Ouch, Daikichi just shot me in the heart with that last page.
I really don't know what to feel anymore. Someone run Daikichi over with a car and make Rin have to be by his side forever!

All I could think after reading this chapter was "DAIKICHI, NOOOO!"
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence...”

Daikichi's las sentence... shocked.
Sadistically mean, but, that's the truth, doesn't it?

It's a normal answer a parent would give.

Kouki: "I wouldn't be happy with that."
o.o Since when did this become about him?

I'm happy Daikichi just flat out rejected her (or so it seemed). Using a roundabout way to do it would just lead to more confusion on her part.
3 chapters to go, and I don't have a clue on how this will end.

Daikichi dropped a bomb and it is nuclear! I was speechless and when you think about it he's so freaking right that it is scary. Rin time to move on so he could to, too bad Kouki's mom got married though don't see a prospective wife for Daikichi.

I just don't see Daikichi ending up by himself and their relationship becoming very awkward and uncomfortable, though. It'd be such a sad ending for such a lighthearted series.

Maybe I'm just super hopeful, but I think Rin won't give up. ><

The moment he put two and two together and figured out Rin's in love with Daikichi. You must think how he feels as well. Him and Rin grew up, side by side. Daikichi and his mother also developed a friendship during this time as well. And, so, Kouki is basically a part of the family in Daikichi's eyes. And, of course with close friendship comes natural attraction so Kouki fell in love with Rin but then Rin flat out rejects him....for Daikichi? Honestly, Kouki is the best guy I've come across because with the situation he's been handed he's taken it with stride, coolness, and has been content the entire time. I mean, put yourself in his shoes. You find out the girl you fell in love with (and grew up side by side) has rejected your offer in starting a relationship. Days later, you find out she's in love with her adopted father who's 40+ years old and will never love her as he will? WTH - I would be pissed personally.

And, I completely see two sides to the story - Daikichi's and Kouki's. So, I (sort of) see why events/dialogue have been said and yadda yadda.

@sillyker0nian oh yeah I never even thought about kouki's perspective and how he must have felt. I guess her unrequited feelings mirror kouki's?
