Was an interesting episode to me. Gave a bit more of an idea on things with The Raven.

Ok, so some things to note about this episode.

First, apparently Jigen never actually met Lily. So that means when Jigen was wondering what "that kid was up to", he didn't mean Lily, but rather he meant Kenny, who was disguising as Lily. This means that Kenny will probably have a larger role to play in future episode. Sadly, since it's only been three years since then when he was a kid of Lily's age, he probably hasn't become a professional gunman like Jigen.

Second, I love the rule of cool, but that one scene at the end with Jigen's final standoff with the ex-CIA guy was a little hard to take seriously. Like, I know pretty much nothing about guns, but I am pretty sure that a bullet couldn't take half the gun with it and still pierce a bullet proof vest with the mass of half of the gun still intact. What makes it even harder to believe was that Jigen waited still for a few seconds to aim while the professional hitman shot a few times from only a few meters away and missed each time. Like, the whole situation was pretty unbelievable. Either way though, it was still a fun episode.

Looks like the next episode won't be in London, but it looks like it might be the closest we will ever get to a Lupin beach episode. That should be fun.

I was looking forward to this episode as I usually like the Jigen ones, however, this was just ok.

I did have fun with the whole bait and switch with Kenny at the end. It was an interesting twist that I didn't think they'd do, but it could've been done a lot smoother. I also liked the gunfight at the beginning between Jigen and that former CIA guy and the story behind his old magnum.

I think the same critiques I had with the last episode apply here as there were moments that felt like they needed smoother transitions, like when the CIA guy appears out of nowhere chasing them after Jigen shoots out the fake cops' tires. Also, that final gunfight honestly had me laughing after seeing the barrel of Jigen's gun impale itself into the CIA guy. Like, I think it would've been cool to see the explosion from the gun and see the barrel fly through the air instead of what we got. It makes me wish that they handled that scene a lot better, but we got what we got.

Overall, it was decent and I still thought the switch with Kenny was pretty clever. Makes me wonder more about Kenny and if he'll go down the gunman life. I'm hoping that they fix the pacing in these episodes or at least the transitions between scenes. Hopefully, I won't feel that way in the next episode, cause episode 9 looks like it'll be a fun time.

I wonder if Kenny will give himself a code name when he becomes an assassin? I don't mind episodes like this one because the mystery was exciting from the beginning to the end.

I woulda thought Jigen would just steal the parts he needs rather than just sacrifice his gun. But the story worked out all the same.

Looks like more anthology episodes are forthcoming, like part 4. Hopefully this famous writer gives us a better episode than the last one we got.

Honestly it was a bit hard to tell that he fired the whole barrel. I thought that was a rad moment and ultimately liked the episode, but that was a little underwhelming. I think it was great cause we knew that the gun couldn’t support tougher bullets, so the surprise was awesome. I don’t particularly care for realistic physics in Lupin, that’s how they have some of the best action set pieces.

I really liked the car chase, always got a soft spot for Magnum Dance. Jigen’s my favourite so I’m always partial to a spotlight. I liked that it didn’t go for the usual “worn down and old” type of story where Jigen proves he’s still in it. Was more about the perils of his profession and what that’s made him become, thought it was really cool.

So we kind of got a flash back episode focusing on Jigen doing what he does best and that's being the gunman. I never thought that the boy would disguise himself as Lilly. That car chase was pretty cool too and I like how tied in the ED from Part 2 towards the end of the episode.

It was alright. This season has been underwhelming compared to the previous two so far.

I liked the twist as I wasn't expecting it, but it makes you think why Kenny would go through the trouble of mimicking her voice while Jigen is transporting him.

So it would be a twist to the viewers as well, haha....but for in world explanations, you could say that they were being cautious about the car being bugged in some way or that even when safe it's best to play the part so that you don't accidentally slip up when in a bad situation...but more likely it was just done for the sake of the twist.

Seriously, when they showed how close the CIA dude fell in relation to Jigen's position.. that guy probably had the worst aim in Lupin history.

Whoever storyboarded this episode could have better illustrated this scene by putting more distance between them.
