| first thing that came to mind: "a mermaid... wtf a mermaid?!" But I guess that's my fault for not having read the synopsis lol. Anyway it turned out to be funny and slightly interesting. That's all I can say for now... I'm not sure I'm going to watch this. |

In the beginning when he was drowning, I was all liek if dat mermaid ho starts singing to him while laying on the beach in a suggestive position and leaves when he wakes up making him spend a few days trying to find the girl with the beautiful voice so he could marry her without any other basis on to set a good relationship on other than how prety she can sing, I was gonna be like aww hellz naw! |

| It started out pretty slow and I didn't think it was going to function well as a parody, but I really enjoyed the second half of the episode. If it keeps up with what was presented there then this has the potential to be really good. Good first episode. |

| I started watching this simply because it was there and available. I wasn't expecting much from it. I'd have to say, this first episode just blew my expectations right out of the water. That was, in some way, rather brilliant. There seems to be a lot of subtle jokes thrown in that are very easy to miss, but help to make it rather awesome! |

| Coming off of School Rumble, this seems like quite a disappointment. One way i get drawn into Anime are the Seiyu, and sadly this doesn't meet my requirements. Mizushima, Takahiro as the MC Nagasumi is fine, since I enjoyed him as Furuichi from Beelzebub and Lamperouge, Rolo from Code Geass. However i'm not overly fond of an Mc that seems to be 13-14 (not sure atm, but Junior High was mentioned, and honestly he looks to be like 12) in a ROMANCE genre anime. Hell i've seen a plethora of romance oriented anime with people in their 20's or older where you will rarely if ever get a kiss scene. I imagine holding hands here will be the equivalent of an Orgy, and just as unlikely. Back to the disappointing Va's, the first heroine Seto is done by the nearly unknown Momoi, Haruko, which wouldn't be an auto fail intrinsically. However from the moment she opens her mouth i'm hard pressed to find anything redeeming with her voice. It's not great that a main female love interest is sub-mediocre looking at best, but to have a voice only marginally more appealing than chalk scraping on a dying man's bones is borderline impossible to overlook. Nogawa, Sakura is equally unknown which doesn't bode well, but ill edit this when i hear her before passing judgment and possibly dropping this otherwise sub-par show. |

| That's one way to meet your father-in-law... Ahhhh, the good ol' overprotective dad. Gotta love them. Well, that sure was a weird first episode. The thing that maybe have bugged me the most was the art. I don't know why, something just felt off... But I'm not really difficult on that part, it probably won't affect my appreciation. The concept sure is original. I just hope it won't be the episodic kind of show. I don't hate episodic serie, it's just not what I'm looking for. |
