| Better than the first episode. Gon seems a little like a carbon copy of young Goku at the moment though...and in the same way as Goku he's far better with other characters around him as a foil. |

| i've just realized, gon sounds EXCALTY like naruto scratch that, i just checked and it IS!! thats so cool anyway about the episode, much better than the 1st, can't wait to meet the blond guy, he looks cool. |

No wonder Gon sounded so familiar... And I agree with what others have said about this being better than the first episode. It was definitely more interesting, although for part of the time I was confused about why Gon picked that particular guy to follow around. I don't know if I was paying enough attention or not, but he didn't seem to really have a reason. Kind of strange. Gon's interaction with that dude just seemed a bit off in general, but obviously they're meant to be friends so I guess it had to start somewhere... The blond intrigues me, too. :) Even the captain does - he seems like an interesting character as well. |
| Feeling: Cheerful, Unexpected, Not convincing, Touching Well, when Gon started asking about the boat and this man offered to take him to Dolle, i thought "OMG no!" so i was really glad he was rescued by megane-san(the guy with glasses)... yeees it feels so Goku-like XD Blond guy was amazing, when i first saw him i thought it was maybe a rich crybaby or the smart guy, then unexpectedly he changes his eyes and do his thing with the spider and not hurting them!! Im liking the non-hurting animals thing, here and in the previous chapter. Fishing pole tricks were nice but it didnt convince me much... didnt he just get this one from his aunt... As much expert one would be with a tool, a new model would take some time adapting... now, maybe that doesnt happen with fishing poles (?) maybe im just not paying much attention and some time passed between chapter one and two. About Gon's hability to relate with animals, i think its so touching!!! I like characters with habilities like that, like Naruto's Kiba and his family, for instance. Im liking Gon more and more. Hope that doesnt make me a child molester LOL |

| I can appreciate elements of this episode but it's so... stretched... out... There was a moment when Leori and Gon were staring at nothing for what had to be the longest four seconds of my life. LOL And the cliché "he's not a true Hunter!" could be seen from a mile away. Way too much time was spent on that. (¬_¬) Kinda sucks that some of the interesting subtleties in morality, like Leorio stealing for what should be the eventual greater good and Gon remaining only curious and not condemning in the slightest, were overshadowed by what feel like the later über "stock shounen" additions. |

| Decent progression, but the pacing is still a tad bit slow. Seems the pilot also covered in one episode where this probably will take 3 or 4 episodes for? |

| So this part wasn't in the pilot episode, makes Leorio seems.... less and more of a douche? Not sure what to think about him so far. Also his suit seems kinda out of place. |
| That was a nice episode, Leorio's introduction was so solid and is hard to not like him already, his reactions when Gon just kept chasing him everywhere haha. I really liked how the poachers and the fake hunter meant to Gon's character and how he refused to accept that he could be a hunter, the type of person that his dad is. |

| I like the extra bits of story added compared to the manga, some may dislike the filler but I think that for now it's kinda nice |
