| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was a good episode, nothing specially outstanding, but made some important progress revealing details. But, I'm really expecting at least some shoujo-ai from this show, although I think Gonzo will not show nothing explicit. Ah, the opening animation really amazed me, the music too =) |

| Episode was really good and it's starting to get interesting (though nothing really outstanding happened). I think it's progressing relatively well, not to slow and not to fast (though I'd really like to know more about what happened in the past). I don't know what it is but I love the music in this series, so beautiful. |

| well, I think it's pretty clear that Hagino's ship is involved in the island's incident, now what is left is to show why people started killing each other... I think Mari's memory loss was Hagino's doing too... |

| I'm torn on this series...on the one hand, I'm a little curious to find out what happens, but on the other I'm not really interested in watching any more of it. lol We'll see, I guess. |

| This episode was far more interesting. Opening R0x. I also think that Hagino had something to do with the incident. But more than that the Nobal Ship is causing me creeps... What is that, that is so important they needed to report at the moment. Last scenes and cliffhanger raised more my curiosity. Looking forward to next one. |
| A lot better than Episode 1. The music and animation really got my attention this time, and it looks like things will get even better in Episode 3. 4/5 |

| it was a lot better than the first ep. But still not too surprising, at least Mari (thats the main chars name right o_o?) wasent as hatefull as in the previouse episode. I have a feeling this anime is gonna get very Yuri =.=0 |

| I think this show is really interesting.. I could ramble.. well I think the pacing is perfect, the characters are interesting, the OP is great.. the story seems good... I like it when animes sort of slowly start and reveal everything in the end... I'm a sucker for that. I think their love is really cute, and I kinda want to see a kiss happen :> |
| Nice art style, and I'm quite interested by the selection of characters, but I can smell the cloying odour of cliche wafting out of this one from a fair way off. Also, the spaceship-submarine thing with all the purple neon is basically silly, as is the roboseagull thing. It reminds me of Melody of Oblivion and I keep expecting it to say "Arukoto Naikoto!". This is a very bad thing. Trouble is, Gonzo just did one of their rare good series, so the Curse of Gonzo states that this will not, in the final analysis, end up being very much good. I think my key trouble so far is that it's simply introducing far too many undeveloped ideas at once in order to manufacture an air of mystery - it's trying far too hard, it's pacing is visibly failing, and I find I'm not really caring much about any of it. Anime writers need to learn that this isn't a substitute for truly intelligent storytelling - a lot of people who are confused by a series don't keep watching to find out what's going on, they just give up. |

| Watching this anime ~9 years after it was released, I don't have any perspective as to what was good animation at the time, but people were saying that this episode was well-animated back in 2007. I can't really tell, but it makes me curious. I always have liked that distinct 2005-2007 feel that reminds me of Eureka Seven, Darker than Black, Blood+, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, 4 out of my 5 favorite anime which were all made in this time period. I think there's something special about anime made in those years, and I'm not speaking from nostalgia, since I didn't start watching anime until 2013. This animation seems reminiscent of that, so I like it. Really nice music, makes everything feel sorta calm. I liked this episode and I already like Hagino. Maybe this will be another one of those special 2005-2007 anime that draws me in with its more subdued atmosphere that develops into intense emotional investment. |
