| I think most viewers liked MyGO and most fans of the franchise were somehow used to the fact that the show became much more psychological and dramatic than the standard BanG Dream story. But what about the Ave Mujika? What do you personally think about even more dark and psychological themes in this season? Do you think they are still working well and in line with the creators' desire to write a realistic psychological story about young experiences, or is it already crossing the lines and too cheesy and/or melodramatic to take it seriously? I’m not trying to attack the show or defend it. I’m just curious about how people are looking at this, especially after most of the episodes have been released so far and the director’s open admission that they’ve deliberately raised a whole spectrum of dark psychological themes like: |

My vote goes to liking it, yes.
Considering the background/history on how the band was formed and all the members' past, I think it was kind of a "Must" to go this dark/deep in terms of psichological and dramatic plot.
After all, while not common, it's also a representation of some real scenarios in life. And in the world of music, I would think this is more common than we think about. Bands breaking up due to members "swinging in different directions", frictions between them, personal dramas affecting the groups... All these may actually be the daily problems of most real world bands.
So yes, escaping the "happy life" and the "overcoming issues so easily" routes feels somewhat refreshing.

| I have no pre-MyGO experience with BanG Dream and the fact that it’s dark, toxic, and psychological was the main sales pitch to me, so I’d say yeah. I also find that the increase in melodrama is precisely why I like it so much |

| I've never had any interest in idol type shows, but the themes discussed here certainly intrigue me, and two seasons with 8+ scores is no joke. Oh... that's right, it's CGI... so that's probably why I haven't bothered. lol |

| @LostSpectre I think that you can easily call CGI in the show of this studio the best CGI in the industry. They really spend a lot of efforts and money on it. In terms of rating, it’s the biggest plot-driven title in the franchise. Plus, you know how young people love emotional drama and teenage themes. |

| @RobertBobert The art itself looks really good, but I just can't with pure CGI, it's really off-putting. I only watched Land of the Lustrous because of the praise it got, but I thought it was just alright. There's a fair amount of CGI in this seasons Medalist but that looks pretty damn good to me for the most part, but it's all constant motion more or less, so I think that factors in. |

| If we look at it from both sides, I think the negative side of this show will take up the majority. The personalities of the characters in AvM tend to be more fake complex than real complex. From our perspective, as viewers, we will see more solutions instead of complicating things, but this will be a subjective opinion, when emotions conflict with reason, it creates an illogical thing that is difficult to recognize and goes against all our perspectives. It can be a double-edged sword that brings us curiosity, excitement and also makes us feel kinda cringe or creepy at the same time. Maybe the age speaks of an immature perception or maybe it is the emotion that is exaggerated in a negative way about both the responsibility that a student has to bear and the consequences if they choose the wrong direction. It is the above things that have formed a series of imperfect character personalities, although we do not demand perfection, but it seems like the psychological level at their age that they have to endure may be a bit heavy, and this is also common in the way manga authors describe character psychology. Although the character development is not consistent because there are also one or two characters who are favored more in the duration of the episodes, and I think it's not a success yet it does not make me too disappointed because after all, after 10 episodes, it has shown that the characters in this story have to fight to return to what they want, so when we do not take the drama of the story too seriously, we can still enjoy the relationships that the characters create. This is also part of the reason because for me, I have seen worst things and many more terrible things, so this is still just a form of excessive emotion and not something too bad. |
