The city in chaos! This was intense. I admit, the episode itself already had a tense feeling with Stain loose but also the villians are in town too.

Nice to see more of Iida's past especially between him and his brother.

Deku's entrance this episode was nothing short of epic. A punch to Stain's face!
Good action this episode. I love how they animated some of the fight scenes between the heroes and Stain. It's great to even see Todoroki showing up to fight.

Yes, the fight with Hero Killer Stain has at last begun in earnest! And while that appropriately remains the focus I should first give a quick shout out to badass Gran Torino fighting that Nomu. And I enjoyed his interactions with the bemused Endeavor. But if Endeavor is on the scene then...well anyway, while Deku rushes to reach Iida the emotionally unstable youth gets taken down pretty easily by Stain. I loved Stain's mini-lecture about Iida's blind rage and lack of heroism. Failing to notice an obvious rescue opportunity. But just as despair begins to set-in it's Young Midoriya on the scene with a clean hit! Now Deku's got his hero priorities straight. Something Stain somewhat humorously realizes. Deku showed off some impressive movements in their brief tussle, but it wasn't enough. And he too falls prey to Stain's strange, paralyzing blade. Not all is lost however as Young Todoroki has arrived! Can the three now work together to take down Stain? What will Young Iida do?

Great episode. Hosu City is in complete chaos. Those Nomu's are insanely strong & don't care who gets hurt.

Deku getting use to using One for All: Full Cowl. Love how fast he jumps around. That smash to Stain was awesome.

Bloodcurdle quirk is quite interesting. YEAH Todoroki to the rescue as well. Nice to see he resolved his issue with his Mom & is able to use his fire side now.

Nice teamwork going on. Come on Iida it's time to stand up & fight.

I love how we get some really good moments in this episode for all the boys. Midoriya can finally fight without destroying his body, lida realizes that he was too obsessed with revenge and Todoroki's inner thoughts and actions show us just how far he's come since the tournament.

Good stuff.

Amazing episode, so intense and so emotional at the same time. Absolutely stunning adaptation of the events.

I started tearing up as Iida was remembering his brother while being stabbed by Stain. :(
Midoriya entrance was epic as hell. I don't know man, just watching Midoriya fight against Stain makes me tear up, the kid's come a long way and his heroism is what I'll always love about him. T.T

Stain sure is doing a number on Iida by making him reflect on his motivation as a hero and the fact that he's blinded by rage and ultimately questioning his lack of heroism. In contrast both Deku and Todorki are focused more on protecting Iida and the other person.

Todoroki using Fire was super awesome, great animation as always and the action was amazing overall. Not to mention the stunning soundtrack use.
I love the incorporation of Todroki's post Sports Festival events and how his past self being blinded as rage is both used as a parallel to Iida's own situation and also drives Todoroki himself to help out Iida. The part where he yells at Iida to get up was so damn emotional, heck the entire episode was emotional, I'd be lying if I didn't watch at least half the episode without tears in my eyes. XD

It's not over yet, Stain might be getting serious and if he does, Will our UA boys stand a chance against such a foe? Can't wait for the next episode.

Phenomenal episode with a cruel cliffhanger ;_;

Todoroki's development has been so damn amazing this season. Seeing him fight alongside Midoriya had me fanboying.

Stain was completely spot on about Iida. He definitely wasn't acting very heroic at all.

Todoroki has grown on me a lot since the first season, really. After being stuborn during the whole tournamment arc, eh has finally came in terms with himself and has taken a more pragmatic approach, learning all he can from his father even if he still hates him and using his fire side finally. Good character development.

The battle against Stain was cool and I'm glad it will be longer than one episode, it reminds me of those battle shounens where fights lasted two episodes or more. Nowadays everything is resolved in one episode at best.
Btw, respect for Deku, he was awesome too.

Stain himself looks like a decent villain, but there is something than irks me a bit. Unlike Shigaraki and his peers, who are a bunch of assholes trying to cause harm to the world for shits and jiggles, he is more like an anti villain who wants to change the society for the best by getting rid of the people he considers unworthy of being an hero. I see his point, but, then, why he targeted Iida's brother of all people?
I know he mentioned this episode he wanted to make him an example to get himself known to the world, but it's a bit strange he precisely injured a model hero like Ingenium, who, as it was shown in this episode, was loved by the people around him, was humble and actually cared for the people he saved. I could understand he would have defeated him if Ingenium would have been an asshole, a person being an hero just to gain profit, a revenge seeker (like Iida) or something like that, but the thing is he wasn't any of those things, and was close to someone like All Might (whom Stain seems to respect) than heroes of the likes of Endeavor. Why then beat him where he could had trageted a much worse victim? Maybe he defeated Ingenium because he was weak in his eyes? I don't know.

God, I have no words for how awesome this anime is. The episode is great. I loved how it showed how much Midoriya and Todoroki grew as heros.

But I also finally took time to watch the current ending. I absolutely adore it. This little Zero-to-Hero fantasy story is awesome. I love how it portrays all characters. Especially Bakugo as this barbarian dragon-rider. So cool. xD

This episode really helps to highlight exactly how much Todoroki and Midoriya have grown throughout the season - particularly Todoroki, seeing as he willingly chose to do his work experience with his dad and can finally at through his pent up resentment. Having Iida as a foil, who was driven by negative emotions also makes this contrast startlingly clear. Amazing ep as usual, it always feels so so short.

Perhaps it is because Stain determines their worthiness by fighting power? Ingenium did say that he had others supporting him as a hero, and he couldn't defend himself against Stain alone. Also, when Midoriya was fighting Stain, didn't Stain say something like Midoriya isn't all talk and finds it regrettable to kill him (but has to since it is his job)?

