----------------------------------------
Poor Ikoma. Feels bad for him and his friend...god damn it Biba. I don't blame him for crying this episode.

Too bad, I find his character to be pretty stereotypical especially given his cold blooded killing now.
What's also getting chaotic is how tension between humans erupted because of the suspicion of Kabaneri. Reflecting on this episode, Mumei is pretty much a living weapon.

I guess finale will be a big battle. Is Ikoma even ready? Lol. Guess we'll have to see. He's got guts though, I'll give him that.

mee too....And Biba needs to die with realization that all his plans were complete Failure and with Painful Scream!

Mumei....Oh dear...Kuroi Kemuri

Kurusu better arrive with that Antidote in next Episode! that is only way to Mumei to Survive from Kumoi Kemuri!! Remember in episode where Horobi turned into this Super Kabane.

Shogun-sama is quite coward....what ever is the Cause...you don't slash your Child WITH A KNIFE! He made Biba into what he is...but Biba is still a Monster too.

Yeah on top being a Coward he is an Idiot....did he not seriously expect a Trap...he should have blown entire Train up with Cannons....but Lords always want Arrogantly insult and Humiliate their Opponents....Biba used that and the last possible Father Love that Shogun might had towards him....
Damn....how the Hell Biba turned his father into Kabane? Blood Drop? but Shogun had no Wound?

and then he started to use Terror to kill rest of the Military and Leadership... Nice Tactic and use of personal Knowledge.

O_O Damn IKOMA has made his Mind...but isn't there only 1 Antidote? So...Ikoma save Mumei and dies as Kabaneri/Kumo Kemuri?

YOOOO That ending was actually damn hype!!!
If they follow through and have Ikoma die I might raise my score again.
He was looking fresh asf with that new hair cut. And SAVAGE as all hell when he transformed.

Kurusu was awesome too. And so was Ayame (even tho they pretty much didn't do anything this ep :P)

Glad that Mumei actually avoided a fatality. I knew she had an ounce of conscious in her.

As for Biba...well that happened. Don't tell me he kinda regrets it or sth because that's what it seemed like to me.

Anyway Ideal ending for me would be to have Ikoma kill Biba. Stop Mumei (or even kill her) and then die himself. Would love much more if that happens

This episode was actually good, I'm really interested to find out how they gonna wrap things up. I personally wish to see Ikoma saving Mumei but dying while doing that. I don't want any characters to die most of the times but this anime was weird from the beginning and I feel that it needs some drama at the finale. If Mumei were to die then we'd get a sad Ikoma who feels like shit for being unable to save her, but if Ikoma succeeds and saves her then it's gonna be a heroic effort from his part and she will finally live a normal life as he promised her.

Waaaah my daddy didn't love me so now I am a mass murderer. I swear what a 1-dimensional villian this dude is lol. This episode was kind of annoying to be honest, just irked my nerves for some reason.

Oh and they let Biba in knowing he was up to something... come on. Feels like this all happened out of the convenience for the plot -_-.

I did enjoy the action and fear instilled in the people though, but I pretty much given up on the plot of this show :/.

3/5

I forgot to add, Ikoma needs to just give up saving Mumei. She got a shitload of people killed for no reason and almost did another time for not listening to others. She needs to face the consequences of her actions with loli death.

People are going to hate this episode. Oh well. XD I don't care. There wasn't as much explanation as I would have preferred but it was really cool and events weren't hard to follow, so I'm happy. I'm kinda glad Ikoma's arm didn't grow back somehow and he instead bolted his gun to it. His new hair is actually pretty awesome and metal! What do you think, @zal? Is it better? XD

The reasoning of Biba and his followers and the whole betrayal thing was painful to watch.
They could of somewhat redeemed the villains of this series, but they made them even worse.

At least the ending of the episode was entertaining and the transformation new hairstyle at the end was awesome and I won't have to deal with Biba's painfully shallow and irrational personality when it ends next week.

What kind of lame excuse is that, Biba? *facepalm*
He could have been a great character but holy shit, that was bad.

This was very rushed, too imo. I actually feel that Takumi is still alive xD

The last scene was the best one by far. That badassery from Ikoma, his haircut, his design, crazy good.

