Rin has fully recovered and Yuki is down, but she trusts that Hosomichi may be able to lift Yuki's spirits up.

Hosomichi's encounter with Musashi in the convenience store with Yuki working there as a disguise, and any media that portrays any Otakudom (in this case, Yuki's idol group Rabbot Foot) is despised upon. That so happens to be Yuki's reinvigoration, and the True Army isn't having any of that BS, so thank god for Hosomichi for shielding Yuki before she vents loose.

But Hosomichi being forced as her manager, he tries his best to help Yuki get back on her two feet of her passion for idols. And so it is, planning a live performance stage just for Yuki, while Musashi in her Garanndoll Ryuji comes back for another round of mecha fight. Rin buys time with her Shark One with a saw as her Excalibur, but that idea (as funny as it is) just isn't an effective idea at all.

Wowsies, hardcore fans are the ones who stalk the idols they idolize. The true way is only by Hosomichi reaffirming Yuki's conviction as an idol to fight for what she loves to do, and that everyone loves her for it. Arahabaki being an idol showcase, and Rabbit Two (db)'s transformation is nice and recognizable to earn another W for Arahabaki.

Rin getting forcefully ejected from her Garann, welp.

Cute and fun episode, although the story is starting to get a little patterned.
Poor Rin lol

I just hope it doesn't end up in a typical love triangle/harem situation, especially since there's no chance of it ever being resolved. Also, I wonder what ages the characters are...

I doubt it since Yuki relation with Hosomichi seems more like support/partner than what he has with Rin(he actually likes tokusatsu for one).

On another note the rabbit mech disappointed me a bit after seeing the silhouette of the slimmer version and thinking the plush would transform, only to just get shooted out of it, such wasted potential.

This show is just such a gem man! I feel like particularly for those who have watched a lot of anime and seen the oversaturation of the mecha and sci-fi genres overtime this is just even better!

It perfectly balances pretending to have an actual story while being comedy and I love every single second of it! Definitely my gem of the season!

The dialogue at the beginning about Yuki putting up some "pretty thick walls" and that she "never opened her heart." AT Fields from Evangelion ring a bell.

Scrimp & Save, so this is where Yuki works when she isn't being an idol. But which one is the real her? Are the glasses a disguise or does she need them to see like Hosomichi does? (another similarity between them). She sells magazines but fries food um...ok.

Musashi was telling Yuki some cold hard truths until she snapped.

I knew it, the song by the idol she admired was the key!

Oh no, Hosomichi ejected Rin.

We're going FULL MACROSS now! Hosomichi admits that he thought Yuki was like him; putting on a mask for their performances/acts. But Yuki is definitely passionate about being an idol. Hosomichi needs nudges about being a hero.

The Rabbit Two shows its true form.

Another somewhat fun episode. Not a lot of depth, but that doesn’t matter as much when it’s more going for a fun time. There are some nice subtleties here and there that help add to the overall experience, so I have to admit that I judged this series too harshly to begin with. I still won’t call it good yet, but maybe I will once it ends if it continues on this trajectory.

The third and last battery girl is probably going to be a bigger oddball than both Rin and Ryuki combined.

Slight change at the ed.

Then, ayy, i like how Yuki clinging to Hosomichi when facing that onee-san, commander of the True Army, on the beginning. Feels like a natural. Though, he needed more than his nature charm to brought back the broken-heart idol into her decent previous form.

However, with all of his cultured experience over such a case with the girl, he found such an unexpectedly rare item, which finally opened up Yuki's heart onto the right track. Playboy-kun mission succeeded, a lot of victims required to make the whole Akihabara into the great stage for her, even to Rin herself.

Interesting to see her respond toward the Playboy-kun, after being supported all over from the first into her beloved partner matters with the idol, but only being ejected right before the end. I know it, girl, it must be frustating you. But, with all of that happens at once, one girl that i ever dare to await after this moment shall be appear for the next week too? Oh yeah, Rumble Garanndoll, keep impress me!

With the Power of Idol we defeated the Enemy...
It's so silly and ridiculous that's what the charm is.

Poor Akagi, maybe next time.

I like the core idea with the Akiba culture and meta comedy, but the general silliness around it hasn't been hitting laughs with how much focus there is on the robot plot and Hosomichi's harem. One too many inspiring speeches and perfunctory fights for me to keep going.

I appreciate the artistic ambition behind the concept, a pastiche of idealistic otaku culture, but it's all a bit misguided. Like for example due to that there is very little depth in the villains, they're just being villain just because and it's not like they're super entertaining have cool imposing vibes etc to make up for it

And also despite the ridiculousness and silliness there's nothing really original in the aesthetics, it's more like an amalgamation of typical idol/mecha visual sets

On a different note I mostly like the voice acting

Rin's trust in Hosomichi is truly enviable.

Well, I'm glad it was a happy ending for Yuki and Hosomichi's (friendship?)

I totally enjoyed this episode.

Especially the part that "Idols also work hard" lines.

A bit disappointing that the volume of the song Yuki earlier sang was so low that it lessen the hype while they were in battle.
If it was in high volume, I would love it.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Poor Rin, casually ejected from the mecha like that. Also Yuki should consider having a taser with fans like that just in case.
