| Ashito struggled a lot playing full back as you'd think but in the end he managed to make one good play atleast. I wonder what Akutsu meant by what he said though. Also so that's what Fukuda was thinking, making Ashito a playmaker. |

| Fukuda plans on making Aoi a playmaker huh. Who would’ve thought. This boys about to become the most dominant offensive defender in sports anime history. His ability is incredibly stellar and I love how this anime truly details how some athletes are naturally gifted at memorizing positioning and plays as well as reading plays before they happen. LeBron is one of the few players that immediately comes to mind. It’s known that he’s so intelligent in his game of basketball that he calls out opposing teams plays BEFORE they happen. So many opposing coaches have mentioned how it truly frustrates them since he’s one of the few in the NBA who can do it on a nightly basis. Crazy how their brains are wired.  |

| Wow the game finished way more shorter than i expected. At least its not a total destruction like i expect. Even if he's the one that cause the goal, he manage to clear the last golden chance and almost countered the game and shut that bully dude for real. What can Ashito said, the author decided to make him stay put on the losing side, and need him to learn more about the defending play, from all around him, it seems... The second part where the excitement reach its peak again. Anri was so damn nerdy there, and the discussion with the boys must be taken her onto another level of understanding. So am i. Playmaker, huh? Interesting talk, guys. Let's see if its true, or at the very least, Aoi can manage to liven up the expectations... Next! |

Let me say one thing, there is no right or wrong if manager see players as chess pieces or not, so I don't think Anri is completely wrong, but she did underestimate defender position for sure, especially when Ashito is a defender. Takeshima, or as I'd like to call him a red hair guy, bring his girlfriend to the practice match, my statement is still the same, I don't want to see any players have girlfriend, so I can understand Ohtomo, even if it's for a completely different reason than him LOL. But this is the first "official" girlfriend from any player. While Yuma and Anri are already act like couple, they're probably too shy to admit it (and might end up with a "Love is War" situation) so they stuck at being a "childhood friend" Ashito and Hana are still developing but as of now they're in a player-manager relationship. I mean I don't blame players from seeking a girlfriend because it might be a sole reason why they're invest in soccer, to get rich and get a crazy hot wife, so while they're still youth team let me appreciate their singleness before they go pro. Akutsu is very harsh to Aoi. Although it is true he said at the end of the match. Simply looks like we read the manga! I want second season! Please announce it soon!! I can't wait!! |

Anime vs. Manga. So far Ao Ashi has been a great adaption. It’s stayed, for the most part, true to the manga and is doing a great job at displaying emotions and characterization moments. Besides the mc, Akutsu is definitely my favorite character (manga-wise) and can’t wait to see how the anime will handle him. Give him time and Ashito will continue to rise to the top and become the most dominant attacking defender ever.   |

| Another great episode. Football part in the beginning and Aoi struggling and experiencing his new position was very good but my favorite part was the talk between Anri, Yuma and Togashi at the end. Anri's passion for football is really showing, it's pleasant to watch how much she cares and nerds for the sport. I wonder if they predicted Fukuda's intentions accurately. They also talk about Xavi experiment but don't mention him by name. Really interesting talk. Btw. Takeshima's girlfriend is a cutie. |

It was great! his upbringing and the surroundings he was raised in is responsible for how he acts and treats everybody around him. has such a big defensive wall up that it’s much easier to push people away and step over them then let them in and care about him. i’m sure the anime will do a stunning job at handling his character, but just give Akutsu a chance to redeem himself. because he comes through for our boy Ashito 💪 Again, his circumstances are no excuse for his behavior. I give him chance of course, simply can't understand his actions, that is all. |

| Hmm, a play-making fullback? The closest people we have to that in real life are probably Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander Arnold. Aoi still needs to work on his shuffling and his all-around game though. I don't like seeing the other characters getting left out so I'm hoping that we get some kind of character development for Togashi, Ohtomo, etc. |
