----------------------------------------
Really good episode! This anime only gets better and better.

We got a glimpse of the villains. They planned to take Athena's head for Eris's(mothers) awakening as a gift and so Phonos and Emony attacked but underestimated Saori's forces. I'm starting to think Emony and Phonos and the plant lady from the last two episodes(whom I think created the vines to pull them back) are just going to be silver saint tier depth wise. Names like Murder Phonos and Malice Emony make me think they may be kinda similar to Death Mask with his equally cheesy name. However, their leafs and their powers were given by Eris! So, I may be underestimating their characters! It's weird that they all look like vampires though! We also got a brief look at some other saint ghosts with Rigel who seems to want Kyoko back due to his memories with her. That'll be an interesting wild card.

Seeing Shoko be trained just like Seiya was about breaking rocks was adorable. Especially because Mirai is a total brat so his and Shoko's personalities bounce off each other quite well. Loved their training sequence and how it echoed Seiya's in the original. Her mimicking Mirai's words about being cursed if she opens her box was my favorite part of it.

Saori was so moved by Toki. She made a grave for him and promised to protect everyone now on, and carry the fallens hearts with her everywhere she goes. She's still struggling with being in control of lives like she is, but like how Emony mocked her for being indecisive and cowardly, like how Mayura wanted to see if she could fend for herself, like how Saori wanted to resolve herself to protect those she loves, and like Mii herself believed that Saori will show weakness because she's human but it will also allow her to grow strong, it all came together when she defended Shoko and fought with her! The music that played in that scene was so good and it had me shouting in excitement. It was a great moment for both Shoko who had her sisters cloth accept her for showing such a strong resolve and burning her cosmos and for Saori who fought in the front lines with those she loves to keep them safe. She also put herself in front of Mii earlier by telling Phonos to kill her instead of harming Mii. Cool development on both sides! It only continued at the end with Saori deciding to follow Shoko into the enemy territory. Her line about protecting the ones who trust her was righteous! Saori's easily my favorite character in this series so far with Miro at second. She's so strong!

I would have assumed Mii killed Emony if Phonos didn't use the phrase "what are you doing to my sister", the doing makes me think she's still alright.

Lastly, this is such a cool direction to take the series in! I hadn't expected this! Shoko as expected flung herself into the portal and faced the enemy base alone. But, Saori sent Mii on a rescue mission to chase her cosmos and save her as she has to set up the Galaxian Wars still. And, Miro himself his heading to the Garden of Eden!!! So cool... At first I was confused as why a Gold Saint would head out like that since in the original they are super hierarchical and have the silver saints and the gold saints only do the jobs that fit them, they tend to never have a gold saint do work that's below them, but Miro's personal ties to this make that work! It was also great to see Arles up close.

I was thinking about why Eris took Kyoko when Shoko was the host destined for her and it hit me that it could be two things:
1. Kyoko has Shoko's blood and therefore Eris can use her even if only temporarily as a replacement.
2. They took Kyoko as bait to make Shoko come so Eris could truly take her on.
There were words about mother awakening soon so I think it may be the former but I think both could be at play. Eris could use Kyoko as she waits for a chance to get Shoko.

Another good episode

I wonder if Eris is the real mother of her underlings or they just call her mother ?!

I think this episode was a downgrade compared to the previous one. I got really upset how Mii was easily trapped by Phonos, she spent five years training and a newbie Shoko was able to do better than her. And Saori? Where's that defiant but afraid Saori from the manga? I thought after episode 2, we would see her like that. I know they were making Saori's resolution to fight comes from Shoko's, which is how it goes in the manga, but she could be a bit more useful or active. She fell easily in both Emony's and Phonos' attack, duuude, you're a goddess c'mon use that cosmo. Pacing was kinda also bad until Shoko runs after Eris.

Shoko training and Toki's grave were the best parts here. I loved when Shoko imitated Mirai's voice hahaha. She's so far the best character, I just hope they don't keep taking the focus away from the other Saintia just to focus on her as they're doing now.

I have two questions - If the Sho plot goes parallel to the original, what is the arc now? And, do I understand correctly that Shoko and Kyoko's relationship are central to the show?

This arc occurs before the galactic tournament, Seiya must still be fighting Cassios or training for that.

Thank you! So all events are canon and interrelated?

Is something like "while the events of the main story happened, this was also happening behind the scenes"

Thank you for your reply. It was interesting to me, because as I understood, these girls were not mentioned in the original show.

Nice episode, Shouko was accepted by her sister's Cloth and Athena took part in the action! So the Dryads' armor is called "Leaf", and their base is in the Garden of Eden, huh. And now Miro is going to meet the sisters again.

Yeah. Although Gonzo has used few resources for this series, they have put effort into the designs of the Golden Saints.
I like the brightness of the armours and the sound they make as they move.

Surprisingly good episode! I can see some progress both in art style and animation, but mostly in consistency and pace of the story. Basically it was not that rushed, compared to the previous episodes, which eventually made it more consistent than ep. 1 and ep. 2.

Among all three episodes released to this day, this was the best in my opinion. What's more, in this episode I could feel a lot of that old Saint Seiya atmosphere. In the previous episodes I felt it too, but ep. 3 gave me the strongest feeling from all episodes of Saintia Sho released to this date.

The best épisode so far, and the one who reminded me those little things vI disliked in the comics.
- this "training"... just fingers slapping (made even worse here),
- this "oh my... what an incredible cosmo she owns" like cosmo was some potential energy.
- and finally the classic "This Cloth (did not) recognize you." but in such a case.

2~4/5

While I understand Shouko's concern about going to rescue her sister, its completely stupid that she decided to go alone to the enemy base. Also, im annoyed that Mii was easily trapped by Phonos when she could defeat Emony without much issues.

Beside those issues I have, it was an OK episode. I'm kinda curious about Milo's role in this anime.
