| Avengers Assemble I love how chaotic the theatre is when you bring in all the girls and their whacky antics. Nao is one of my top 10, so getting a bit of of her driving the resolution of this episode was nice. Tsumugi and Kaori be appearing next episode (eye emoji) |
| Well better sooner than later, knowing how chaotic is to handle 37 new idols with so different personalities. With Akane running around ordering things, I wonder how long until Producer go and say "Well girls, we don't have money anymore. The project is cancelled." |

| I genuinely cannot keep track of all these characters at this point, let alone get invested in basically any of them in any capacity. The only one I've taken any interest in at all is Akane, and that's because she's the obligatory idol gremlin that all these shows have to have. I know all idol shows have a lot of characters, and this isn't even the first iM@S anime to do so (Cinderella Girls probably had a similar amount to this show's 37, all things considered), but 37 is genuinely too much for me to keep track of and I've pretty much zoned out of most of what's happening at this point. I'll keep watching for Akane and the cameos of the original cast, but that's all I'm here for now. I'm not even going to bother trying to take any interest in any of the other 36 new girls at this point. |

| @Atavistic Actually, it's bound to be 52 if you include the Platinum. When I heard about the anime I tough they would pick 13 and keep the other 39 making mostly cameos. For it's more on the ok side because I'm already used to all of them since I play Mirishita, but I still think it's a bit annoying having those names popping up all the time. |

| My tantou finally appeared, Tamaki!!!!!!!!!! She didn't get many lines but just seeing my daughter on screen makes me happy... I hope she success in making a farm for next episode... Besides that, I loved this episode so much!! We got a bit of everyone on screen and it showcased how absolutely chaotic ML can be, and Akane was so fun to watch once again too lol. The conflict with Momoko was nice too, with so many girls is to be expected to have some disagreements and it was well handled, Mizuki doing a trick for her was really cute! Mirai's speech too... she is so precious, bless her 💖 Also, this was my favorite picture of the episode!!!!! She is so daughter!!!!!!!! |
| I can only wonder how viewers unfamiliar with the cast, much less the series, can bear with character after character getting introduced in rapid succession. I understand the usage of the on-screen names to remind everyone of each character's identity, but it certainly gets distracting after a while. These were present during the 2011 anime's first episode, but seeing these nametags used into the 4th episode makes me wonder if they'll get used all the way until the end. This episode feels metaphorical to the anime series itself: an overabundance of ideas, but an absence of time and opportunities. How much can the anime get done in 12 episodes? How much can the idols prep for within 2 weeks? I really wish the anime were longer, as there's far too much ambition without enough time. I once again laughed at the anime now speedrunning red depression, as I can't get over how it's finally hit me that I'm watching an iDOLM@STER anime. Different characters, similar beats, huh. Also, I just realized that President Takagi seems a lot younger. At the very least, the lower half of his face doesn't reveal any particular signs of age. It's a minor thing, but that's been bugging me for the past few episodes. |
