| Damn, the Op is amazing and set the feel of this episode brilliantly! Another 28-29 minutes of gloriousness, this show is on a roll here. Rest of Emilia's backstory covered and it was quite the surprise for sure. Geuse's entry gave me hope at the beginning but boy, I couldn't have been more wrong. Villain-san really played with Emilia there and bottled it in the process. Couldn't help but be bothered by some of the dialogue this episode though, "I killed your mother so the promise is nullified". Like hell it is. Nice to see Emilia's resolve in front of Echidna to follow up. Pretty startling revelations there though, I was expecting her to crumble a little but the girl's got it, hehe. Those tears at the end of the trial though. In any case, 2 more trials to go. And back to the Sanctuary for the final few minutes. Definitely going to need the subtitles to understand the whole picture but it's good to see that Subaru's holding his ground firmly. ED in the background to complement the scene sure did wonders too! Halfway done and we're almost 'bout to learn the true reason behind the "Sanctuary". Oh boy, what could it be? |

| FUCKING LOVED THE EPISODE! That makes it 4 back to back episodes of 29 minutes! The 1 cour break really helped a lot! Although despite that, I'm worried, don't tell me they cut the rest of the Sanctuary flashback... but judging by the opening and the end of the episode, it seems it's not and they may add it in the beginning of next episode, I mean they are already rearranging stuff, but I'm still worried nonetheless, I wouldn't like it if one of my most anticipated scenes get cut. |

| Fuck the witch of Vanity, that Pandora bitch made Geuse kill Fortuna. That broke my heart, her last moments almost made me cry. I was amazed at how emotionally strong Emilia was during her death but it was all a facade, she already broke inside. We finally know how the Elf village was frozen, it was all Emilia's doing. Also Pandora was the one who sealed Emilia's memory for her own convenience. She's a true bitch through and through. Emilia finally passed the first trial and according to Echidna the other trials should be a piece of cake for her so guess we won't get much focus on the trial again. Subaru and gang goes to meet Roswaal and it really was Otto who was the unseen gamebreaking piece. Also finally the OP for this part which was okay. | The OP is finally heard for the first time, and it has the same Re:Zero spirit, though it can take some time to get used to. It's OK at best, but generic sounding. The confrontation of young Lia with Pandora, DAMN that is one dirty scene with some suspenseful conflict. A young adult trying to manipulate a young child's thoughts into giving in for her gain into opening the Seal. The undying, immortal Witch of Vainglory/Vanity, not even Mother Fortuna stood A CHANCE against her, and promises never die from Emilia's part. The part where Geuse entered, and basically got tricked of his Unseen Hands into killing Mother Fortuna instead of Pandora, a trickster move of "loving sacrifice", I felt that immense horror of a sea of blood laying in a snow-laden land. More especially, the moment that Emilia inherited her winter hairband, the connection to the Frozen Bonds OVA made complete sense of why Emilia's the witch's daughter, and being able to conjure up ice-filled hatred from her past. No luck for Geuse to revert back to his humanly self, he's Petelgeuse now. By this point, PLEASE watch the Frozen Bonds OVA if you haven't already, it's canon but an essential storyline to the main plot. Back to the Trial of the past with Echidna, and Emilia coming into terms with her past is a great improvement, the egotistical pinnacle of hypocrisy. With that, the 1st of 3 trials done. Subaru managing to figure out the true purpose of Sanctuary by visiting the fully-recovered Roswaal with Otto and Garfiel, setting up the final straw of the battle. It's not hard to imagine Otto being an outlier, yet be a pawn in a large game board, it definitely has changed the draws of fate. |

