmed down and managed to escape in time, but it's a pity that we do not know if Katrina, Byakko, Hatsume and Yuuki are alive, it was also quite disheartening to see the girls cry for the loss of her mentors and Mei's betrayal. The girls calm down and begin to plan the counterattack against Moryo, thanks to the pieces of information that Mei says when they were prisoners, after looking for their families and safeguarding them in a safe place, the girls start moving to their target, but they see that the The car they use comes towards them and Yuuki appears from it, who thankfully survived thanks to her ability. I'm surprised how quickly Mei adapted to Moryo and her new boss, seeing her dressed as a bunny girl made me forget for a moment that she had betrayed Tsukikage. The girls initiate the attack and are intercepted by Theresia, but Goe stays to confront her, later Mei crosses them on the way and Fuu decides to confront her mentor. Goe defeats Theresia and offers to join them, but Tendo appears and gets rid of Theresia, Fuu is chased away by Mei who flees after leaving several bombs. In the end the girls realize they were in the wrong place and Moryo starts the Gekkakou operation. There is only one episode left and things are very difficult for the girls of Tsukikage, if Mei is really a double agent, i hope she take action and help her friends, but if her betrayal is already something absolute, I hope that Fuu gives her a Good beating and straighten up her mentor. |

yeah i had to play back that scene too when i saw the bolt loose the framing of the shot had me guessing she might've helped but it was too quick to tell i mean who else other than Goe could easily breakout, i'm still holding on to hope shes doing a bang up job of being a traitor but that almost torture scene could've been real fucked up glad most of the girls made it so far i'm hopping they held back on the animation quality for the big finale i need some good action like the Goe maifa raid |

A very good episode, Depressed Momo was able to get up and push Goe and Fu to get up too. As expected, when Yuki was cut down, he avoided a fatal attack, but Yuki was brilliant he used equipment that could blind the eyes to be used to trick other people's eyesight. Yuki was also assisted by the police who came. So, Mei indeed be the traitor. May girl matre, she cheated on Fu. (lol) Theresia dead? 50:50 Katrina and Byakko are probably still alive because their bodies were not found which means they are still alive. Hatsume? Mmmmmm I hope Mei isn't a double agent, I want to see a tragic end. Wkwkwk |

Considering how great the last episode was, I thought the action in this one would intensify. Instead we got half ass fights that were a bit predictable, like we know Theresia will not die and will join Hatsume and the gang in the end. The only good thing about this episode is Yuki coming back, I really like her very and knew she wouldn't be slayed like that. Mei really pisses off so badly, I hate traitors with a passion. The first scenes with the spies being held captive, was quite dark... Poor Momo and Yui, they have it so rough. Momo's face was just depressing to see :/ I am actually glad they got their mojo back after a short while. That robot was just straight out creepy af! Goe's strength is just impressive beyond words. Yuki is alive, thank god! Mei in a bunny suit is quite the sight though! Good eye. I have hope again! |

The penultimate episode for the finale...but it really just felt like any other episode that serves as a preparation more than anything else. Animation seems a bit cut too, as (also) preparation. Yuki makes a "spies are liars" comeback, which is nice. Meanwhile, Theresia is still having second thoughts about Hatsume...and then the pair fights start, only to end off too quick, and half-assedly slashed to death. It is quite clear that Mei is super enthusiastic about the plan...or is it Tendo, or something else? So now, how will Tsukikage aim to stop the entire operation? That's for the final episode. It's an OK episode at best. |

