| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- And so, the 11th volume concludes the "Phoenix" manga. That was a great ride, and I enjoyed each story a lot. Regarding this part of "Sun", I think that the rebellion was portrayed really well, and I absolutely adore the designs of all these forests spirits and Buddhist deities! I now see how many artists were influenced by Tezuka's style, Go Nagai in particular. Unfortunately, it looks like the VIZ edition does not contain the short 6-page chapter "Intermission" and some other earlier works, according to this website: http://tezukainenglish.com/wp/?page_id=747 Sad! But at least I'm happy I got to read the main stories. |
