The Ria girl really reminds me of Nico. Turns out, the trip showed that Aqours still needs to work quite a bit to really bring the best of their performances. I mean, NO ONE voted for them! | Heartbreaking episode T.T , Teared up multiple times. Still a great episode nonetheless. Wish we could have seen the performance though. They not only lost but were voted last with 0 votes, That's just sad :( You plays a major role in setting Chika straight, She asks all the questions head on forcing Chika to answer them rather then just avoid them. As always the influence of µ's in this show is weaved into this story really well, Their feats have raised the standards, competition and conviction needed to succeed at Love Live which is 10 times as large compared to when µ's where active. The girls realizing that simply wanting to perform for fun and make everyone happy is nowhere near the levels of will needed to succeed in Love Live. It was really nice to see how energetic the third years were back in the day, Hopefully they regain the feeling they once felt. From the third years being unable to sing to Mari stretching out her arms towards Kanan and Chika trying to reach for the µ's poster in her room and eventually breaking down in the beach, Everything was really emotional. Kinda sad how sometimes all your hardwork and effort just goes to waste like that simply because the world only acknowledges results. :( Well, I'm glad they got over this loss and it was good to see all of them starting practice again. | My thoughts: 1. i thought this was gonna be a depressing episode but it's not. i like that they didnt drag the emotion chika was holding up to the next episodes like in the first LL, its great that they made her easily recover without slap and shit. 2. Saint's snow performance was great. but i really didnt expect them to lose. when i saw that nico look alike girl cry, i cant help but laugh (i kinda feel bad). i wonder who got the first and second spot.. hmmm... 3. You is so gay for chika, just look at her bulletin 4. kanan finally appears, now i hope some bitches will shut up now, the meme is now dead 5. mari got denied but still Kanan X mari 6. chika x riko is so on, fuck other ships, this is legit 7. i think the title of this episode should be Step Zero to One <--- im still waiting for them to perform this favorite song of mine 8. The only one thing i dont like is, I really dont get the point of practicing hard if the way to win is by popularity. The important thing is not giving up and moving forward. Stay strong girls. I love the scene in the ocean, Riko hugging Chika was so nice. I really ship them. Mari getting denied of a hug from Kanan is hurt to see. |

| What an amazing episode, goddamn. It may actually be on the same level as Nico's episode from the second season. Comparing Sunshine to the original series, I don't like the characters here as much, but the drama is waaaay better executed, so far at least. |

| I really love this episode.. It really show that Aquors really did their best even though they didn't win.. I'm almost tear up when they show a flashback of A-Rise and Muse and of course when Chika cry.. we all know how it feels right..? We got to agree with Dia about how the school idol now is not the same during Muse time.. I just hope that Kanan can take off her armor of stubbornness and help her childhood friend Chika.. |

| Going to Tokyo made Aquors realize they need to become better to make it into Love Live! I'm glad Kanan is getting more screen time. She might confront Chika and the others once she finds out they are continuing to be school idols. |

| I'm going to go and say this is and will be the best episode of the season as to a reality check. Being honest altough Muse was real good, for god's sake I love them, if the competition had been as serious or big as it is now with Aquor's they would have stuggled much more on the way. The bar is real high in this one. Saint Snow was honestly great and yet they didn't even reach the top 5, I'm curious to see if we'll ever see the first place as another rival or if Saint Snow will just grow to become stronger alongside Aquor's. The sole fact that this girl, Ria, told them that just being like Muse is no longer enough to even get a single vote out of the competition not only gives an idea of how serious things got in the span between Muse and Aquor's, but she basically says what a lot of people think; that Aquor's will need to step up to the game and not be just someone inspired by Muse, but also leave a mark made by themselves if they even desire to participate properly at the Love Live. I'm sure the girls will be able to do it one step at a time, slowly but surely. You and Riko being the proper wives that Chika needs in this episode, You forcing Chika to front face their current situation though it is painful it's also necessary for them to grow and stop avoiding the fact they'll have to give much more of themselves if they want to reach their goal. Nice going from her part. Riko being there to tell her she doesn't have to shoulder all the emotions of everyone since she didn't force them to follow her is really important too, when you're a leader the pressure of having to be there for everyone while mantaining the morale is hard when things go as bad as they went for Aquor's. The fact that she lifted that weight from Chika's shoulders and let her vent her feelings -plus the hug :v- was really great. And well... how to say it... Holy shit Kanan, you appear to be savage as fuck. I lost my shit and almost screamed "Savage Af" when she turned down Mari's hug. I seriously love the ship and both of them, but it just spoke so clearly and loud what Kanan made; she's set on not longer falling for "impossible dreams". The contrast between her energetic cuddly self and her now more cold and serious demeanor was exceptional, it shows just how much it affected her their failure at Tokyo. It's the first time I see Mari so emotional, I'm completely sure that her coming back and becoming Chairwoman wasn't a whim, she really treasures whatever it is she had with Dia and Kanan, and she'll do her best to protect her even if the both of them give her the cold shoulder in the process. Mama Dia being there to finally say why she didn't want them to be school idols really got me. She's no longer just an Eri copy, she genuinely wanted to spare them some pain and hardships, more knowing that her sister would also feel what she felt 2 years ago. The episode was basically a rollercoaster of different emotions for me, one moment I was happily exclaiming "DiaRuby! DiaRuby" and at the next I was cringy yet amazed at Kanan's rejection only to end up relieved and excited by what Chika said. Their Step! Zero to One! Performance will certainly be great, and the song now has much more meaning for me. Hopefully, and probably, in the next episode Kanan's hard cover will be chipped away by Chika and Co, making gentle Kanan come back from wherever the hell she went to. |

