A nice finish of the third volume. We saw a bit of Saki, but otherwise there has been such a lack of original Fruits Basket characters. Slightly disappointing.

I really liked this. Sawa x Shiki until the end.

Overall, this was pretty decent. I think it’s a pretty good sequel to Fruits Basket but I really wish it went on for longer. There’s still a little bit more that could’ve been explored (mainly about how Sawa’s going to handle her mother) and I really, really wish we got to see the grown up Fruits Basket characters interacting with each other.

However, I understand why the mangaka didn’t want to do it. It would’ve definitely taken away from the new cast and since this manga is pretty short, there’s very room to properly see more than a bare glimpse of the OG cast. Still, a damn shame.

The creator said she wants to make some one-shots. There is currently one, chapter 13, and there might be more in the future, so we might see that.

That would be pretty cool. I want to see the rest of Hajime’s family and we definitely need to see Ayame one more time.