| The OP visuals are by far the best Re:Zero has had so far. Hate that we had to wait almost two months to see the damn thing though. This episode basically covered the first half of volume 14, which is in my opinion the saddest part of Re:Zero to date. Fortuna and Geuse deserved so much better. As usual, White Fox did a great job bringing an already emotional moment to life. The OST and voice acting was top notch which enhanced the experience even more. | We finally got a lot of answers this episode.....and a lot of questions too, so it mostly evens out, haha. The directing of Pandora vs Emilia was pretty much perfect. The voice acting and dialogue between them was believable and packed all the necessary punches. The outcome of Geuse and Fortuna was a little predictable and a little undersold to be honest with the quickness of the scene and the snapping of Geuse's sanity was way too quick. Though if most of the insanity came from him absorbing the Authority of Sloth, then that might make it a little more believable, but even then, it seemed to happen too quickly. Again, some moments in this episode really gave me chills, and that's not just because of the cold weather. When Emilia was freezing the forest and trying to kill Pandora, it really tied up her mysterious background in a hauntingly sad way. Still not sure how this arc will wrap up in the remaining amount of episodes with this pacing, so looking forward to seeing how the story plays out. |

| Finally, after all this time we got to hear the OP. A 10/10 OP. Emilia went through a lot as a child. So she was the one that froze the whole forest and its people. Will they be alright after all this time being frozen? The Witch of Vanity, Pandora, is too overpowered. RIP Mother Fortuna. And I really feel sorry Geuse. I still can't believe he was a normal guy back in the days. |

| The story is getting more interesting... Emilia froze everyone in the forest when Fortuna died by Betelgeuse, and that happened to be Emilia's greatest regret. I see why she had been struggling with her past since she entered the first trial. Hope the rest of the trials aren't gonna be hard for Emilia. Also, OP is finally here! Man, I listened this in youtube but it actually is a fire when you listen to this while watching the opening. This song really is almost as good as the previous song "Realize", which was my favorite OP of the 2020 summer season. Wonder why they haven't been using this lit song for 5 eps. Animations have gotten better than the previous season as well. Especially since the previous ep, fight sequences between the Pandora and Fortuna & Betelgeuse has been top notch. Though the final animation in dialogue between Echidna and Emilia was eye-hurting and dizzy, most of the cuts were fine. Hope this keeps up with the quality and delivers some great moments to us watchers. |

| Oh damn OP is finally here, I didn't even expect it at this point. And the whole episode was incredibly great, even though it was so harsh to see the backstory like that, especially for what happened to Fortuna "because of" Geuse, Pandora was just absolutely terrifying, even more when she whispers like that, but seems like Emilia finally accepted it, that's great, now I can't wait for the next episode, especially with that last scene with Subaru, Otto, Garfiel and Roswaal |

| The OP sequence is finally out! And it looks awesome, the kiss at the start, moments slideshow, and followed by the fire and snow scene exchanges, really suited to the song, and the best part is ofc, is that Emilia is everywhere and all over the place. Amazing. Couldn't ask for a better visual. So we had to wait this long because they literally put too many spoilers there, hahaha. Damn, Pandora really knows how to talk, so damn smooth, and so cruel, she outplayed Petelguese so hard there, and basically driving him to his future self.... Poor Petelguese, poor Mother Fortuna, and most of all, poor Little Emilia. She is too young for all of this, it really hits her, but she still tried to smile at her last moments. She loves Mother Fortuna just like her own mother, and vice versa. RIP Mother Fortuna.  This awakened Emilia's incredible power, freezing the whole forest in order to get a revenge on Pandora, so this is her dark;mysterious past, which gives her the reputation and nickname. But she didn't regret all this, she is grateful for not obeying Pandora and stick with her promise with Mother Fortuna. She is now living happily and proudly in a world Mother Fortuna told her. This big smile is the proof, and thus, she passed her first trial.  In the end, even tho she is a strong girl that she is, deep down there she still miss Mother Fortuna, especially after seeing all that moment once again. Poor Emilia...  |

As part of my infinite negativity, any single manga spoiler I see I will crush you. For attempting to take one of the greatest stories told away from me. You know, at this point Im going to have to boo any platform which attempts integration of new and ongoing 2012 anime Its not a fair contest. After 2011 so much awesome is happening we need boundaries! Like making sure retar..... cant vote. Ahem, Im errrrr. |

| One of the better episodes tbh. Emillia finally seems like a character with emotions rather than a doll, geuse's insanity was shown quite nicely and the entire episode was heart wrenching to say the least. Next episode I guess we see subaru defending the mantion? Since it hasn't been overtly mentioned as of yet |
