| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Akagi showed weakness in the end. A fear that if he didn’t die now, he’d lose the conviction, possibly showing that he did feel he had to get it over with the last chapter, before it was too late, before he could hesitate. I wondered if he would cry like he said Harada should, and he did. Akagi Shigeru let out some tears. He showed he does have regret, but he has to brace it, “having regrets is proof of being alive”. He stated that regret also makes your desires shine, reluctantly making peace with it is how he liked to live. With that, the whole gang ran in with tears going down their faces. Even Harada and Soga. They couldn’t stop him. And surrounded by his friends, feeling unworthy, he has passed away. With his final words, that it’s not so scary at all. Rest in peace Akagi Shigeru, I take it he won’t be waking up in a coma. He’s a man who embodied life itself. |
