THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Pretty intense finale. It pretty much went all in with the action and the Hero Club trying to help Yuuki.

One thing that impressed me about this episode is the human emotions especially during that embrace scene with the music. Really goes to show how much friends care about each other.

Overall, I think this was a neat experience for Yuuki Yuuna. A bit predictable but I'm fine with it in the end.

Best outcome possible. No more Taisha, no more pedo tree god, no more Amaterusu, Yuna's alive and the futureof humanity can be dictated by the power of said humanity.

10/10!

The episode was intense. Though everything of the god perishes along with certain beliefs. I think this was the best outcome for humanity to decide what is bound to happen. There will be chaos and corruption. But that does not mean it is the end. Humanity will continue as long they can work things out.

Yuna transformation and no more Taisha or protection of a god, now humanity will decide the future.
I guess that would be best.

I am genuinely surprised Karin didn't die. She triggered about a gazillion Gin deathflags in about 30 seconds.

Why did only Yuuna get the Shinju (or past heroes?) power? They were together in that cocoon with Tougou. Not like it matters, since the gods are dead now anyways. At least, i hope the heavenly gods are dead, because otherwise humanity will be pretty fucked, considering the Shinju definitely died.

A post-apocalyptic world sequel sounds extremely interesting.

Overall, a very good season. Now, reading the LNs is in order, hopefully they can help improve my understanding of the YuYuYu franchise because sometimes i can't help feeling confused about what is going on.

I'm actually a bit surprised we got a happy ending...

Was really expecting that grim ending, especially when we got the cut of Fu seemingly unconscious(?) or dead and Yuuna dying.

I haven't started on KuMeYu, but I think now's a good time as any. Wonder if this is the end of the series though, cause I'm not sure where we could go from here since Shjinju-sama was pretty much the source of their power. And are we really sure that humanity will even be left alone? Lotsa questions... Guess only time will tell when and if we get more spin-offs and installments of the series.
In any case, it's sad seeing another story in the series come to a close. It was nice seeing all the girls develop over the course of the first season and especially this season with Karin and Itsuki.

My girls finally got that happy ending they've been fighting for

And with that Hero Chapter end. Though is it really the end? Will there any other invasion? Or will there going to be another chaos? Only time will tell.

Anyway the scene where Hero spirit appearing starting from Gin to Wakaba is really touching. Like saying they entrusting the world to them.

Really a finale worth waiting two week for. Now if there is another thing that lack it is NoWaYu anime announcement at the end.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

I hope humanity will develop as far as they need to protect themselves against a possible invasion of other gods.
Glad that none of the girls (after Gin) died in the end. Really intense final episode, I hope we can get an OVA or something about them after all this fighting. Wouldn't mind just a SoL episode since they're now united again. (Let's enjoy Kagawa life!)

Determine Shinju & Taisha (the role of each parties') to be good or bad can tell how much you understand the series surrounding I guess. Many has exacerbate them because their method is "evil" to the human eye(us), but their role was actually clear in one purpose.

Feels like a bland End of Evangelion ripoff that turns it into a happy ending.

Bunch of faceless religious fanatics got their instrumentality with wheat, uniting with their god, about two minutes before their god died. Yuki Yuna kills the great enemy, world suddenly opens. We also got the hug the tsundere ending vs. strangle the tsundere ending.

This was actually the kind of ending I was expecting. I've read enough interviews with Takahiro/Kishi/Uezu to understand that no matter how bad the situation gets for the hero club, at the end of the day for this group a happy ending is the one they deserve.

If I was to review this ending from a critical point of view then I could pick it apart and complain about missed story opportunities or things they could have done better imo; but screw objectivity and screw being critical these girls are too precious and this happy ending is all I could have asked for from an emotional level.

This arc might have been even better had it been 12 episodes but at the end of the day I am left satisfied with what Yuusha no Shou gave me. It had some of the best moments out of all the Yuusha de Aru franchise imo and the ride was incredibly tense for the past 7 weeks (thanks xmas break).

The ending still leaves potential for future developments too if they wish to pursue them, but it is also a great end point if this is where Takahiro is going leave things.

I'm thankful for this franchise for the emotional pummeling it's made be go through in anime and LN formats, I'll be looking forward for more content of this project when it comes.

Hmmm... I guess I'm in the minority here in thinking this was a pretty underwhelming ending. Not bad, just... underwhelming. For me, this was the weakest of the three chapters, I think they tried to go too big for the short 6 episode runtime they had available. Some parts felt a little rushed, and it all came down to the rather tired trope of "the louder I yell, THE STRONGER I GET!" without much of anything to really make the victory feel earned... Granted, YuYuYu did a little of that too, but it didn't feel as overplayed or unearned there. And the middle of the episode gave me some End of Evangelion vibes I didn't care for...

But overall, it wasn't bad, just... didn't feel as epic as they wanted it to be.

Geez, I've had so many flashbacks of Gin when Karin got attacked, I didn't even know how to react. I had a feeling that Karin or Sonoko would get hurt or die, but thankfully they were fine.
I found it to be a really good ending, I wasn't expecting for Shinju-sama to sacrifice himself in order to give a chance for humanity to fight on their own.
I'm so glad Yuuna and the girls are fine and happy. Really hoping that NoWaYu gets an adaptation to anime, or, maybe, we get a third season, I'm really curious about what Takahiro-sensei could bring next.

Yay, happy end. Pretty sure this season left a bit of disappointment with being only 6 episodes, and it seems to have low production value. No new animation for OP, more CG compared to 1st season, etc. I wonder if studio Gokumi were more focused on animating 2 cour Toji no Miko.