| Somehow Saint Snow's performance reminded me of Baby Metal.... This episode was kinda tough to watch. The entire time I was thinking: You're one of only 30 teams invited to perform in Tokyo, that in itself is a great achievement. Just because a theater of people didn't vote for you doesn't mean you didn't do well, nor does it take away all the effort put in up till now. But when she got caught speechless a couple of times, and when she finally burst, it was hard to feel optimistic about them carrying on. Love the dynamic we have between Yohane, Ruby and Hana. Yohane always sets herself up to be teased by the other two, and it's so fun to watch her dere reactions to that. Also wanted to say, when Yohane stumbled into the water holding that parasol at the end, I couldn't help but laugh out loud. She's such a lovable klutz. |

| The moment when you realize Saint Snow is like 100x better than current group... But Aquors suffering was real, I really enjoyed this episode because finally they hit the wall with their feeble attempts - they took usual happy tropes (like when Mari hoped for embrace but Kanan walk around her) and made them into moments of despair. This kind of reality slap was much needed. The best outcome right now would be if they decided they don't need any Love Live to sing and if they got famous even without it.. that would be great achievement. But I don't think creators of this series has the balls to do it so we'll get the usual instead. |

| This episode was very important for Aquors both as a new idol group and as identifying themselves as independent from μ's. Maybe its me overthinking things again but to me it felt like a meta commentary of accepting Aquors as the new idols for Love Live, the series, as it was fully self-aware that its trying to followup what the idol anime boom established. There is a lot of stuff that are the same between Aquors and μ's but emphasizing how an audience might not accept them when everything about idols is a thing now makes me want to root for Aquors more (while also tearing up when getting hit with the metaphorical reality stick). |

| -The moment Saint Snow started singing I fell in love with their performance, and the performance itself was ludicrously smooth -Aqours' first single kinda foreshadowed the outcome of their first live public performance -Last episode I thought that Saint Snow would be a strictly antagonistic rival group, but from the scene where Aqours gets the results of the voting, it seems like they'll be working together -It's kinda interesting how the fangroup from their school has all these lofty expectations for them, and while the fangroup from the original series was more there for the ride -Sister reunion scene was all sorts of "aww", for a couple of different reasons -Yeah I definitely like Dia a lot better than Eli, both from a musical perspective and from a character perspective -I also kinda like where the idol stuff is going, with them actually starting at the bottom despite the good start -All the scenes with the first-year third-years were pretty great, and Kanan actually gets lines this time -Huh, it kinda seems like Kanan will actually be the last recruit from her attitude on the pier -This almost turned into an entirely different kind of show when Riko was looking for Chika -I love how simple and down to earth Chika is -All current members of Aqours sing the ED, which is thematically appropriate after watching the episode -Actually it looks like Kanan will be the subject of next episode finally I liked the Saint Snow song just as much as my favorite songs from each of the Aqours subunits. Some interesting developments happened this episode that set Aqours back at the bottom of the success ladder, and I did not expect them to place dead last in Tokyo. That makes me pretty interested in what happens in the following episodes. From the rest of the episode I concluded that I like Dia better than Eli and that I like Chika just as much as I like Honoka, if not more. Pretty great episode. EDIT: So I was watching the ED again and it turns out that the Saint Snow girls actually are sisters, which is news to me |

| Saint Snow's song was actually pretty damn catchy and the animation was great. Everything was great... but "self-contlol" made me laugh a lot. It even has 'lol' in it. I guess they got 9th position because of that. jk. I'm laughing. They didn't have to make it that dramatic. Aquors got zero votes, they could go with 5-7 votes and make it a bit more believable. But oh well, it's okay like this. I like how they went waaa-- to un~! to aan~! in a span of 15 secs lol. Good dramatic episode. Finally an episode where they didn't mention Muse. They might get original from here. |

| Great episode! I'm honestly glad it isn't smooth sailing for them. They got a good reality check and it'll be interesting to see them try to better themselves. Also really liked Saint Snow's performance. They clearly take it very seriously. Next episode looks really good, seeing young versions of the characters... Surprising that at episode 8 there is still no sign of the third years joining the group which of course they will. Kanan seems to be very popular for a character will such little screen time. Maybe they'll join soon. Side note: those Zura's are starting to annoy me a little |
