DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- As soon as Harada made the meta mistake that Ten did, by telling us, the audience, his plan, meaning of course it could never come to fruition, I freaked out. I can’t believe this manga just did that to us, two chapters in a row of insanity. Harada forced east down when their win seemed inevitable with an iron will. The “99% win" was now in west's hand, all they had to do was get to Soga, they were fully prepared. Yet, that’s when Hiroyuki, unbeknownst to anyone, played into Ten’s hand anyways. What a, perhaps, Akagi-esque move, something that goes against common sense, making a declaration of the will to 'move forward and embrace difficulty, to break new ground'. An outrageous gamble was just made. It even got a huge reaction out of Harada which I loved, and Ten recognized the bold play of Hiroyuki, he saw the spirit within him. There’s no way he could reject such a declaration, “a 5-sou from the bottom of Hiroyuki’s heart”. With this, they have cleared sanankou and east is on the brink of defeat with only one no-ten penalty on Hiroyuki’s behalf. Ten may have said west had the advantage in players but Hiroyuki may not be so far away after all. |
| Wow, Hiroyuki has indeed learned from the master Akagi himself! A truly insane move! I suspect Ten will give Hiroyuki a "point transfusion" by dealing into him once or twice, but still, bad luck in the next round would mean a devastating loss. |