Well, that was a thing. I knew Yuki would come back but the way she survived surprised me. Now we just need to see Hatsume and the rest make a return. Now, after what we've seen in this episode(especially with those two screen shots), allow me to further explain why I still don't think Mei is really a traitor. 1. Going back to that scene where Mei drinks the gelatin after revealing herself, a real traitor would have at least asked about that it was yet she didn't. Instead she drank it right away without hesitation. This tells me two things. Either she was told about the gelatin before hand or she didn't care enough to question it. However, I find this very unlikely. If she was really in this for the money, as she claims, I'm pretty she would want to enjoy herself without being held back because Mouryo said so. So I still believe that Mei took some kind of injection to prevent the gelatin from taking after what Hatsume discovered through Theresia. 2. Mei acting as the traitor feels way too forced. Seriously, the way she kept buttering up to Tendo and Mouryo's ideals was almost making me cringe. And then later on she asks Tendo this question: "So, about that vital Project Gekkado, how are you going to scatter the drug?" Now, unless this is a mistranslation, what kind of traitor would ask a question like that? Sure, you could argue that maybe she was only asking out of curiosity and wants to see the world burn or whatever but if I'm the traitor why should I care about how a drug gets dispersed just as long as it happens? 3. If Mei was serious about being a traitor she would have killed Fuu and Momo right there on the spot. That entire fight felt like Mei was deliberately holding back and then she escapes by throwing out a bunch of grenades. This is completely out of character for her and Fuu seems to know it due to that confused look on her face after that fight. As a "former" Tsukikage member, their goal is to finish the mission/job no matter what. Why would Mei not kill Fuu and the others? Because she still loves her student and wants to share her goals with her? Sorry, but I don't buy that one bit. 4. Notice how Yuki didn't say anything about Mei's betrayal. Now you could say it probably wasn't the time for it but I still find it rather odd that they didn't at the very least mention it because... wouldn't that one of the first things you want to talk about after seeing your mentor alive again? And Yuki said it best, "Spies are liars.". Who's to say Mei isn't lying her way through Mouryo? So there you have, me still believing that there never was a traitor. Speaking as someone who's done acting myself, I can tell from personal experience that Mei seems to be playing the traitor and she's doing a terrible job at it and I'm quite surprised Tendo didn't picked up on it especially with the one question Mei asked her. I'm sure when the finale comes up all will be revealed. |
DirectorKDec 15, 2018 8:15 PM
"You talk too much. Think too much." "I don't care how justified you think your reasons are. I won't tolerate liars or thieves." "If you're not going to be nice to me, don't expect me to be nice to you." "I'm a soldier, not a superhero. Don't ever think of me as one." "The world doesn't revolve around you. Get that through your thick skull." "People who live by their emotions go nowhere in their lives. They only find misery. "If you don't like the way your life is than do something about it instead of sitting there feeling sorry for yourself." "You want something go get it. Period." |

So, yeah as predcted probably all the heroines will be saved. I guess that Theresia will also have some magic there at the end and the rest fo the team will be up for the final showdown. But why did Goe-chan not subdue Theresia there and put her into custody? That was a move destined for drama. But at least this episode did all the key elements to hypen up for the last episode. Still Moryo could have done everything way easier and precise. I also think that Mei will be betrayed, given that the main baddy is at another place and all the moneybags are at ONE place. Surely no evil guy will ever use this to their advantage... Liddo-kun said: I'm almost certain Theresia will survive. If the storywriters want her dead.. Tendo would have just cut the head off. I don't think that any heroine can die here. This anime is too light for this. I guess that Hatsume will save Theresia and Mei is actually a double spy, because of what she did with the chair and the fact that she wants to know everything about Moryou. The episode was kinda meh, average ending with the "people don't die if they are killed" and forced happy ending. |

Man, how easy a bunny costume can turn off braincells this season. Must be the chinese year of the bunny girl. Well, I already stopped wondering about the preferences of most MAL user, but still... However theres again one thing I'm baffled by in retrospect of the episode. So, Yuki was slashed across the abdomen with a sword which lead to some amount of bloodloss, which didnt make her pass out, but weak. At least. And according to her it wasn't deep, so probably no muscles were severed, that explains why she could still walk upright. However there are two problems left: One; when Momo hugged her that must've been very painfull, but she didn't even flinch. And two; why was she having a crutch? If her abdominal muscles were damaged, even a crutch would not help that way, because she still needed to stand upright. And besides the wound was on the other side, so the crutch would be even more pointless... |

inosek said: forced happy ending. I don't think the ending will be forced, Tsukikage clearly outplayed the Moryou here. I think all 3 mentors working together behind the scenes, and it's also a test for the students if they can survive on their own, they'll most likely graduate in the last episode. Both Mei and Yuki plays their role nicely, and the students' attack on Kyuten Science just serves for disruption until Hatsume and Katrina shuts down the flower machine. Also it was funny how quickly Mei switched between her kunoichi custome and bunny girl custome. Or maybe she wears the kunoichi custome under her bunny girl custome...? |
