| Heh, they made this feel like a mini-finale with that short yet big fight. Ray really unleashed his powers to full potential although it had major backlash effects. Episode spent of time on Ray's background story and tbh, it feels dull. His personality is far from interesting either but at least we get to know him better. It looks like Lydia knew and cared for him since he was a child. |

| So I owe this show an apology. It’s now the best Thursday seasonal, onimai being a close second. This has really grown on me in a way that few shows have. Really generic start, but something about the characters is just really endearing to me. I absolutely loved ray’s backstory with lydia and the other top sorcerers. Poor Carol, her idea to keep him and she got the short end of the stick lmao. Hope we see more of Lydia as well, her relationship with Ray is so wholesome. Even after losing her ability to walk she cares just as much for him. Mad respect to Albert for not only apologising but genuinely understanding where he went wrong. Been saying from episode 1-2 that he just needs to focus on himself instead of being jealous and hating on others. He finally got that. Speaking of Carol, she’s back and looks like she been eating good lmao. Next week is gonna be fun. Lydia in the past was STRAPPED, damn |

| The Iceblade Magician Ray White vs. Professor Helena Grady, one of the Eugenics, and if anything, just proved that he's on another level trying to protect Amelia and his other classmates. The backstory of Ray as a war orphan being found by his now Master Lydia Ainsworth to be taken care of along with Carol Caroline in the Arnold Kingdom as Astral sorcerers, he is a free citizen from his village that has no self-governance. Ray could be adopted by anyone, but he chose Lydia, even as responsibilities pile up. At the very least, Ray has resources backing him up, and his powers confirm his usefulness in the warzone. That is until the Far East War that he lost comrades like Howard, to unconsciously unleash his powers. Back to the modern day, an Ordinary like Ray White will get lost in the shuffle of nobles, but yet Lydia took her stand and apologized on his behalf to Abbie, citing the issue of making friends and learning to adapt to the world more, and finding his own happiness. Amelia and the closest friends learning about Ray the same way as Lydia and the others known how, it was a past that wasn't a bed of roses. At the very least, he has friends together with him now that could trust him in his current, past and future. Albert Alium visiting Ray in the dead of night to apologize to him, it was a honest apology to an Ordinary who is just kind-hearted. All Albert needed was the same like Ray: approval. That said, the new homeroom teacher being Carol, what hijinks will she bring to Ray's class? The backstory part is just a snoozefest... |

| well, we know where the budget and time were going, at least still can't help to shake the feeling that the anime staff really didn't have time to do what they truly wanted, here. with some cuts looking like they're meant for... another way of running sequence, if you get what I mean. shouldn't have taken this project. shouldn't have gotten rushed in doing it. but I guess life is life. corporatism in anime. |
| The backstory was decent, nothing out of the ordinary but still liked it. Lydia's a great master, she cares for Ray a lot. Ray's friends learned the truth and still accepted him, they are good friends. Also Carol became their teacher, this is gonna be amusing. |

| To be honest, i didn't like the first 3 minutes of this episode. And then.. Wow i think they did really well with the backstory and the sad moments. I liked it alot. |

| I wish they could've dedicated a bit more on the backstory, like Ray and Harvard bonding. Without this, Ray going berserk at Harvard's death feels forced and out of context for some reason. Atleast thats how I felt. The animation was iffy, but the vibe was really good. Can't wait next week for more Carocaro. |

| Caroline the full of milf turned up at the end there. Ray is clearly an equal opportunities harem builder and got Albert onside. A cheeky little deep dive into not so much where his powers came from, but how was able to develop them given his group he was in war with. Lost control in some final battle, has what seems like a self imposed lock, which we seen released when he went full on combat with the mad teacher. So much going on and I love it. I hope we get an eps 7/8 hot springs scene. |

| Ray unleashed his full power to defeat sensei with some repercussions. We also got a bit of a flashback to how Ray met up with Lydia, Carol and Co. when he was younger! Also we know how Sensei lost mobility in her legs, why Ray overheated cause of losing Harvard. Now his friends know that he is the Iceblade sorcerer and they are more than willing to stay by his side!! Oh and finally Albert apologises and makes up with Ray, hopefully we see him and Ray get along more cause that would be better than Albert before! Carol at the end lol. She changed a bit since then and I can't wait to see her lessons... I have a feeling she is going to dote on Ray as well, that would be funny to see!! |

| shitting on a show is still relevant discussion. i don't get where people get off thinking only positive opinions are allowed. that said, this show is okay; nothing special. honestly the whole season is relatively bland throughout. having a hard time feeling any emotions toward any of the characters. |

| This was such a great episode. I was honestly feeling like this show was kind of cliche, but between Rays backstory, trauma, and developing characters I think it's actually pretty good. |

I’ve tried so hard to like this anime, even with the bad voice overs, wrongly timed music, some bad visuals here and there, etc.. It doesn’t matter as long as the plot is good. But I can’t bare to watch it anymore.. I am interested don’t get me wrong, though I did skim over what they said on episodes 4-5. I doubt I’ll continue watching full episodes of this, just skim through and give my final thoughts at the end. If it gets better I may rewatch. (no hate towards you ofc we have different tastes/opinions just sharing mine ^_^) |

| Interesting start to Ray's backstory. I think there's more to his being the only survivor from his cursed village and what the villagers did to be called cursed. Carol's out of the military or on assignment I guess. |

| well, i have no idea wtf just happened, but Ray used a ton of different accelaration and deceleration to beat the teacher, but his body was frozing as well some flashback to when his master picked him, the sole survivor of a cursed village, so the kingdom didn't want to take him they had a hard time making him speak or smile lol aho pink likes Ray a lot Ray listened to their conversation about him, and asked to stay with Lidya, so that's what will happen a few years later, Ray just saved everyone's life with his ice swords, while the teacher probably did the same in another different location when they asked him if he wanted to continue the war or leave, he answered that everyone was hisfamily (and he will relutanctly include Carol lols) and that his power gives him responsability that being said, seeing one of the older guys die in front of him made him lose control off his power a bit earlier, master was talking about overheat, overusing the magic, (that explains why Ray was freezing in the battle at the start of the episode) he finally woke up, and everyone is fine, teacher also said it wasgood that he stopped the teacher they were also agains't making Ray join the academy, cause of the ordinary topic, specially after how much he endured in the battlefield, but master knew what he should be foing, spending time with people his age or learning stuff at school lol master started crying when outside school, good job holding off that long the captain girl also toldhim to be happy at school, that's everyone wish for him his friends are there, and hetold them about his power and how he kileld a ton of people, and was even the reason why master is in a wheelchair ... or why he can't use sorcery now, because of the overheat lock that being said, as expected, the friends like him so they didn't mind his past, that was a nice scene next, baka blue haired guy is here to apologise, and since he took the time to reflect and go to Ray, he readily forgave him and now they are friends lol easy LOL as soon as i heard "let me introducethe new teacher" i thought, please be aho pink, and sure she was the one, yay but holy shit, her outfit is amazing hahahaha Ray's face, holy hahahaha |

| Was a pretty good episode, got to learn more about Ray and his past, saw him battle to his full potential, his friends learned about him. Gotta say the fact that he cant use his sorcery kinda reminds me of Seirei Gensouki where Rio also couldnt use it, albeit for a different reason. The new Carol reminds me of that ahegao double peace illustrator from ImoImo lol, oh boy here we go. |
