Wow, that first person motorcycle scene at the end was so good!

Also, it's nice to see a well written work, which doesn't rely as heavily on interior monologue as most anime does. I just feels so much more real.

I don't really feel the point in that ending. If it was going for Bobby as like a dying hero, than I just don't get it since it seemed he was beginning to question whether running away from home was the right thing to do. If he died on his way back home instead of back to his apartment to get a call from a complete stranger, the ending would've felt more impactful. While it was surprising, it seemed meaningless. A few greatly animated scenes in there though, and some interesting style overall.

The old japanese animation movie sometimes could be so absurd. The same situations goes with these 'Bobby in deep' anime. Madhouse antic animation felt so superior over its meaningless story. The story telling was also pretty bad, i can't help but asked why the hell its like that? And why its went to be like that? And many others. I mean, look at our teen mc, flying through his way out, only to answered the strange phone call in the end. Idk if its mean he death or no, the movie itself seems uncare clearing its ending. So pay no mind with it at all will be the best. But, for me, its no way. I even read that the story itself had a several changed over to fit the duration quotas. Smh for that issues.

Anti-climatic end, over its powerful first-person rode bike animation, feel the best overall description for this old movie anime. Such a shame, cause its lost its fully potential. 4/10. +3 only because its superb riding animation projection that somehow felt pretty intensed, and the ost sounds good. Even though its ended up with the whole storyline that feel pretty 'meh' to my standard.

Thats it from me.

Some really cool animation in the motorbike scenes, but as a whole it's a one-bit movie. There's nothing wrong with the lot per se, the movie just doesn't give a fuck about making you care for it's characters. I enjoyed the ride and from beginning to end I was chuckling to myself at the title ("Bobby's in deep" simultaneously sounds like an innuendo and the subtitle of a shitty franchise film).

One of the most beautiful pieces of animation I have ever seen. Great atmosphere and nice slice of life story.

Do what you love because your future is uncertain.

Man, the script was perhaps a bit bland, but the music, vibes and experimental animation were great.

6,5/10

A really simple film that was part of a double feature with 'The Dagger of Kamui'; unlike the latter this one stuck out to me in 40 minutes when few anime ever could in 12 episodes. Rock on, Bobby...
