Yeowuch, Riko's ankle sprain did cost the New-Gen Dream Monkeys a capable member, and with that, their morale...which for Naomi, really dipped to a new low being overly concerned for Riko's situation. The others really struggled against the Tokyo hockey team, and Naomi really lost focus badly.

I'm thankful that Coaches Yoko and Sou, despite Riko's loss they're able to strive and get on with the game, especially with a veteran replacement like Shino Ukita.

Riko and Naomi being childhood friends kinda justifies the concern why Naomi's attachment to Riko is quite strong, even during their young days training in ice hockey with a dedication and a half-ass effort respectively. This is especially true for Naomi being enamored in figure skating (which we already know she quit) after quitting ice hockey, and that amidst the differences, they learn to fight for each other. The Power of Friendship trope lols, anything goes in a CGDCT show.

Welp, the Kushiro Snow White team, other than flawlessly winning match after match, Eri having an internal strife about the MVP foreigner Canadian Maya, seems that she doesn't trust her that she took her place. In other news, the Dream Monkeys barely won because of Yu and survived their game against the opponent team, winning 3-2. Mami's coming back, yatta!

In any game, it's go big or go home. Don't let a sacrifice be in vain.

That was definitely a huge win for the Dream Monkeys, especially after all the drama.

Those flashback moments were sweet. Riko and Naomi have been always such a good friends.

I'm so happy Mami is coming back. :)

The pressure, the tension from this episode are what a competitive sports anime should have.
Congratulation on Dream Monkey's first win. Kushiro Snow White is a very strong opponent. However, the relationship between teammates is not so good, this might be their weakness that could lead to their loss in the end.

If by the end of the season Dream Monkeys play against Snow White, Snow White need to lose, they didn't learn their lesson after losing Yu.

Yay! Mami is coming to Nikko to play. Oh no! Mami is coming to Nikko to play.

Well the game went okish seeing how Naomi wasn't able to pay attention during the first part.
At least she got around during the second part after talking with Riko abd she learned a few things about her friend.

And now Nami is coming back the question is wether she is coming back in a rival team, not that it should mather the girls still get to see each other which is a good thing.

Ok episode. I'm not sure why Nao was so hung up over her hurting Rikorin by accident though? Also, for how much Yuu was hyped up she really hasn't been all that good at all imo. Aside from the injury, the Dream Monkeys managed to GET THEIR GAME ON (Jaden Yuuki reference xD) and they... WON!
'The bonds of our hearts...connect the puck!' (One of the more cringey lines).
Also, where did that 'what's wrong' come from Maya randomly lol.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Where's the victory dance!

Pretty good episode! We finally got our first win, Manaka's goal was satisfying as fuck. Riko's sprain looks nasty though, but she just needs to rest for one more game and she's good to go. Glad Naomi was finally able to step up without relying too much on Riko. Smol Nao and Riko was very cute.

Let's go, Mami is playing on Nikko. I am going to bet that Mami became a beast of a player lmao. Snow White though, are still a bunch of complacent players. Looking forward to the next episode.

I saw some comments suggesting that away games don't get a dance, only Home game wins. Which I guess makes sense because why would another arena have a setup for an idol performance.

Yeah-I knew that but the Engrish still caught me off guard especially considering she was speaking pretty fluently in Japanese xD.

What a stupid injurie. To back your partner up doesn't mean you literally softing their fallings with your body. If Naomi fell on her ass, she would have be totally ok, there was no point to fuck up your leg.
I like how they totally forgot about idol shit like that was never a thing.

To me, it looks more like an accidental collision that Riko had little time to react on (in the same vein as Kobe Bryant falling on Andrew Bynum’s knee), rather than a naive attempt at protecting her teammate.

Smoll besties Nao and Riko are adorable. Well seems like Yu was definitely right with her previous team Snow white depending to much on an individual player instead of improving their own individual skill.

Approach a person walking backwards like that it's not a smart move at all and not a single penalty for elbowing your opponent like that made me confuse with ice hockey rule

Well, at least we know that no player is kept on the bench all game. Naomi played a big part in the Ice Monkey's victory, but the real game winner was scored during the 3rd quarter, which we never got to see. Perhaps it was one of the senpais who scored that?