So, it seems that Stain regards someone as a hero only if said hero can back it up.

Really, really great episode this week. We got 3 chapters adapted! I initially expected them to go past Todoroki's entrance, but I didn't think they'd do the whole of the next chapter. Although I went back to the chapters after the episode, and yeah, it's mostly action so that was dumb of me, haha.

The intensity of the fight is certainly not absent in the anime. It might even have surpassed the manga for me. The music when Izuku went in to fight Stain after arriving was amazing too. Chills.

The preview for next week looks very good too. Umakoshi will be the animation director next week so I'm very much looking forward to it.

This season continues to be a fantastic adaptation. Thank you, Bones!

And this people is how to develop characters in the span of 30ish episodes! Todoroki is such a good character now, and Midoriya using fulll cowl is amazing! Lida must get a grip on himself now if he wishes to defeat Hero Killer Stain.

Hero Killer Stain is one of those rare villians who will go down as very memorable because of his ideals and how he is in general. He likes Midoriya because he has a hero's mentality which alot of heros have forgotten, which is a very valid point!

Great Episode as always

Damn, what an episode! This has actually surpassed my expectations.

Up until now, even though the series had a lot of solid episode episodes, the huge cast took away a lot of the screen time and the most important characters never had a real chance to develop more deeply or shine as much as I hoped. Not only that, I also had my issues with some aspects of the tournament arc, so my expectations have been leaning towards the conservative side.

Well, last week's set up for this episode really raised the stakes and showed incredible potential, so I was expecting a really good episode. However, I wasn't sure whether the fullest extent of that potential would be explored. Now, let's just say that even as the annoying perfectionist that I am, I can't find a single fault in this episode. This was really a spectacular episode

On a side note, I couldn't help thinking how things would turn out if Iida was actually killed. It turns out he's still alive - most likely a fine decision as this series has a lot of development in store for him, so I can't fault them for that. Solid character development is always great. But man, this series is usually so bright and cheerful (nobody dies type stuff) that I would also love to see it take a turn for the dark and actually kill off 1 or 2 relevant characters in a shocking fashion in order to give us some serious feels and superb character development afterwards. Still, it's definitely darker now and I love that, even if it's not so dark as to kill off characters.

And please, for the love of all that's sacred, do NOT tell me whether the series will get as dark as I described. I don't think it will, but knowing whether that'll happen would kill all the suspense. After all, I didn't expect Iida's brother to get wrecked to hard that he wouldn't be able to move around either and it was a pleasant (lol) surprise.

The action this episode was pretty great. Todoroki and Deku make a good team. I'm going to take a guess and say that the three of them will stall until a professional hero comes, or Stain will end up leaving.

The thing with Iida's name also happened to me. The whole episode I had to repeat "Iida" in my head so I would stop saying Lida.

This episode reminded me of Hunter x Hunter (2011) for some reason. It definitely borrowed some factors from the former. Just the way how Midoriya found Iida and a short counter-perspective. Although the episode had too much going on and went on a contraction, but still the best episode in the new arc so far.

-that screeching sound from that first Noumu is gonna give me nightmares.
-With three Noumos out the city sure looks like hell!
- Character development for you! and for you! character development for everybody! This episode proves yet again that while BNHA is just another battle shounen, it remains amazing and entertaining to me, due to the characters depth and growth! I'm glad Todo is able to use his fire side freely! his speech at the end is nice too...
- Bravo bones! the animation is topnotch! Deku's full cowl looks good! this boy have gone so far! proud of him

It's a reference to the Japanese god Idaten actually. Idaten is a protector of Buddhism and Buddhist monks and is known for his great speed. Iida Tenya's quirk is speed based too. Fun, trivial fact lol. A lot of the character names in BNHA reflect how they are as uh... characters very well. Bakugou Katsuki for example, when transliterated, says a lot about his explosive personality and almost obsessive drive for victory/being number 1. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (Iron iron Iron iron) is another great example lol.

Great ep btw. The adaptation is going at a relatively fast pace but BONES managed to keep it coherent enough. I can't wait for the climax of this arc. It's gonna be great.

Man, this episode adapted exactly what I expected it would, and I refreshed my memory on these chapters just a few hours before watching the episode, and I still got chills. This was full of action and intensity from start to finish and I loved every second of it. From the brief scene we got of Gran Torino and Endeavor, to Deku entering the fight against Stain, and eventually Todoroki getting mixed up in this as well. Twenty minutes of awesomeness.

A very interesting thing that Stain said to Iida about how what he's doing is the exact opposite of what a hero should be, so he's basically full of hypocrisy right now. He wants to be a great hero like his brother but he's doing something selfish right now.

Bones is doing god's work with this adaptation. I wasn't expecting myself to be on the edge of my seat while watching the adaptation because I already know what will happen. Leave it to Bones for making me feel more excited than I was when I first read the manga. This is the fastest paced episode in the anime, with three chapters adapted. I already assumed that because the episode titles for this arc was revealed before. Todoroki and Midoriya were badass in this episode!

Next episode could adapt 2 chapters and add some extra stuff to the fight to make it longer. Or it can adapt three chapters, with the the episodes after that adapting 1.5 chapters each.

5/5

Deku find out Stain quirk very quickly, rather than the media all along lmao

I thought Deku send his location to Gran Torino. it look like there's some clash between Gran Torino and Endeavor?

Blood type O is the least Stain can control, good thing for Deku then.
it look like Deku in 5% percent full control still can't give big impact to enemy, but in other point, he can move faster than normal hero.

yes, Iida in this episode is more like a villain looking for a vengeance, rather than a hero. a hero always put up saving someone first, not killing villain first.
