This is a wonderful chapter for those who love Taichi and Chihaya.

Whatever conveyed, it was strong and deeply lodged in Chihaya's heart.

It was also the first time that Chihaya did think about Taichi's romantic feelings, whatever that might mean, in the middle of her very important Queen match. She could have thought of tons of stuff. Those shrine panels keep coming back to her. The spiritual part is very important to Sensei, who keeps mentioning the gods. Shrines, Gods and Chihayaburu.....

Chihaya is flustered by her own thoughts.
She finally realised that even if he wasn't present *he always has been here*.

"Taichi is here
No it's not that
Taichi has always been here"

Where Chihaya?
In your heart?

Taichi seeing her and crying.... it's all very emotional for me.

If there is another that makes my heart squeeze, it's definitely Suou, his thoughts about the poet who also lost his eyesight...his love for the reading and the poems is something I can deeply relate to.

Chihaya seems to be playing so freely, it's beautiful. As for Shinobu, I wonder how this can end in a positive way for her. Looks like she is losing grip of her little gods bit by bit. On top of it all she gets hurt? (I am no fan of this sort of twist).

Arata is stepping up, but I don't think this dark way of playing is actually good for his inner peace. He will probably find a way to regain a positive way of playing passionately without having to think "crushing someone" is the only way.

We all have different pov's on this story... personally I just want to enjoy it in my own way. This story has been a light in the dreary days of life for a long time for me already, almost like a companion. A decade has gone by and soon the ending will be on us, a book will close and I just hope my heart will feel as warm as it always felt while following Chihayafuru.

It's kind of sad the "Se" card was taken from her. Nevertheless i don't think Chihaya Will get an easy win on her last match even if Shinobu is injured. Next episode Will put Arata on the show, btw where's Yuu when she is needed the most here by Arata. I cant wait for the development for these three. No doubt but Chihaya and Arata Will become the King and Queen.

And she is indeed heard the conversation between Taichi and Kana, why does she remember it now?

Had to love Chihaya sending Se again and again because it was one of Taichi's favorite cards His presence has made her fight more fiercely Shinobu has decided that she will take the cards even if they want to be taken by the pretty lady (Chihaya) Shinobu's foot injury may be fatal to her efforts in this game

What a good weekend for us readers. 234 is finally up while 235 raws just came out and my mind has been consumed by those spoilers.

-Taichi is here! I forgot which chapter thread I mentioned it in, but Chihaya immediately checking her phone for a text right after she heard that Arata got one from Taichi got me thinking about the events so far. The last time her and Taichi were around each other was back when the team hung out for a bit. The same night Taichi told Kana his feelings might gradually fade, and then there's no contact between the two. There's no reaching out to each other on NYE (he sent Sumire, but Chihaya doesn't know this) and there's no text from him on the long awaited match day. I felt that Chihaya was worrying about Taichi pulling away due to what transpired. If his romantic feelings for her fade then will anything be left between the two? The answer is a loud and resounding yes-she realizes that he has always been here and will continue to be, his arrival at Omi Jingu is proof of this. What relief and happiness Chihaya must feel to know this, to know that he isn't going to abandon their relationship or pull away. I wonder if Chihaya sending out "Se" has made him realize that he's an important part of her journey and someone irreplaceable to her. I also wonder if what she wanted to ask Taichi at the shrine has something to do with this-maybe she wanted to ask him to come watch the match, but felt it was too selfish after rejecting him.

-"If there's one thing I wanted engraved in my memory after I've lost my eyesight, it's this view with Kyoko-tan standing right here" must be one of the saddest lines in the entire manga. Knowing that his time to visually take in this special world and play traditional karuta will be coming to a close.

-Both Arata and Chihaya being more driven to win because of Taichi's arrival made me misty-eyed. While Harada was right when he said the trio can only go so far together since only one of the boys can face Suo, the trio are each others heart. Even though Taichi isn't on the tatami mat, his spirit is still with his dearest friends. Their victories are his victories-solo matches are team matches, team matches are solo matches.

-Arata finally playing is own style, and it's exciting Suo. I'm not sure who will win, but if this really is Suo's last official Meijin match with traditional karuta then Arata should send him off with an unforgettable game. Go on Arata, play your karuta, ride your own passion/fire, and trust that its enough. It's terrifying to face yourself, but it has to be done.

-Chihaya is playing the way wants against the one she admired and despaired at. A new queen with a new playing style is close. I can't wait to witness that moment.

-Can't wait to see the relationship between Shinobu and "Se" to come more into light. I'm fascinated by it.

-The injury foreshadowed back in 226. I'm sure some readers will dislike it, but we were warned. I'm looking forward to how Suetsugu plans on working with a possible injury without it taking away from Chihaya's victory. Maybe it'll be from a team player/solo player angle.

-Neither were mentioned this chapter, but I hope both Yuu and Chitose arrive soon to witness the victories.

I can somehow make out what's happening as I can understand some Japanese, but I still need the proper translation to understand it better. You guys know as to why this chapter hasn't been translated yet?

As for me this chapter is very amazing. I'm so happy to see Taichi, and to read, that Chihaya is thinking about him. And in Russian group I analyzed which cards she is seeing and you can acquainted with it. It's interesting, what author want to tell us. Sorry for my English.

Thanks guys!

One thing I noticed as we've shown Shinobu's perspective on the 'Se' card, the card actually represents Taichi or at least shows why it is his favorite. It is now no surprise that he likes it as he came to the point before that he was questioning whether he likes Karuta or despises it.

Great chapter as usual. Chihaya was worrying about Taichi throughout this whole chapter. If his romantic feelings for her fade then will anything be left between the two? The answer is a resounding no, she has realized that he has always been there for her and realized her true feelings for him. As for Taichi, he continues to try but cannot allow himself to let go of the feelings he has for her as we see him return to Omi Jingu as proof of this to support her, and Arata as well. What a relief. Chihaya has realized that he's an important part of her journey and someone irreplaceable to her, the one she truly loves. Oh, and chapter 235 was great as well.

Taichi being Chihaya's emotional support, sigh. How much more depressing will this get.

Let's where it's go from here.
"When they're alive, you can enjoy watching them struggle. When they're dead, you can enjoy tearing out their guts. Tales are things you get to enjoy twice."