With 12 episode they could provide more, like Yuuna's dilemma, or the hero club preparing their mental and counting the days before the heavenly god comes with each character getting a focus.

Nevertheless it's still a satisfying ending. The spirits of heroes from the past was really an epic scene, and the BGM was great. Shinju did not prolong its own life, but instead entrusted the future to the humans.

Now I want my season 3 with peaceful SoL with the girls, lol. Ok, I think sequel is almost impossible, and this season proofs to be a success(wasuyu cinema ticket, 7k bd sold in cinemas, 5.8k wasuyu bdbox), so I guess if they decide to make more anime, they'd make Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha de Aru. They referenced that a lot too in this season.

Overall 8/10. While this part could be the weakest, it's by no means bad. It also delivers a happy ending. Glad that my yuushas are smiling happily.

I didn't pay enough attention before but actually the spirits designs revealed some of the heroes spirits' identity. Nice. (pic below for those who read NoWaYu)

Chikage: that flower ornament on her hair
Anzu: that weird side hair
Tamako: Spiky hair
Wakaba: the shape is pretty clear
etc

enjoyable sequel minus all the suffering the imaginary was on another scale for this finale the visuals were insane.

im okay with this ending everything felt like a bad ending up till the final moments which pretty much lead to a very bittersweet end like shits fucked but were gonna survived the best we can without the protection, curious to see how it would've been if they failed.

also nier sounding music a big plus knew it was great from the first season but having a reference for it now just makes it even better.

Yup. And in case they adapt NoWaYu, most viewers who haven't read the novel would assume that the explanation was for Yuusha no Shou's sake :D -which rather looks fabricated T_T

another rushed ending. Did they just ax Kumeyu? No way the series is actually over though. Anyone knows that Kagutsuchi theory on 4chan. Apparently the Demon King puppet show in 1st episode of Season 1 foreshadowed that they will defeat the fire god kagutsuchi first, then the actual big bad Tsukuyomi, ruler of the night next. At the back of Yuuna is Amaterasu's symbol, the ruler of the heavenly gods helped them. The gist of it is that Tsukuyomi defeated Amaterasu or something along those lines, turning the heavenly gods evil. So yeah the story is not over. Go watch the beginning of Season 1.
I'm having trouble on what score to give this season.

I liked this ending even though I usually despise happy endings. The Hero Club deserved to be happy after all the shit that they went through. It just confused me why it was only Yuuna who got Shinju's powers. Maybe it had something to do with the original Yuuna? We need the prequel adapted!

This final is actually a treat for those who read NoWaYu. If you look at the heroes' spirits design, all of Wakaba's team are there, even Chikage. Utano maybe (not clear), also possibly Natsume (from Mobage).

Nah
I think Tsukuyomi is the one who help yuuna and amaterasu is their enemy
The flame eye is amaterasu (amaterasu is the sun god) and the black/white is tsukuyomi
When karin use mankai we can see tsukuyomi attack amaterasu with light beams
And in last punch tsukuyomi symbol appear behind yuuna back

Honestly I don't think they could've had a way better ending than this. Pretty much everything they've been working towards to be solved makes me so happy for them. Since I don't see it mentioned here, I'mma briefly summarize an interesting set of low-key details that paint an interesting background narrative, but I've only seen the anime so maybe this is already obvious or outright wrong.

In ep 5, Aki at one point says that "those of stronger faith" will join Shinjyu. She never elaborates on that, but it seems to suggest those who don't have strong faith will not be saved by the marriage, and there's evidence that's the case. Later in the ep, it's heavily suggested that Aki does not fully agree with Taisha's plan (including dejectedly psyching herself up with "what benefits the maximum number of people" mentality), and by extension her faith in Shinjyu may be compromised; in the finale, she starts to undergo ascension but it stops at just an eye, and there are 4 other Taisha who don't ascend, suggesting the faith threshold is quite high if even several Taisha don't have enough faith to be saved.

With that in mind, who was the first spirit to appear to stop the wedding and fight on as humans? It was Gin. What are some of the most memorable parts about Gin? Her extreme dedication to her family is probably one of the first things to come to mind, right? I mean, her family was the only one to get significant attention, she was flashbacking to them during her last stand (while also saying things about humanity that parallel what Yuna says in the finale), and the show actively makes a big deal about how hard she works for them. If some of the Taisha didn't have enough faith to be saved, do you think her 3-y-o baby bro stood a chance? What about her middle bro, who was last seen screaming disrespectful things about Shinjyu at her funeral?

Food for thought for a potential background narrative.

So, basically no more gods on either side, right? First the outer gods came to pick a fight and got punched by Yuuna, after which we saw Shinju's area expand to the outside as well, then Shinju went away as well. Well, gods or no gods, it's not like the people had to rely on them for anything except protection of the world before either. May be weird for them to get used to the Shinju they worshiped for so long to be gone, but at least the war is over now.

Actually, the Shinju had been blessing the land with most of their needs, from food to even fossil fuels. Shikoku is no small island, but it was far from self-sufficient. One can imagine there will be times of struggle ahead, but of course, things are still far better than before.

The end did not disappoint. 10/10 for the music. The episode went by so fast...

Happy ending as expected. Friendship saves the day again, I guess.
Only Karin can get me to tear up... that apology of hers at the end got me.

I feel like 6 episodes wasn't really enough to develop the curse. It also meant there wasn't enough action. But still, satisfying ending. And it seems like this really is the end, since the "gods" are no more.

8/10 (very good) Same as the rest.