Is it just me or does this smell like ultimate bad end?

Only truly "bad" end would satisfy me... It would be cheesy and stupid if every one would just survive, but I guess it doesn't matter now that my hopes for this show are gone.

The disappointment continues with local man Biba ruining everything one episode at a time, but I have to admit he and Ayame looked ridiculously good in their white outfits.

As expected, his motives barely justify the insanity of his actions, as he decides to unleash a Colony on a city he's already taken control of. I can see and commend the show's attempt at drawing the parallels between his father and him, but it was a complete failure in my opinion: I never saw any fear in Biba's character so much as I saw manipulation, sadism and desire for domination. His actions seem more driven by utter madness and stupidity than by actual cowardice. What he truly wants also becomes more and more confusing each time his motivations are mentioned; was his end goal Kongokaku all along or does he want to extend the destruction to every station? Did he want revenge or to carry out this extreme version of Eren Jeager's philosophy he instilled in Mumei's mind and proudly claimed the validity thereof as his men and the Colony he unleashed on the last station were massacring innocent people? None of this really adds up and it just leaves me perplexed more than anything else.

Mumei, as usual, keeps getting dragged down further by the narrative, and her Colony transformation, which in any other show with a better script should've been the most climactic and heartbreaking moment in the series, ends up falling flat on its face: all emotional resonance this scene could and should've had was completely lost on me due to the sheer ridiculousness of all the events leading up to it. She's now a mere imouto in distress waiting to be either rescued or put out of her misery by her second onii-chan.

Fortunately, Ikoma is there to salvage whatever is left of this episode with his breakdown followed by his regain in determination and confidence, perfectly symbolised by the dramatic powerup he receives in the last few minutes. Again, I blame the writing for rushing his progression and not giving him the appropriate amount of time to reconstruct himself before setting off on his final journey, but thankfully his seiyuu's performance was solid enough to make me overlook this issue.

All in all, it wasn't a terrible episode (at least it wasn't as bad as the last few we had), but I don't believe the next one will be able to redeem the series in my eyes.

Did I ever state that I wouldn't like the ending if it ended the way that I interpreted it to? Nah.
I won't even try to answer your question because I am inexperienced when it comes to thinking up things that are already not existent. And yeah, anime these days, it's impossible not to simply predict the ending, so your point stands.

In the ocean with that gun and doesn't drown or lose it, meh. Before the opening he was on a rock and after it he was on the beach? o_O
He doesn't want to go to save Ayame and the others but changes idea when it is about Mumei? I guess they tried to give him a moment of weakness before being even more overpowered.
Why did they inject him there? Wasn't wiser to go near the city before doing it since the power up doesn't last very long? Rhetorical question since it will inevitably last long enough.
Father and son are both motivated by stupid reasons but I kinda liked Biba's plan, it wasn't bad given the circumstances the show put itself in.
Visually it was outstanding at the beginning and some parts here and there, also the atmosphere and music of Mumei transformation was good or even great if I cared more about her.
Kurusu confirmed best character for the 11 episodes in a row, not that the competition is fierce.
Oh, I almost forgot to talk about the speed of the transformation in Kabane but I don't want to repeat what I have been saying for many episodes. Overall was better than usual and was quite hype towards the end.

I had such high hopes for this show. The writing has been very poor and the story is pretty much non-existent. I mean really, where is this show going other than exploring Biba's daddy issues?

I expect the last episode will have Ikoma saving Mumei and killing Biba - probably somehow living himself as well. And in the end, we can all sit here and ask ourselves what this show was - to which I expect the common answer will be "pointless".

The story became unbearable with Biba's introduction. He is one the worst and badly written antagonist that I have seen.

Because when he said it was fear", he was not refering to his own fear, but to the fear of the other people there, that made them go insane and shot dad to death...Biba himself never feared nothing at that moment...

No, that's not what I'm talking about, actually.

One of the main traits Biba is meant to have is cowardice: many characters who've encountered him, from Ikoma to Horobi, have noticed the fear that supposedly resides deep within him but 5 episodes after his proper introduction, I've yet to see anything in his reasonings or actions that indicates his alleged fear is anything other than mere lip service.
