One of the things that I think of when recollecting Fukumoto is his tendency to write hundreds of chapters within one building or even room. I love this, it is comfortable and you end up feeling at home, or otherwise in a very claustrophobic and familiar place. I mention this because Zero is taking the opposite approach during this arc especially. Our boys are touring Japan and seeing landscapes I would have never expected to see in a Fukumoto manga!! Diversity from sensei.

Otherwise, it may be weird to continue comparing Jotaro and Zero so much, but suddenly I'm seeing the rivalry between egotistical Tatsuki and poker face Zero similar to many of the villains and Jotaro. As if Tatsuki will try to get a reaction out of Zero and Zero simply won't budge. Always a fun hero-villain dynamic.

Also, I cannot help but recall Kyousuke. While yes Junko was a more typical insane and evil Fukumoto villain- especially one in line with Zero part one, the other villains feel quite grounded. Two of which have been children being crushed or driven by expectation or ego, and one was a drunken abuser trying to sell out a girl he caught in debt. Tatsuki may be very over the top, KEE KEE KEE, but he still feels oddly grounded and potentially sympathetic. It really does feel like we have stepped away from the dark and twisted world of Zaizen, Jack the Cutter, Kotarou, suddenly, they almost feel like a dream.
